It was November 2nd and Emily had come to interview the Tournament Champions for the Daily prophet. They had been interviewed by other writers a bit as well, but seeing as Emily was the primary Hogwarts Correspondant, she needed to get her interviews in as soon as possible. She'd be intervieing the champions one at a time in the Great Hall, at a little table set off to the side on this Saturday afternoon. Her current interviewee was @annelise , for Hogwarts.
"Hi Anna, I'm Emily. Nice to meet you," she started, standing to shake the girls hand before gesturing to the bench and sitting across from her. "I was in Ravenclaw while at school here. I'm sure your house has been pretty excited for you?"

Anna was nervous. Well, hopefully she didn't seem nervous, but she felt like she couldn't be herself over the last few days. Not really. Everything seemed a little off since ... well since the night her name was pulled out of the Goblet of Fire. She hoped no one could see the stress and anxiety she felt, but it was there, hidden under the surface and she knew exactly why. Lucy. Though Anna and her twin were never close, Lucy seemed to just have the ability to know right where it hurt and that night she really just hit Anna with her anger and frustrations, holding nothing back. It wasn't her anger that upset Anna, it was the thought that maybe her sister was right. The nagging thought that she couldn't get to go away, no matter how many times her friends and classmates thought she was perfect for Hogwarts Champion, her enthusiasm was gone, replaced by doubt.
Still, now was not the time to show that. Anna was going to her first-ever-interview and she wanted everything to go well. So far, no one really noticed how she felt about everything (at least, they didn't say anything), so if she could fool her close friends, she could fool a reporter that didn't know her, right? That was the goal.
Anna walked into the Great Hall with an easy smile when she spotted the reported. "Hi Emily. Nice to meet you too," she answered politely, taking a seat when Emily gestured she should do so. At Emily's first question, Anna couldn't stop the grin that covered her face. Perfect, a question about her housemates, "Well, since you went to school here, I'm sure you know how Gryffindors are." She laughed lightly, "I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they could hear my classmates cheering all the way in London when my name was announced. I can't believe how much support everyone's showing me, it's just great," she finished, thinking of her close friends and how they were there for her. Her mind flashed back to her fight with Lucy, but she kept the smile on her face and forced those thoughts away. Anna was not going to let them ruin her interview.

Emily was glad to see a smile on Anna's face at her first question, not that she expected anything less. Emily took notes with her quill in hand as Anna spoke, but her eyes only glanced down occasionally, not wanting to seem like she wasn't paying attention. Emily was always paying attention, that was her way. She had already counted the number of students in the room and calculated the percentage from each house and guessed ages. They weren't' sitting near them, of course, but Emily chose the Great Hall because she didn't want the Champions to feel cornered at all.
Emily laughed when Anna said that you could hear her classmates all the way to London. Emily nodded as Anna finished, "the support is great to have an I'm sure well-deserved," she said, catching a glimpse of something rapidly appearing and leaving Anna's eyes for a moment. Something... not so positive, but she pressed on. "You have a lot of family at the school and out, of course. How are they all taking it? I'm sure your parents must be very proud."
@annelise (just keep in mind emily is hyperperceptive, like Sherlock Holmes :> But she won't use that against you.)

Anna refused to think about Lucy. Even though the question was basically asking for it, nope. She smiled at Emily's next question. "They're all pretty excited. I've spent a lot of time with my cousins and they just can't wait to see the Tasks. My parents want me to be careful, but they think it's a good opportunity. I told them when I put my name in, but I don't think they expected my name to come out, you know? It's ... a lot to take in." Anna paused. Did she really answer the question? Well, she didn't mention Lucy, but she was hoping she wouldn't have to. She didn't really know what else to say though so she just waited. Surely Emily had questions prepared, so she didn't feel much pressure

Emily nodded as she spoke of her family and how her cousins couldn't wait to see the task. No specific mention of her sister, though. Of course her parents wanted her to be careful, her other relatives probably did too. "I'm sure it's hard to process for them as well," Emily agreed with another nod. "It is a great opportunity, as you said, and I'm glad they recognize that. How about your friends? Are they taking it well? Nervous? Excited?" she asked next, her smile still gentle and inviting.

Anna nodded, agreeing with Emily. Then she grinned when her friends were brought up. She wasn't going to need to pretend here. She thought about Andy, Irina and Lily, among with all of her other friends. She had no idea how many people came up to her, telling her that she would do great and they were rooting for her. When it came to support from friends, Anna had plenty of it. "I have the best friends. They're so supportive and excited for me and keep on telling me that I'll do great. With all my friends behind me, I feel like I can do this. I mean, I feel like it's natural to be a little nervous, but they're there to boost me up so I know it'll work out well." Anna wanted to mention Oscar here; she told him she would, but she didn't want to make it seem like he was ditching his school to help her. Maybe she should ask him how he wants to be mentioned so she wouldn't run the risk of saying something he wouldn't want said. Yeah, that was probably the safer option. "They're taking it great." She confirmed with a nod.

Emily grinned as Anna spoke about her friends and how confident she was that she could do this. "Well, that is great to here! Now, I understand it's extremely person and you don't have to answer, but I'm always curios to ask- do you have romantic relationship and how do they feel about it? If not or if you don't want to answer, go ahead and just tell me a little more about how you plan to prepare for the firs task," Emily wasn't one of those crazy reporters, but she knew that people who read the paper would care about that kind of stuff so it didn't hurt to ask.

Anna chuckled softly at the next question. Really, she should have expected it. She knew that Uncle Harry was given all sorts of grief during his time as champion because of relationships (whether they be real or not). But when it came to her experience, she hadn't even thought about this question, probably because she'd never had a reason to answer it before. Just like every other year at Hogwarts, Anna was single. Not bitter about the fact, but it was a fact. She'd never been in a relationship, other than one-sided crushes where nothing ever really happened. "I'm not in a romantic relationship," she said with a simple shrug and a smile. It wasn't like she had anything to hide. Everyone who knew her at all knew she was single. Also, she didn't want people to think she was hiding something, which is what they would probably think if she refused to answer and that was put in the paper. "But I feel like preparing for the first Task is similar to preparing for OWLs and NEWTs. I'm looking through all the notes I've taken during school, through all the books I've learned from and practicing whatever I can with whoever wants to help me." She grinned, "My friends are helping me a lot."

No romance. Well, that was kind of good news. It meant hat maybe the girl would have a break with the press in this tournament. Mostly likely they'd find something else, though.
She spoke about preparing being similar to preparing for her final tests and Em nodded, taking more notes as she went. "It's great that you have such a strong support team. Now, before we wrap up, is there anything else you'd like the public to know?" she smiled softly at the girl.

Anything else? Well, that was an open question and Anna wasn't exactly sure how to answer it. She gave a hesitant smile, "Just that I'm really excited for this opportunity and that it's going to be a blast!" Her normal enthusiasm came out towards the end and Anna couldn't help but hope that she didn't go too overboard. "Thanks for coming to talk with me, is there anything else you need?" she asked politely, remembering Uncle Harry and Madam Macmillan's advice about being polite. Even if she didn't remember that, she probably would have thanked Emily still. But at least it might help somewhat. Anna was still nervous about what would be printed about her, but she didn't show it, just kept a smile on her face.

Emily shook her head as the girl asked if she needed anything else. "No, that should do for present. I hope you have a wonderful day, and I wish you the best of luck." Emily stood and offered her hand to the girl one more time for a short handshake before gesturing to the door, excusing her, so that the next Champion could come in for their interview. She felt like she had everything she needed to write an initial report on this particular champion, it was going to be a good tournament, that much was clear!
