Cori listened intently to what Maryn was saying. It made sense, it sounded like exactly what Cori would do. The main reason her and Alice fought to much was because they were so much alike, Cori couldn't deny that She sighed and nodded, "Yeah... it's best just to avoid the situation all together, I think. I don't know her life and she doesn't know mine... but she sure acts like she does." Cori chuckled. Maryn had sounded rather harsher than usual when talking about Alice, but Cori assumed it was just because she was being a good friend and getting riled up for Coris sake. Maryn was sweet, and scary, like that. She was a good person to have on your side, that much was certain. "I guess we both act tough but we really aren't," she added, referring to herself and Alice.
Then Maryn brought up the research for the cure, Cori sighed and shook her head, "No luck on the plant front. I'm starting to think my best bet is to find my father and then make him find the people who did it and make them reverse it," she ran her fingers through her hair and laughed, "if that's not a crazy plan. I don't know what is..." she tried to think of ways that her best friend could help her out, but nothing specifically came to mind. She really just needed to accept her fate and move on... right? "I'll let you know first thing if you can help but right now... it just seems- wait." she paused, "There is someone who is immune to my skin. Carcer. We think it's because of the whole half giant thing, do you know what that's all about?"

"Yeah... it's best just to avoid the situation all together, I think. I don't know her life and she doesn't know mine... but she sure acts like she does." Maryn laughed along with Cori, about the whole Alice thing. "I guess we both act tough but we really aren't," Well part of that was true. Maryn had known Cori for quite a few years now and she knew that her friend was a tough person even though she didn’t think it. “Well you my friend are a tough person when you need to be, and then Alice I think it is a front and that she is hiding something.” Maryn said to her friend about the whole being tough.
Maryn frowned when she herd Cori say that there was no luck on the plant front. “I am sorry that you haven’t had any luck with that so far. And as for finding your dad I think that is a crazy plan, but if you decide to do that I will go with you.” She offered to go with so her friend would not be alone and so that she also knew that Maryn would be there for her every step of the way. "I'll let you know first thing if you can help but right now... it just seems- wait… There is someone who is immune to my skin. Carcer. We think it's because of the whole half giant thing, do you know what that's all about?" Now that was something to go on. Maryn did not know what that was all about but she knew two people who did or at least they would know people who did, or at least she hoped so.
“I don’t know Cori, but I do know two people who might be able to help you out with figuring this all out. I would talk to Professor Grey and also…” Maryn hesitated in saying the next person because she was not sure where she stood with her sister since she still hasn’t gone to talk to her sister yet. “…and my sister Sasha, she is a nurse in the hospital wing. I recommend you talk to both of them.” Maryn looked around and then cast several privacy charms around them so no one could listen to what she was going to say next. “The reason why I think you should go to both of them, is because I think and I am pretty sure that they are not just a nurse and a professor, no I think that those are like cover jobs, for their actual jobs. It might seemed farfetched but I think that they are part of the International Aurors. So they will know and if not they will know someone who will know.” She paused and then added. “What I just said about Professor Grey and my sister, do not tell anyone about that. It would not be good if word got out about them being in that organization. And if you want I can go with you to talk to them, that is if you do not want to go alone.” Maryn fell silent and looked at her friend hoping that everything would would work out for her and that they could figure out some way to stop the curse that her friend had to deal with on a daily basis.

Cori was grateful that Maryn was taking her side. Of course, Maryn would always take her side if it was logical, sometimes even if it wasn't. "Thanks Mar, not as tough as you though!" Cori smiled. It was true. Cori could bet Maryn could take down an army if she needed to, whilst Cori would not be able to do that.
"I know it's crazy, but what other choice to I have? I mean, Professor Longbottom and I discussed one plant that might work, Moonblossom, but it's nothing solid yet..." It really was a crazy plan, finding her father, but Cori didn't care! She knew that it was probably one of the only chances she had. Plus, didn't every orphan want to find their birth parents eventually? What better way to find them than to demand they fix your curse? Seemed logical.
Cori was very quite when Maryn explained the craziness that was her theory on her sister and Walton. She cocked an eyebrow at Maryn, "Okay, now you're the one who sounds cookoo. But I won't tell anyone that," because she didn't believe it. Why would IA members be undercover in the school? Well, it made sense that they wanted to protect the youngsters but still... it was a strange thing. "I don't even know either of them. Maybe... maybe you could ask for me?" Cori suggested. She didn't like strangers one bit, especially not adults who may or may not be 'superheroes'. She was sure Maryn had to have some truth behind this theory though, because she'd never believe something like that unless she had some kind of proof.

"Thanks Mar, not as tough as you though!" At this compliment Maryn smiled, that was something that she often heard from her friend. But she was sure that Cori could be quite formidable if pressed. "I know it's crazy, but what other choice to I have? I mean, Professor Longbottom and I discussed one plant that might work, Moonblossom, but it's nothing solid yet..." Maryn knew what plant that was she had seen something like it not to long ago but she didn’t say anything about it since she had a feeling that Ronan had already shown it to Cori in the underground cavern below the school.
"Okay, now you're the one who sounds cookoo. But I won't tell anyone that…I don't even know either of them. Maybe... maybe you could ask for me?" Maryn laughed a little bit at being called cookoo. “Well I wouldn’t be me if I was not a little bit cookoo.” She commented with a smile, that whole thing was absrued wasn’t it? “You may not know them but they are great people even my sister is an amazing person. How about we both go and talk to them about this?” Maryn suggested since she didn’t want to face her sister alone right now. Maryn wanted to go off on her sister for leaving her and her little sister to fend for themselves. But then yet again why should she be angry at one of the few people that she got along with. Her feelings towards Sasha were mixed and when and if she talked to her sister she hoped that someone else would be there with her for support.
(sorry that it is short)

Cori was happy that Maryn had suggested they got together, it made her life a lot easier. "I can't believe I didn't think of that. Yes, this is a good idea," she smiled at her friend. Seriously, Maryn was the best person ever. Why hadn't Cori thought about checking with her sister, the Hogwarts Nurse, before? Though, the whole 'International Auror' thing made it seem like an even better idea. Cori still didn't know if she believed this to be true, but she trusted Maryn. Also, The huffle had really good instincts and Cori couldn't deny that. "You should owl them and see if we can come by tomorrow or something?" she suggested.
(So shooort because I think we should stop this here. This conversation pretty much came full circle.)
