Axel was waiting for Chloe in Flourish and Blott's. Surprisingly, when he asked for permission to meet her here, his parents said he could go on his own, as long as he went by Floo Powder and waited for her inside the bookshop. Score! Apparently his parents thought that Chloe would be on time, so they wouldn't have to worry about Axel sneaking off or something. He wouldn't sneak off, even if she was late. Sure, Axel likes to mess around but this was a matter of trust and he wanted his parents to trust him so he could get more opportunities like this in the future. Add in the fact that he was waiting in a book store and he was good.
Axel liked reading. He loved to learn new things, so he just picked up a book and looked through it while he waited. It was the book he needed for charms class this year. He was flipping quickly through the pages, skimming what he'd be learning when he heard someone walk up behind him. He automatically flipped the page, groaning when he felt the familiar pain shoot up his finger. He read too much. He really just needed to stay away from paper so this could stop happening. He got paper cuts way too often.
He lifted his injured pointed finger to his mouth and sucked on it a little as he continued turning around. What? That was the only way to kind of get rid of the pain. "Paper cut," he explained, looking at his finger again before turning his attention to the person who caused the cut in the first place.

177 . @axel . outfit . sorry it's so bad! Chloe had a book date with her little brother Axel and she was going to make sure she was on time for him. She hated being late, especially when she had things to do with him. Axel was her favorite brother, and while she wouldn't admit it to anyone but him, she adored him so much. Chloe practically raised Axel from the minute he was born and they had just gotten closer with age. She'd do anything for that little boy, no matter what may happen to her.
After apparating to Flourish & Blotts she glanced around for his brown mop of hair and grinned when she saw him glancing down at a book, per usual. Chloe slowly walked up behind him and grinned. He obviously heard her, because he turned around with a finger in his mouth. Giving him an unusual look, she finally understood when he said he got a paper cut. "Oh! I'm sorry Axel. Didn't mean to scare you...but I did." Chloe smiled brightly down at her youngest brother. "How are you doing? Excited for school?" ✤

Despite his paper cut, Axel grinned at the sight of his older sister. She always brightened up his days, even on a day like today where everything was going perfectly. He loved talking with her and spending time with her. She'd practically raised him and so he felt comfortable telling her everything. He didn't have any secrets from Chloe.
"I wasn't scared!" He denied, probably too enthusiastically. She wasn't going to believe him. "And other than getting another paper cut, I'm fine. I'm excited to spend the day with you, as always," he told her with a smile. "Heck yes!" He answered in response to her last question. "Summer is great, but I love school. Can't wait to get back. What about you?" he asked. "And what do you have planned for today?"

words . @axel . Chloe glanced down at her brother's paper cut and gave him a small smile. "Well, I'm glad you're okay, Ax." I didn't have much planned for today, actually. Just hanging out with you! So whatever you want to do." [/b] She figured she'd buy him a few things here and there and buy him lunch or dinner, depending on how long they'd be out together. "But I'm also excited for school!"[/blockquote][/font][/div] ✤[/div][/div][/div]

Axel smiled back up at his older sister, "Of course I'm ok. If I wasn't used to paper cuts by now, I'd just have to quit books. They're quite dangerous, you know," he laughed. It was nice to be around Chloe again. When he was at home he always felt like he needed to be polite and proper, but with her he could just be himself, which was always fun.
"Whatever I want?" he asked, surprised, but not at the same time. Chloe always made sure that he would enjoy their time spent together. It was one of the many things he loved about her. "Well can we go to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes?" Axel smiled winningly, almost sure his sister would agree. He loved that place. All the prank equipment was divine and he couldn't help himself when he went there.

words . @axel . <3 Chloe laughed at her youngest brother. Give up books? Yeah right, why would anyone do that? She knew it was normal for him to give himself to many paper cuts, but it was an unusual amount.
Chloe nodded her head at Axel when he got excited that it was whatever he wanted to do. That was what she usual planned to do anyways, unless there was something specific that she herself wanted to do with him. But today, right before school, hell, she let Axel choose. And, WWW is what he picked. Chloe shook her head and gave him a 'you know better look', "Fine, but you don't use anything of what you get at school, on your siblings or on your parents, got it?" She doubt he would listen to that rule but she knew he'd say okay just to make her feel better. ✤

Axel grinned, realizing that he'd won. Even though Chloe was telling him not to do with the supplies he was about to get, she wasn't going to enforce it. Granted, there were parts of her "rules" that he would keep. One, not using it on siblings or parents. However, she wouldn't really appreciated his reasoning, which was that using it on them would be no fun. Using at Hogwarts however ... yeah, that was going to be a blast. "Sure sure," he said casually, not making a big deal out of it. "Sure I won't use it on my parents and sure I won't use it on my siblings. Not sure that I won't use it at school" He thought to himself.
"Sweet!" Axel jumped up and put the book back on the shelf. It wasn't his, he'd just been skimming through it while he waited for Chloe to come. "So ... are you excited about this year?" he asked casually, not showing his real interest. The truth was, he was told to bring dress robes to Hogwarts. That meant something was going on. Axel was sure that Chloe knew what it was, but unsure if she would tell him or not. That wouldn't stop him from trying though ...

