Aerick felt different whenever he was in his python form. As a human, he stood at just a smidge above six feet tall, and he had worked hard to build the body he now had, but as a snake, a python, it was a different sense of freedom. His body, flexible and smooth, could wrap around a person and squeeze them until they squealed. He had assumed when he became an Animagus that he would become a type of snake, but he hadn't let his hopes get up so high that it would be like this. It was why, when he had been recruited, his name had soon become 'the enforcer'; one signal from Elaine, just the nod of her head, and Aerick would be off to...convince someone the error of their ways. Most could be intimidated by his human form but some? Some just had to learn the hard way. Tonight, Elaine had summoned him to meet her for an important assignment. Aerick never knew who or what he'd be doing when she needed him, but he never failed to show up on time. Punctuality was something Elaine valued greatly. Tonight though was the Purifiers first meeting since school had started up again for the younger members; he wondered if the task Elaine was to set for him would make him late. Still, he dressed in all black; black jeans, a black t-shirt and a black leather jacket. He arrived at the meeting spot to see Elaine already there. "My lady," he said, inclining his head as a sign of respect. He straightened and remained silent; she would speak when she was ready, and Aerick was a man of few words. Elaine Lyra Dupree

Elaine hated to be kept waiting. Even a second, no, a millisecond past the scheduled meeting time, set her temper ablaze. She had never understood her obsession with punctuality, but being late for anything always annoyed her, especially now. There was much to do and prepare for with the Triwizard Tournament rapidly approaching. The kidnappings had resulted in a fiasco. The Rousseau girl had betrayed their cause and was promptly eliminated. But now Elaine watched each and every Purifier with eyes like a hawk. Her rats scurried through the walls of their homes and any other place they could invade, monitoring all possible activity. She could trust no one, even Desirae.
While her trust for her followers had waned, most of them still proved loyal. Aerick was one of them. He never failed to deliver on her orders. Sure, he had killed one or two victims accidentally, but Elaine didn't consider that failure. They would have been disposed of anyway, killed by her curse or Aerick's powerful reptilian body while they pleaded for their lives. Now, once again, Elaine had called upon Aerick for his services. He had proven to be one of the most loyal of the Purifiers, and Elaine felt her trust in him slowly rebuilding. Maybe she would tell him about Alastor. Maybe not.
When Aerick arrived, Elaine offered him a small half smile. "Aerick," she replied, nodding curtly. "I'm glad you could make it." Not that he had much of a choice. Elaine daintily held out two photographs. Pictured on the first was a smiling young woman. The second was of the woman's family. "I need you to find this woman. She works for the Ministry, in the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Rumor has it that she's one of the main coordinators for the tournament. I want as much information as you can squeeze out of her." Elaine grinned at her own pun. "You know what to do if she refuses."

Aerick studied the photo of the brunette; she was close to his age and quite pretty. He glanced at her family; parents who must be Muggleborns as he’d never seen them before in his life, along with a brother. “Mudblood,” he stated, not really asking the question. As he looked at the picture a moment longer, a smirk formed. Ah yes, he knew who she was. “Incendio,” he said and watched as the pictures went up in flames. He simply could not be found in possession of a photo of the girl and her parents; it would raise too many questions. Naturally, Aerick could simply lie his way out of the situation, but it’d be easier this way. With his memory, the faces were engraved into his brain. “She has a boyfriend that one, but he bores her. You can see it the way she looks at him with disdain. She drinks a martini straight up two olives; once she’s three in she gets pretty chatty,” he recited, then gave Elaine a small smirk. “They’ve come in once or twice; I imagine the boyfriend is trying to salvage the relationship by ah...spicing things up a bit. I doubt it’s working. He gives me the impression of a sad wet dog,” he said with a wry chuckle. “I’ll run into her on the street tomorrow, invite her for a drink on my treat. I don’t think she’ll be too hard to squeeze out….though we know what can be done if it comes to that,” he said, inclining his head slightly at Elaine as a show of respect. Though the girl was several years younger than her, she had a commanding presence that demanded respect. Aerick was not stupid enough to question that. He leveled his gaze once more with hers. “I may have a new recruit that may be of interest to you,” he said, almost casually. He knew the rules; no mention of Elaine, the Purifiers or anyone else involved without going through her first. But rumors and whispers of their formation and purpose had already traveled the country; there were always bound to be some hopefuls. Madelina had shown to him that she would be a viable asset to the cause, but that decision was left up to Elaine. Elaine Lyra Dupree

As Aerick rattled off a list of details about the woman, Elaine smiled with satisfaction. Having both Aerick and Uriah working as bartenders meant that they knew everyone. And while she had never been extremely fond of alcohol herself, she knew others were. And alcohol made people talk. It was a weakness that Elaine was glad she had never succumbed to, though her secrets were dire enough that she doubted even copious amounts of booze would ever get her to spill them.
Elaine twirled a strand of hair around her fingers as she watched the photograph burst into flames. Her eyes were reflected in crackling red-orange tendrils, shades of murderous intent. It was really no inconvenience to her if Aerick killed them all regardless of what information she was "willing" to provide. Maybe she should mention that. But so many of the Purifiers has such fragile constitutions. She would wait and test the waters. The Purifiers would have to prove their loyalty above all time and time again before she would give them the satisfaction of her trust.
"Tell me," she said, her eyebrow raised with curiosity. New blood was always necessary, but it was also dangerous. And Elaine's patience was wearing thin. Any new recruits would be thoroughly tested in both constitution and willingness to perform. She would accept nothing less than perfection. Nothing.

Aerick studied Elaine’s face carefully; she probably didn’t care whether the girl lived or died, and her family even less. Aerick, however heartless he could appear to be, did not approve of killing for sport or unless absolutely necessary. The times that he had had been accidental, but he learned quickly how to close off the guilt. It was why he was so useful to Elaine; besides, the girl could prove useful if kept alive in case any last minute changes to the tournament happened to occur. He paused for a moment when Elaine spoke for him to continue on the recruit. “She is from the States, like me. Her name is Madelina Blackhawk, and whispers of your cause brought her to Club Indigo. She fears the Mudbloods, or as we call them back home NoMajs, as they play with powerful weapons of nuclear power. She fears they will overtake us with their weapons of mass destruction, and wants to help squash any threat of that happening.” He paused again, to let it set in. “She believes separate is best, and is disgusted by any ministry ideals of possibly integrating in Muggle society. I believe her to be telling the truth; but did not make any promises. She knew better to ask for details and I gave her none. Just that I would bring her an answer in a weeks time, starting yesterday.” He fell silent, his eyes never leaving Elaines’ dark ones as he waited for her judgement.
