Early on an October morning. Orion was sitting on the couch in front of the fire, leaning his head back in order for his eyes to stare blankly at the ceiling. His hands were shaking his fists clenched atop his lap and his jaw tight. He didn't want to ever leave this spot, but he knew he would. He would never skip class, never. He wouldn't even skip a meal. Orion had a schedule, things had to happen a certain way. That was partly his OCD and partly his belief in maintaining control in all situations. Control in all situations.
He clenched his fists tighter and moved his head back to a straightforward position. Sniffling before lifting a hand to wipe his eye. One tear. That's all he'd allow. But now that a tear came out of one eye he needed one to come out of the other eye or it wouldn't be even. He bent forward, resting his fists on his knees and then his forehead on his fists. He breathed in sharply.

@orion there was no point in trying to sleep anymore. it wasn't going to happen and it seemed it was going to be one of those mornings for him. so he decided to get an early start. he had some homework he could do in the common room by the fire till more people decided to descend on the room. he grabbed his bag as he walked down the stairs, still in his pajama's from the night before, having not been bothered to change. he frowned when he saw someone bent over themselves on the couch and he dropped his bag and hurried over. when he got closer he saw it was leo, a seventh year. "leo? are you okay? are you sick?" he asked quickly as he rested his hand on his shoulder and he crouched down to look at him a bit better.

Orion looked up at the sound of a voice and saw Jayden Longbottom. He felt relieved that this was who it was. There were a lot worse people who could catch him like this. Most would just ignore it, though. The guy called him Leo, which made Orion cock his head to one side in confusion for a moment. He didn't mind it, oddly.
Jayden touched his shoulder and asked if he was sick, leaning down to look at him. "I think so," Orion said, swallowing hard, "I'll be fine. Just... it's my fault," he said slowly.

@orion "I think so, I'll be fine. Just... it's my fault," jay frowned and crouched down next to the couch orion sat on and he left his hand on his shoulder lightly. what was his fault? jay looked around the room to see if anything was wrong but he couldn't see anything that was out of place and orion didn't seem injured so unless something had happened to someone else he couldn't work it out. though jay had enough experience dealing with his sisters that he knew emotions didn't often make sense. "can you tell me what's your fault? maybe i can help" he offered the suggestion to orion.

Orion was grateful that Jayden was being so nice. He didn't think he deserved it right now. Orion frowned at him and shook his head, though, "I can't tell you but, I promise that no one is hurt or anything, though," he explained. He didn't want Jayden to think that anything was really wrong... at least in the way that Hogwarts had been plagued by this past year. He didn't want Jayden to really worry, even though Orion felt like his world had shattered. He smiled weakly at Jayden, "just stupid teenager stuff. How are you doing, though?"
