Well that wasn't a great start to the day. Boudicea had woken up in a bit of a daze. She'd had a pretty rough night out last night. She'd had far too much to drink and way too many questions aimed at her than she felt comfortable with to be honest. There was an absolute onslaught of media attention and she couldn't remember if she'd answered things in an appropriate manner or not, in fairness to Boudi that wasn't exactly because of the drinks but more because she wasn't as eloquent as she wished she could be. She always had issues with the media taking her words out of context or because she phrased things in an odd way. She often found her mind raced far too fast and multiple sentences all came out at once. She wished she knew that it happened to at least one other person she knew but everyone she knew always seemed so calm an collected, she on the other hand was a complete swirl of emotions. She was up and down, left and right with all the diagonals in between. He mind was full of a lot of things and there seemed to be little to absolute no order at all to it.
Boudi got out of bed and got herself sorted for the day. She had something on this afternoon and she knew she looked like she'd been dragged backwards through a hedge repeatedly. She was stuffy and did not have the energy to do herself up so track pants, baggy tee it was, a cloak on because of where she was headed. Her hair was tied up in a scruffy ponytail, her hair only half brushed because she didn't have the energy to deal with it. She'd even tried a little magic and that hadn't worked out well. Her mind wasn't straight enough to perform any decent magic. She was always a sort of average student so it made sense to her that she would only ever be a sort of average adult. At least she was good at Quidditch. She'd loved quidditch for such a long time and it was the only thing she was ever any good at, she was so pleased she could make a career out of it but she had to think about what she wanted to do after quidditch, unfortunately she wasn't great at looking into the future, she figured it would fall into place when it was time to retire. She kind of hoped she could just marry rich and not worry about working any more. That would be ideal, just pursue her hobbies, not that she really had any beside quidditch, but maybe she'd have kids, who knew?
Boudi brushed her teeth and disapperated from her apartment. She reappeared at a safe location off of a dank and dark alley. The alley looked quiet but Boudi knew that she couldn't trust anything in Knockturn Alley, not even her own instincts. She pulled up the hood of her cloak to hide her face and she made her way out of the small space between the two shops where she'd been. She looked up and down the alley, able to see though the hood of her cloak as plain as day, a simple little charm she used on all of her cloaks so she could hide her face but still be aware of her surroundings.
Boudi made her way up the alley, away from the light at the end and headed towards the darkness. The alley had a horrible smell hat she was slowly getting used to, there were paddlers in the middle trying to sell the dodgiest things imaginable but no one bothered her, no one ever bothered someone with their face covered here because you never knew who you were bothering and a lot of people here didn't like to be bothered if they were trying to be unnoticed and if they were bothered ... well it never worked out too well. Shady was a very good word for the majority of people here and she supposed that included herself as well, at least at the moment.
Slipping into a potion store there was no one about but the bell over the door rang out at the back of the shop. Boudi made sure the door shut behind her as a figure walked out from somewhere behind the counter. A crocked smile graced the ageing features and he seemed more slumped over than usual. "Good afternoon." He smiled. She may have been hidden but he knew exactly who he was dealing with. "The usual I presume." He said, reaching below his counter and pulling out a small, sleek box. The shop was dark but any light there reflected on the box. The black shine was beautiful and everytime she saw it Boudi felt the urge to reach out and touch it but she dared not, instead she simply nodded and dropped a small drawstring pouch of money on the counter. The man chuckled and opened up the box with his almost crippled hands. Every time Boudi wanted to peer inside but she didn't, she kept her composure and her position, she couldn't show interest, this man knew enough about her dealings all ready, she couldn't let him know any more about her, not while so much of her life was all ready public knowledge.
The man pulled out three potions in vials and laid them carefully on the counter, he checked the money and Boudi checked the potions. He closed his black box, put it under the counter and slipped the money pouch into his pocket. Boudi lowered the potions and nodded her head before turning her back and walking out of the store. She hated it. Every month she was here, every month she felt this sense of disgust wash over her but she had to be here, she needed to get those potions. She looked back as she left and the man was just stood there, smiling a wicked smile. She felt so uneasy but she left the shop, just like she always did only now she needed something to cheer herself up.
Heading down the dark alley Boudi went towards the light, towards the hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley. It was good, so very good to see the light. At the end of the alley she slipped her hood back slowly so she could look out at the crowd and eventually she blended in with everyone, some in muggle like clothes, some in wizarding robes and she just fit in. Up a head Boudi spot a shop that could cheer up pretty much anyone. Her stomach grumbled in protest at her decision of humour over food but she decided Weasley Wizard Wheezes was a far better use of her time right now.
The shop was busy, so very, very busy. School kids seemed to be every where and quite a lot of parents seemed to be looking disapprovingly at a few of the products but they brought a smile to Boudi's face. She remembered growing up with these things. They were fantastic and the shop was always somewhere worth a visit when you were feeling a little low. Boudi was feeling as though this visit was going to be a little different because it was so jam packed with people but she was able to move about so that wasn't so bad, that was until she turned about and bumped into someone, causing her disheveled self to stagger a little. "Oh bugger! Sorry!" She said, shaking her head a little, she was fairly certain her face had collided with an elbow or chin, definitely something pointy and ow-y.
