@mathieu <3 Daryl was working on some art projects that he needed to get done, and he figured the Black Lake was the easiest spot to do so. It was a beautiful place, if you thought about it, and it also gave him different images he could paint or draw if he felt like it. Daryl had brought his bag with him, his sketch pad, charcoal pencils and colored pencils. He mostly enjoyed just his charcoal, but if necessary he'd add a few color in here and there.
He sat down on a bench in front of the lake, and he noticed the bit of sunlight. It was a beautiful sight, especially with the Durmstrang ship out in the distance. Daryl sat back, his charcoal pencil in his left hand, and he began drawing the bigger parts of the lake and ship. He continued, not noticing if anyone was around or walked by. His eyes were on everything in front of him, making sure he didn't miss a single thing.

Matty was out and about on the grounds. Walking around and thinking to himself wasn't something that Mathieu normally did, but considering the circumstances, he felt he had plenty of reason to do so now. Elaine had threatened Sophia. She had threatened to hurt her, and Matty had every reason to believe that that wasn't limited to killing her. So, he was a little worried. And stressed. And angry. He needed time to think. All this on top of the tournament and his classes, it was beginning to be a lot. So, Matty just felt a little walk down to the lake would do him some good.
As the Slytherin neared the Black Lake, he could see the back of a familiar head sitting upon a bench near the water's edge. Matty got closer and closer, and as he did, he saw that the front of the head was looking down at a sketchpad and some art supplies. A grin spread across Matty's face as he realized who it was on the bench. Matty swung his legs over the back of the bench and plopped himself down next to his friend Daryl. "You know, I've always secretly envied your artistic abilties," he mused.

@mathieu <3 The footsteps behind him were not heard. Not when he was in such a bubble of his art. Daryl tended to just shut everything else out when drawing or painting, and this was one of those times. Especially when he was painting subjects of Hogwarts. He tried to make them as best he could, not only because he loved them, but because Daryl usually owl'd them back to his father, Dean. Daryl knew how much his dad missed Hogwarts, and he liked to send him things that made him remember certain events and memories.
So, when Matty had spoken and thrown his legs over the bench next to Daryl, he didn't realize for a few seconds. Daryl finished the last few touches on the Durmstrang boat before he finally noticed his good friend, and he turned with a big grin on his face. "Hey, kid. You don't have to secretly envy it, you can just outwardly envy it if you'd like." Daryl laughed and set down the paint brush. "How've you been? Why you out here?"
