Dom had his head down and he was scribbling a mile a minute. His writings weren't related to his incoming class. Well he taught Arithmancy so that made it sort of related to the class but his scribblings had everything to do with his book. He had caught a bit of a break and had worked his way through massive case of writer's block in order to discover more information to write in his book and how to tie it all together. He wasn't even close to being finished but a break was better than nothing. He still had plenty of research to go before the dust settled.
He wasn't paying even the slightest attention to the clock before he looked up and realized that a student had entered the classroom. He quickly shut his book and shuffled his papers a little, trying to clear off his desk. "Oh I apologize I didn't see you come in. Hello! We will get started as soon as the rest of the class shows," he stated with a smile and a firm nod. Luckily enough his lesson had been planned in full earlier or he'd show the students how terrible of a professor he actually was. Boy would that be a mess.
(Strict posting order. There will be a total of 3 posts from each of you, Your character showing up, your character doing the assignment, and your character leaving. I will be posting in between each round as well. Of course it is the usual three days to post and tag the next two characters in the line with their due dates. I would super appreciate it as well if you would check back after the second date you place and tag the next person if your second person does not arrive Also if there are characters added to the class list before my second post is done they will be added here. Have fun~)
Posting order: @river @hugo @isaac

River liked Arithmancy. It was all numbers and that just made sense to River. Moreso than anything else in his life did right now. So, he arrived early, sitting near the front and watched as the professor read his book. He didn't want to disturb him, so he stayed quiet. Professor Riveras was his Head of House as well, so River knew him well enough. he waited, though, for the Professor to look up and say hello. River nodded, "hello, Professor Riveras. It's no problem, I cam in quietly," he said with s soft smile. River was always quiet... at least, when he wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't. He turned toward the door as someone else started to enter.

Hugo enjoyed all of his classes and Arithmancy was no different. "Hello!" He greeted River and Professor Riveras at the same time as he entered the classroom. "How are you doing River?" he asked with an enthusiastic smile. He wasn't particularly sure why he was in such a happy mood today, but that didn't matter. He was normally in a good mood, so no one was going to question him on it. "What are we doing today?" Hugo asked curiously, looking around the room to see if there were any hints.

Dom had gone back to his writings, his nose practically dragging through the ink on the parchment. He hadn't noticed that the last of his students had arrived into the class, settling into their seats. It took one of the students coughing before he'd noticed how quiet the room had gotten. He looked up to see their expectant faces, his reddened in embarrassment. "A good day to all of you my wonderful Arithmancers.," he stood from his chair and walked to the front of his desk, scratching his chin nervously. "Today's class is going to be pretty straight forward. In continuing with your getting used to seeing and understanding words as numbers, you will all be translating some words for me," with a wave of his wand, the assignment appeared on the desks of all of the sixth year students in front of him. "Using the Agrippa chart and the instructions provided, you'll be translating common and not so common spells into numbers and you'll be turning some numbers into spells. I expect great things from you all. Good luck!" He could remember the first time he learned the Agrippan translation method. It was the easiest of all because it was the English method so it shouldn't be too hard for his students.
(This assignment has two parts. For both parts you character will be using the Agrippan Chart here to translate the following spells into their base numbers; Incendio, Lumos, Muffiliato, Protego, Quietus. By base numbers I mean If 12+12=24 you will reduce 24 to 2+4=6. The second part of the assignment is a bit trickier. Your student will be turning the following numbers into common spells using the same chart; 566, 13396, 173145529, 957196, 136864691. The numbers are as is take each number and connect it with a letter to come out with the spell. Good Luck~ I have the answers too so message my member account if you want them. )
No posting order this round just post your post of your character doing the assignment. You have until January 10th to make your post!

River looked at the assignment and got to work. He started with the second part, because that made more sense to him. Tranlating the numbers into spells. It mostly took memorization and guessing to figure them out at first, then he'd go back and double check is work. He wrote:
'566= Nox 13396= Accio 173145529= Aduamenti 957196= Reparo 136864691= Alohomora'
Then he went to the other part. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to go all the way down to the base numbers, but he did that anyway with his other work written on the sides. His answers were as follows:
'Incendio=10 Lumos- 8 Muffliato- 10 Protego- 6 Quietus - 4'
When he was finished he double checked his work, looked back, looked up at the board, but sat still, not wanting to be the first one to show they were done...
@dominick (no idea if I did the first section (second on Rivers post) right XD)

As the students got to work, he went back around to his own desk to pick back up on his work. He scribbled away. Carry the 3, add the 5, no subtract the 2. he went completely off in his head, diving deep into his work. He tried to make this time a little different though and found himself looking up at the students and then the clock once or twice to see if they had finished with the work. It was a little while later and another breakthrough in his work when he looked up and realized that most students had finished there work and were looking up at him expectantly. He cleared his throat before standing up once again and walking to the front of his desk.
"Great job everyone. Now here are the answers. It's good to see you all getting better at this. I can't wait to see what you do next," he turned towards the board and waved his wand. The answers revealed themselves to the students. "Now it is a little early but we are done for the day. I look forward to seeing all of you for the next class. Have a wonderful. Oh and there isn't any homework tonight so enjoy," he called out the last part just as a few students ran out of the door. It didn't seem like they cared whether there was homework or not anyway but he hoped they knew.
(Answers to part 1: Incendio = 1 Lumos = 8 Muffiliato = 4 Protego = 6 Quietus = 4
Answers to part 2: 566 = Nox 13396= Accio 173145529= Aguamenti 957196= Reparo 136864691= Alohomora)
