Dearest Mum,How are you? Is work going well? And how's dad? I miss you both, terribly. Are we coming back home for the Holiday or will we be staying here at Hogwarts? Everything's going well here, I obviously didn't get chosen as Hogwarts Champion, but Anna did! We're all so proud of her and excited. She's doing great so far, the first task was a little nerve-wracking, but I'm sure you know this already.
I sent a drawing for you and dad, it's not great, but I figured you'd enjoy it. It's just Hogwarts, well, The Great Hall, really, all decorated for Halloween. It was a great night and we had an even better party. But don't worry, nothing bad happened! I miss you!
Love, Daryl @padma

[googlefont="Nothing You Could Do:400"] Dear Daryl, I've been well, and your dad has been too. Work has been busy of late, for obvious reasons, but it's going well. I had hoped to see you at the First Task, but there was a lot else going on. I'm quite glad you weren't the champion - it was difficult enough to watch without you being in there too! Anna did brilliantly - but you mustn't tell anyone I said that, I'm supposed to be impartial! If you'd like to come home for Christmas, we'd of course love to have you, but with the Yule Ball I was expecting you and your sister would rather stay at school. It's a once in a lifetime experience. Your dad and I will be there for the Ball as well, so you'll have the chance to see us regardless. The drawing is lovely. It looks like it was an excellent night. I've tucked it away for safe keeping. Stay safe and all my love, Mum [[On the bottom of the parchment is a picture of their house, and it's pretty obvious wasn't Padma's doing.]] @jill16

Dearest Mum,I had hoped to see you as well, but the crowds were so large you could hardly move through anyone to even leave! I'm sorry I didn't have the time to find the two of you, it really would've been nice. I'm actually glad I wasn't the champion, too...I couldn't imagine doing the things those three champions did. Anna did fantastic, I'm amazed at her! Don't worry, my lips are sealed.
We would both love to stay for the Yule Ball, yes. I'm glad I know how to dance, that was very helpful as a child, mum. Many people are worried about that right now. We're both glad we'll be able to see the two of you, and I'll even save you a dance!
Love, Daryl @padma

[googlefont="Nothing You Could Do:400"] Dear Daryl, Yes, it really was shocking - manticores and acromantulas! - not to mention the more psychological threats, which I’m sure were worse. I don’t remember the maze in my year being so bad, although I think our line of sight was poorer then. Or maybe that’s just the rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia. I’m glad you’re not too disappointed about not competing - there’s so many other things about the Tournament than just the events. And I’m not just saying that because International Magical Cooperation is my department - meeting the other students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang was a highlight of the event for me, and I know a lot of the other students. You know, you should ask one of the Beauxbatons girls to the Yule Ball - I’m sure that most Hogwarts boys won’t match up to their dancing standards. Although I’m sure you won’t disappoint your date on that front whichever school they’re from, unlike some Hogwarts boys I could name. I’m glad that you appreciate it now - you didn’t always back then!

Dearest Mum,I'm glad the three of them are safe and sound, and are being taken care of. The Durmstrang Champion seemed to get the worst of it, and he even ended up in third place! I feel a bit bad about that; that must not have been the greatest feeling in the world, you know?
I may ask one of them, I'm not sure yet. I do want to make sure I have some sort of connection with the person I'm asking, though. I've met a few girls here and there from both visiting schools. Although, there are a few girls here that have caught my eye.
Love, Daryl @padma

[googlefont="Nothing You Could Do:400"] Dear Daryl, I’m sure it wasn’t a very nice feeling to come in last, but it sounds as if he’s alright, which is good news. It was very difficult to watch, certainly. Well, whomever you invite, from whichever school, I’m sure they’ll have a lovely time. So long as they don’t mind that your mother is holding you to that dance. And on that note, do you need anything from home before the Ball? @jill16

Dearest Mum,I hope they have a good time! I'm excited for it to happen, parties are always great. And I get to see you and dad, what could be any better than that? I don't believe I need anything from home, no, thanks mum.
Jasmin's doing well as well, incase you were curious. I'm sure she's also excited for the ball, I haven't spoken to her about it though, I probably should. Make sure she isn't going with some fool. Love you!

Dearest Mum,Happy Christmas! I can't wait to see you and dad tonight, and I know Jasmin is just as excited to see the both of you as well. The watercolors are magnificent, I'll make sure my first painting is for you.
My birthday gift is amazing, mum. I ran out of charcoal a few weeks ago and I've been meaning to get some. I can't wait to use them! And you are quite funny, but I would've loved the coal for Christmas just as much as my birthday! I'll always be your baby boy, that will never change.
P.S. I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas so far.
Love, Daryl A birthstone ring is attached for her Christmas gift here@padma
