Sim didn't worry about things like homework. It was all much to easy. So she didn't have to do it until just before. Which happened to be tonight. So she was sitting in the library, writing furiously. She looked up and saw River walking into the library. Her mind wandered away from her essay and landed on River. She wouldn't want to let him sit alone... "River!" she called with a small wave.

River was just slipping into the library for some peace and quiet when he saw Sim up ahead before she even called out to him. He hesitated. The last time they had seen each other they had managed to have a rather lengthy and... interesting snog session. First one River had ever had in his life. What was he supposed to say to her now?

Still, she saw him and called out his name so he walked over, sitting down across from her. "Hey, Sim. What's up?" What's up!?

Sim rolled her eyes at his charm. What's up.... seriously. They made out for at least half an hour the other day, then don't talk and all he says is "What's up?" Not that she was going to bring it up either. 'Though it wasn't as bad as I initially thought.' Maddox admitted. Sim couldn't stop the smirk that fell onto her lips. Of course it wasn't.

"Hey, River. Wanna go make out at the back of the library?" she teased, only half joking as she leaned forward on the table to rest her hand on his, her smirk spreading.

At Sims words, Rivers heart seemed to jump all the way into his throat. He nodded absentmindedly and then quickly shook his head. "Uh, Si-Sim uh," he cleared his throat and straightened up, looking down at their hands. "What are you studying?" he asked quickly, looking back up at her face, then to her lips, then to her face again.

His initial willingness caused her to rethink her joke, it would be fun to just take off to the back of the library and dissapear for a few... hours. But then he was shaking his head. Maddox was suspiciously quiet, plotting in the back of her mind.

"I was just joking, geeze, calm down, blush boy." she waved her hand to dismiss the rush of memories of the third floor corridor. "I'm just working on himework, feel free to join me in the durdgery of writing down information I am never going to need to know outside of these walls." she leaned back in her chair and spread her arms wide to gesture to the building around her.

He let out a nervous laugh and the breath he had been holding when she told him to calm down and called him 'blush boy'. That only made his cheeks more red, but that was okay. Then she mentioned that she was doing homework and he chuckled at her description of that. "Awe, come on. I'm sure you'll use it with all your crazy antics," figure of speech, of course. He didn't know it was true.

Sim gave him a flat look. "I'm going to pretend you didn't say that and go on with my life." she said. Maddox chuckled in the back of her mind. "Why are you so snippy? Is it because he is right? Why don't you tell him what we are Sim? Just tell him and get it over with." Shut up, Maddox. she snapped then turned her attention back to River. She studied him for a moment, sizing him up. "What do you dream about, River?" she asked, still looking at him. Why she wanted to know this, she wasn't sure. But it seemed important.

He couldnt help but smile at the flat look she gave him and raised an eyebrow at her comment. "Are you saying that you don't go on crazy antics?" he wasn't sure where this confidence was coming from, in all honesty. Made it was coming from his memory of the last time they saw each other, or maybe it was just because of the look on her face.

Then she asked him a strange question, one that he wasn't expecting. She asked what he dreamed about. He blinked, his smile vanishing. "What do you mean? Like... what do I want?" he asked softly, though he felt like he already knew what she meant. "I mean," he started before she could answer, "I just want to be happy. I guess."

His question was a valid one. However, it was not one she was going to answer honestly, perhaps vauge? "Wether I do or do not go on crazy antics is none of your business , River Flint." She said, pointing the end of her quill at him. Silly boy was going to get himself killed.

At her question, his smile disapeared. That was to be expected. It was kind of a strange and emotional subject for a lot of people.
"But what makes you happy? That is so general. I mean what if killing made you happy, would it be your dream to violently murder hundreds of people? Come on, be more specific." she tried to put a teasing tone into her voice, but it kind of came out condesending. "That would make me happy." Maddox smirked. Shut up.

River was a little taken aback at her saying that he antics were none of his business. He stayed quiet, trying not to laugh as his lips pursed shut. Then she wanted more detail on what made him happy and he was at a loss for words again for a moment. His smile didn't return as he contemplated. He took a deep breath, looking down at his hands, especially as she goaded him to be more specific. She kind of sounded like Vi for just a second there. The killing peopel part was a little creepy, but he knew people like that so it wasn't unheard of...

"I guess I just want to have a family," he said with a small shrug, sinking back into his chair a little, "that's it."