95 . @axel . <3! Chloe gave her little brother a 'really?' type of look. She knew he was going to ask about that sometime soon, but Chloe wasn't allowed to say anything about the letters that were sent out nor did she want to. That wasn't something she wanted to get out into the world before school had even started. "Yes, I am extremely excited for school, Ax! And no, I'm not telling you about the letter. You'll figure it out at the opening feast. Now let's go to WWW." Chloe laughed at Axel. He was something else, that's for sure. ✤

Axel shrugged when Chloe wouldn't tell him what was going on at the school. "It was worth a try, right?" he asked with a smile. He didn't think he'd frustrated her too much, which was a good thing. He'd be disappointed if he'd messed up their day, but he didn't think so. She was smiling at him. "But they're gonna tell us the first night? That's not too bad then. I was thinking they weren't gonna tell us for a few months." He smiled when she laughed.
He stared around himself in wonder as they got into the store. No matter how many times he'd been there before, it always amazed him. All the amazing things here, it was paradise to him. He stared at one item and then ran to the next. "Chloe look at this!" He told her almost every time he found something new. "What do you think?" he asked her once he had an armful of stuff to show her.
@jill4 (Sorry I'm tired so I couldn't think of what exactly he wanted to have. You can be more specific or keep it vague)

words . Axel . outfit . sorry it's so bad! Chloe smiled at her brother. "Yes, great try, Axel." Chloé wondered if it was a bad idea that she mentioned that he'd find out at the feast. She didn't think that was so bad, but she also hoped he wouldn't go telling anyone, otherwise she may get in trouble.
As he went around picking stuff out and showing her, Chloé couldn't help but laugh at his antics and she shook her head. "Yes, Axel, they're all great. But don't forget what I said!" She gave him a look. "I personally like the potions that they have." Chloé gave him a wink. ✤

Axel looked at his sister curiously. He could tell she was nervous about something and decided to take a stab and see if he knew what it was. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone else Chloe. They'll find out soon enough," he said, acting as if he already knew what was going on. Hopefully he'd be able to get a laugh out of her and stop her from being nervous at the same time.
Axel looked at his sister innocently when she told him not to forget what she'd told him. "Me? Forget? I don't know the meaning of the word," he said ridiculously. He was in too good of a mood to be serious right now. Then she winked at him, basically telling him he should go take a look at the potions. Axel's eyes widened and he grinned at his older sister. "Where are they?" he asked her as he looked around quickly. "What kinds of potions do they have?" Axel followed her across the store.

@axel . outfit . sorry it's so bad! Chloé laughed at her brother. He was definitely something else, but he always knew how to make her happy and smile. "Good job, Ax."
Axel suddenly got extremely excited when she mentioned the potions. It made Chloé chuckle out loud and she waved him along as they walked across the store and to the potion section. "Here you are! There's tons." ✤

Axel was looking through all the potions, hoping to find one that he could use at school- not that he'd be letting his sister know that. He read some of the labels out loud, until he got to one. "Love potion? Really? Who would want that?" he said, backing away and looking at the potion in disgust. He was done with them.
He looked at the small handbasket he had in his hands. He had a bunch of cool potions, nothing like that nasty love one, and some other items that would make life fun and interesting this year. He looked at his sister with a smile, "I've got everything I want. What do you want to do now?" he asked as he made his way over to the counter to pay.

@axel ### <3 Chloé laughed loudly at her brother's reaction to the love potion. He was a typical fourteen year old boy, but she knew within the next year he'd become much more interested in girls. "Just you wait, Axel."
As he finished putting things in his basket, they finally made their way up to the front. Chloé pulled out her money and began taking out the correct change. She nodded at the cashier in thanks as they walked out the door. "Hmmm...are you hungry?"

Axel didn't like how his sister seemed to think he was going to start chasing girls this year or something. He fake glared at her, "No, I don't need to. You're the one who's going to be waiting for that." He finished with a smile. He couldn't actually imagine how his sister would react if he actually did start liking girls. Would she be supportive or protective. And interesting thought.
He grinned at her when she mentioned food, "Starving! Where are we going to go to eat?" He asked, guessing her next plan. He didn't care where they ate, as long as there was good food. He was hungry, not that it was unusual for him.
