Goodness! Jonah had absolutely no clue what was going on, but Poet had just sent him to some place in the middle of no where for fires? That was all the information he had received. Not who else was there, not why the fire had occurred, or why he had to be the one to help put it out. Oh well, what could you do? Jonah had apparated to where he was told to go, and it was getting darker, other than the smoke and flames he saw up ahead. Jonah coughed, and pulled out his wand and held it out in front of him.
He squinted his eyes, trying to see better through the grey smoke surrounding him. He made his way around a few bricks and rocks to where there was better air. He was now above the fires, looking down upon them. Jonah saw a few people around, and one he actually recognized. Andrew Lloyd! Jonah grinned goofily and waved down to where he was. "Andrew! Up here, you lug!"

@jill3 Andrew wasn't sure how the fires had started, but he was fairly certain it had been his fault. Here he was, working, breaking curses, solving puzzles. Literally one of his favorite things in the whole world. To be fair he had been thinking of his very most favorite thing in the world. That was when it had happened. Flames shot up from where he put his foot down. He yelped and took a step back and more flames shot up. He cursed, he hadn't been paying attention and had stepped right into one of the traps he was supposed to be making sure people didn't step in. Soon the flames were out of control and Andrew knew he was going to need help. So he called in a favor, looking for help. Before he knew it someone was putting out the fires. He waved his arms in front of his face and coughed into his sleeve. He looked up onto a balcony and grinned, still coughing. "Jonah!" he waved then started to make his way up to where Jonah was. "How are you, mate?" he asked when he met him.

Andrew looked up and saw him, and Jonah grinned happily. "I'm fantastic! How are you? Other than this fire, of course." Jonah laughed even though he knew it wasn't a laughing matter. Jo coughed, and took out his wand. "Reducio!" The fires all became very small, and Jonah grinned. He had to say it a few times to get all of the fire, but it worked. Now, he just had to actually put the fires out. Jonah went along the sides of the smaller fires, repeating, "Aguamenti."

@jill3 Andrew coughed some smoke out of his lungs and started helping put the fires out. He reached the place where Jonah was and clapped him on the back. "It is only a little fire." he said as he coughed again. The fire was his fault, because he hadn't been paying attention. But he would make sure it didn't do any permanent damage, and that would be even easier with Jonah here. "Well little enough that I thought to call fire and rescue." he said with a smirk, water spraying from his wand to put out the last of the fires around them.

Jonah laughed at Andrew as he patted him on the back. It wasn't a big fire, but it sure as hell wasn't a little fire, either. Jonah couldn't help but wonder how Andrew had gotten this to happen, but it wasn't too bad. The fires went down easily and Jonah turned back to Andrew, watching him put out the last of them.
"Well that definitely was a smart idea!" Jonah grinned brightly at him. "What are you doing out here anyways?"

@jill3 Andrew stowed his wand away in his robe pocket, but kept it accessible for easy recovery, should he need it. "I was supposed to be making sure none of these traps out here got set off by muggles. But I got lost in thought and... here we are." He shrugged, gesturing the smoldering pieces of ash that were float down from the sky. "I should probably keep my thoughts on the task at hand. huh?" he said. However, with a girlfriend like Emily... That was easier said than done.

Jonah rose his eyebrows at Andrew. Well, he definitely did a great job of that. He couldn't help but laugh and laugh. Andrew was too funny. And Jonah was one to find humor in absolutely anything anyways, no matter how horrible the area now looked. The grass was black and burnt, and it smelt quite foul. But he just laughed. "Yeah, you probably should. Don't want you setting anything else on fire, Andrew!" Jo rose and eyebrow and grinned at him. "How've you been? Other than dealing with this mess."

@jill3 Andrew thought on the question. Difficult times always pass had been his mantra for quite a while now. But there was so much good pressed into the bad that... well answering anything other than good would be a lie. "I've had some rough times, but overall, positive would be the word I would describe my attitude. What about you? Putting out fires seems to be your specialty."

"Positive is always good!" Jonah knew many people went through hardships and no matter what they did, they were always so pessimistic. The way he thought about it, if you want anything to get better, you need to be happy and figure it out. Otherwise you don't have much of an option to have bad luck. "Life's been good. Working a lot, hanging out with Jacob, nothing real important." Other than Royal. It wasn't hard for Jonah to keep him a secret, he just wished he could spoil him rotten and show the world how much he cared for him.

@jill3 Andrew gave Jonah a look. Was his friend hiding something? Or had he just been thinking of something else? either way, Andrew wasn't going to pry, at least not tonight. Perhaps later.... "Looks like we're both just trudging on through. Which is to be expected of two very handsome young men." he said with a wink. He was very glad Jonah had shown up, he didn't know if he would have been able to get the fires out all on his own. Plus, since his mission was now a bust... he could go home to Emily early.

Jonah snorted at Andrew's compliment and shook his head. "Of course it's expected!" Jo put his wand back in his robe pocket and glanced around at the wooded area in front of them. He rose an eyebrow but decided not to comment on it. "How's your family? Any girlfriend?" He grinned. Jonah was always teasing his friends about their love life, mostly because Jonah himself really had never had much of one besides Luke.

@jill3 Andrew paused at his friend's questions. It was strange the conflicting emotions that both raced to the surface of his attention. Sorrow and complete joy. He shrugged as he thought of how to answer. He didn't want to take away from the friendly spirit that they had. "Girlfriend? Yes. You know Emily Hartridge of the Daily Prophet?" he asked with a smirk. It would be better to just answer that question than the first anyway. She was his favorite subject.

Jonah thought for a moment, and then grinned. "Yes! Emily! She's done a few interviews for some of the other aurors I know, actually. Well she's a beauty, lucky you." Jonah grinned and winked at him, chuckling. Jonah had Royal, but that was still something to be kept secret, and Andrew hadn't asked if Jonah had a boyfriend either so he was hopeful the subject wouldn't come up. "How long have you two been together?"

@jill3 Andrew's thoughts got a little jumbled, as they often did, when he thought of Emily. But he was used to that, he could keep going with this conversation. "You don't have to tell me, every time I look at her... anyway. We've been dating for a few months, almost a year actually, that's crazy." he said thinking about it. "It is pretty amazing. What about you? You seeing anyone?" he asked, not wanting to get off onto an Emily tangent because he knew how long he could be on that train.

Jonah nodded his head, happy for his friend. "Well that's great! Almost a year is a long time, you two must be really happy together." He immediately thought of Royal, and they had been together for a couple of months now. He really wanted to tell Andrew, as he asked, but he couldn't. Royal was still very quiet about everything, and the only people who knew about them was Royal's family. "Nope! Not seeing anyone right now. But hey, that just means the right guy hasn't come along yet." Jonah grinned, wishing he could say something. It hurt him to say he wasn't seeing anyone, because he was. But Royal's feelings had to come before his own.
