With a skip in her step and a smile across her face, Aurora cast her eyes about the quiet village of Godric's Hollow. The trip over had been quiet enough, but nothing could curb Aurora's enthusiasm to see James and his family. Something about the idea of seeing a full family unit together made her smile, though the family being James' may have been an inspiring factor. The truth was that ever since Aurora had left the home of the Longbottom family to go and live with her brother, a sense of family was what she wanted to feel. She thought that her own brother would be the answer, but time had brought a distance to him - even when they had been so close. Aurora and Nik could still get along just fine, but she could feel that something was different. She missed her sister and her mother. Walking tall through the narrow-ish streets, the quiet brunette looked down at a piece of parchment in her hand, upon which she had scribbled the Potter's home. She looked back up to see the path to her destination and wasted no time in getting there. A London-minute later, she was knocking on the door. The village was beautiful, but the thought of really getting to meet James' family was too exciting for Aurora to focus on anything else. @jams @al lily luna potter

James's heart felt as if it were going to pound out of his chest, in both a good and a bad way. First of all, he was beyond excited for Aurora to formally be meeting his whole family all in one place when things were relatively normal. At past Qudditch games, it had always been awkward with his mother's memory so he had never really properly introduced his girlfriend to his parents. Secondly, James was very nervous... not because of his parents but because of two little buggers by the names of Albus and Lily. They both had met Aurora before at school. They had known her for some time. James was sure Albus didn't care for her, of if he did, he did an excellent job of pretending like he hated her, and Lily... well, it was always hard to tell what she thought about people. But he had more hope for Lily being more poilte than Albus. No matter, James thought; he would just keep it calm and cool and the night would go by in a breeze.
When there was a knock at the door, James sprung up from his spot on the living room arm chair and practically ran to the door. "She's here, she's here!" He yelled quietly so that his family would hear, hoping that Aurora hadn't heard on the outside. Wearing a bright smile, James opened the door to see his beautiful brunette girlfriend. "Rory," he greeted her, pulling her in through the door and into a quick but loving hug. "I'm so glad you're here... we're so glad you're here, uh -" he knew he was stuttering. "Guys, Aurora's here!" He called out for his family.

"She's here, she's here! Rory, I'm so glad you're here... we're so glad you're here, uh - Guys, Aurora's here!" al rolled his eyes as he walked down the stairs toward james and rory. really? he was there? he hadn't heard it the first time james had screamed it through the house. "no kidding james." he said as he reached the bottom of the stairs. he looked at aurora and wondered how tonight was going to go. their last meeting hadn't gone so well when he had said that he agreed with the people who had accused her of being one of the people behind all that was going on and he still wasn't one hundred percent that she wasn't. he folded his arms across his chest and nodded lightly at her. "aurora"

Somewhere inside, someone approached the door, causing Aurora's heart to flutter, though it surely skipped a beat when the door opened to reveal her handsome, hunky boyfriend whose arms she just could not get enough of. Her silent wish was granted as she was pulled into the house and into his arms. Aurora smiled brightly.
"James!" she replied, tossing her hair back and letting her curls bounce a little. "I'm glad to finally be here!" It really was. As she looked about the entryway, she did a little twirl and sighed happily. The house felt like a home, much warmer in tone than Nik's apartment and nowhere even close to the stuck-up fancy tone that she had grown up in. Aurora got the same feeling here that she did at the Longbottom estate: This was a place where someone could really live.
Albus appeared soon after with his own, quieter greeting. Aurora smiled at him and nodded back. "Heya, Al!" she greeted, adding in a little wave after. She and Albus didn't exactly have the brightest history, but what he had said and stood by were not what had been keeping her awake for the past eight months or so. It was water under the bridge to her.
"Godric's Hollow is beautiful this time of year! Is it this lovely year-round?"

James was pretty used to always being laughed at or his siblings rolling their eyes at him. For the eldest sibling, he sometimes felt like Lily and Albus should have been born before him. They always did seem a bit more mature than he did. But he would never tell them that!
James grinned widely as he watched Aurora step inside the house and do a little twirl. Seeing her do such a thing made his own heart all warm and fuzzy-feeling; he could watch her all day. When Albus appeared at the bottom of the stairs, James was a little disappointed he only greeted Aurora by saying her name. He shouldn't have expected more from him though; that just wasn't Albus's style.
The Gryffindor alum turned back to his beautiful girlfriend. "It's a lot better in the fall, eh, Al? Lots of better color and all that fun stuff," he said, in a much happier mood than he usually was. With graduating and then no having a job right out of school, James kind of moped around the house a lot. But with Aurora around, it was like a complete attitude change.

"Godric's Hollow is beautiful this time of year! Is it this lovely year-round? "It's a lot better in the fall, eh, Al? Lots of better color and all that fun stuff," al nodded his head a little as he stood on the bottom of the stairs. it was a nice place to live, he already had plans of buying somewhere in the village when he graduated and went into the big bad world on his own. he'd grown up around this place and he wanted his kids to know the feeling of growing up in a place to great. "it's nice all year around. but it's best in the winter when it snows" he said honestly, it was his favourite time of year. when the snow was freshly fallen and you were the first to walk in it, touch it and discover it. he had sent many a winter in the back yard with his siblings and his cousins making snow angels and having snow ball fights, in fact quite a few of his aunts and uncles had joined in too. though those visits had stopped years ago, around the time most of the kdis had started school.

Harry didn't know how he felt about this visit. He knew that judging someone by their surname was detestable, but he couldn't help it. Harry had no lost love for the Lestrange family, least of all Bellatrix, and it was hard for him to stomach the fact that his son was involved with one of them. There was irony to be found in that - Sirius, one of the men for whom James had been named, had been the black sheep of his family the way he assumed Aurora Lestrange was the black sheep of hers. James had been so excited for her to visit, and considering that he hadn't been excited by much lately, Harry supposed that he should be happy that something was pulling James out of his funk. He had been in the bedroom, straightening his tie (of course he was wearing a tie!) when James had called that Aurora was there. Harry took a deep breath, steeling himself, before making his way down the stairs and into the front entrance.
"Aurora." He said, keeping his voice carefully neutral as he surveyed the girl. "It's nice to finally meet you. If you would believe it, James would not shut up about this." Harry smiled slightly. It wasn't difficult to believe that James would keep talking for a long, long time about a meeting with his family. If Albus had done the same thing, maybe it would have been strange, but James...it probably would have been stranger if he didn't speak at all.
