Susan smiled a little as Dom took the diadem and declared her intention to place hers on Rowena’s head. “I think if the Grey Lady ever finds out she’d be fine with the idea of being crowned,” she said teasingly. She cleared her throat and held the diadem over the snow-womans head. “By the power vested in me, by me, I crown you Helena, Crown Princess of Ravenclaw,” she declared, mock-seriously. She’d only been to one coronation and she had been rather young, maybe five years old. She had remembered having trouble sitting still for so long; the coronation process seemed long for a small child, but looking back it hadn’t been long at all. All for the best though - she couldn’t imagine the nerves surging through the monarch during their coronation. There were only a few short sentences they had to repeat back, but what if you messed up? Susan was glad her brother was in front of her to inherit the throne; he’d never mess up his lines should it ever come to that.
Susan finished setting the tiara on snow Helena’s head, only to turn and receive a face full of snow! “Hey!” she exclaimed indignantly, then grinned. Well two could play this game. She scooped up a pile of snow in her mittens and ran in a beeline towards Dominique, flinging the snow at her friend as fast as she could.

Dom laughed at her friend's joke, then tried to stifle her laughter when Susan cleared her throat and began a speech. This was perfect. "Umm, sorry to interrupt," she couldn't help but tease, "But since when was the power vested in you and by whom? And why didn't I get any?" Dom couldn't stop herself from giggling now. She knew it was ridiculous, but she was having fun being ridiculous with Susan. Which was especially fun because it wasn't common. Doing something like this with Lily would be normal, but she and Susan didn't do things together all that often.
Dom squealed when Susan tossed some snow her way. Even though she was running away, it hit her and it was cold. But that was part of the fun. Dom grabbed some more snow and lobbed it back at her friend. 'I thought you didn't want a snowball fight," she teased, even though she'd started it. Susan had continued instead of letting it go. Success!

Susan laughed as Dom engaged in the snowball fight; she wasn’t a huge advocate of fighting, even with just snow, unless the timing was right. And boy was the timing right then and now! “I am royalty Dom, I always have the power vested in me,” she called teasingly. Sure several people including her beloved brother Will had to die for her to get to the throne but it wasn't completely impossible. Susan wasn't sure she'd make a good queen though; she had to make a speech at the Ambassadors' Ball and she was already terrified of that!
"I don't hear you yielding!" Susan teased, throwing more snow at her friend. She was more relentless this time; grabbing handfuls of snow and tossing them towards the Weasley girl. Her face was brightly pink from the cold and she was breathless from the adrenaline pumping through her veins. "Do you yield Weasley?" she called with a wide grin.

Susan started talking about how she was royalty as she threw snowballs at Dom, who was laughing continuously as she threw her own snowballs at the girl. "Oh really? And how is that power helping you right now?" Dom teased back. She was having so much fun with this and wasn't about to stop.
Then Susan started talking about Dom yielding and, though Dom was still throwing snow at her friend, her expression grew slightly more serious, her eyebrows raising at the challenge. "I never yield," she called, her grin turning completely mischievous. Susan probably wasn't going to like what happened now ... but she totally asked for it.
Dom threw two snowballs and then started charging her friend, raising her arm so it was blocking her face from any snowballs coming her way. She aimed straight for Susan, her goal to push her friend over in the snow and tackle her until Susan yielded. Because now that was somehow a part of the game. At least it would keep things interesting.

“It helps with more submissive subjects!” Susan exclaimed, laughing the entire time. She did not expect Dominique to submit just because she was royal though; that was what Susan loved about all of her friends. She did not want or insist on any special treatment just because of who her parents were. Not that it even mattered in the Wizarding community; when Susan had first arrived her attitude had been very different. Thankfully now she was happy to be just Susan.
Susan squealed as Dom charged her and tackled her to the ground. “I will not yield!” she called, grabbing handfuls of snow and rubbing them into the strawberry blonde hair of her friend. She sounded like a knight commanding an army during the Medieval times of the English monarchy; the thought of it made her laugh even harder. @dominique

Dom laughed at Susan's comment, "I think you'll find that I definitely do not qualify as a submissive anything!" She couldn't help it, Dom was very competitive, especially when it came to playing around. She was definitely not going to yield to someone just because they were royalty. Susan knew that. Which was what made this conversation so much fun. Both of them knew that the other wasn't serious at all. "Yes you will!" Dom retorted, rolling on the ground with her friend and pushing as much snow at her as she possibly could. "Do you yield yet?" She asked, not relenting at all. Both of them were covered with snow and Dom was pretty sure that sooner or later Susan was going to get tired of this and realize that Dom could do it for hours. There really would be no competition in this battle. Dom was the only possible victor. @susanvictoria (ooc: Sorry, Dom took over ... apparently she doesn't want to lose at all)

Susan had of course forgotten how competitive Dominique was; she supposed she should have given she was a Weasley and the daughter of a former Triwizard Champion to boot. "Alright...alright!" she shrieked, completely breathless from the exhileration and laughter coming from the intense snow fight. She couldn't exactly call it a snowball fight either; at this stage they were shoving heaps of snow in each others faces without bothering to form it into a snowball. "I yield you crazy girl," she said teasingly, admitting defeat. She laid back in the snow and exhaled deeply, closing her eyes. She moved her legs and arms, making a snowangel before just lying there for a few minutes, catching her breath.
Soon Susan sat up, shaking her long curly hair to get some of the snow out of it. "It's starting to get dark; shall we head back in and grab some cocoa?" she suggested to her friend with a wide grin.

Dom laughed, finally releasing Susan when she gave in. "I told you that I'd win," she said with a teasing wink, ready for any retaliation that might come, but it really did seem like Susan was done. She sighed and looked over at their snowgirls with pride. They probably wouldn't be there tomorrow, due to the fact that immature boys were still found in the school and they liked to be destructive, but Dom still liked what they'd done. She looked over to see Susan making a snow-angel and threw herself back into the snow, following her friend's lead. This was the life; being outside and having fun and just living. It was the kind of fun that Dom searched for in her life. She laid there in the snow for a while, not bothering to talk until Susan sat up and asked if Dom wanted to go in and get some cocoa. She sat up, bounding to her feet and extending a hand to help her friend up. "Of course! Who would ever say no to cocoa?" She asked with a smile. Then the two walked up to the castle, Dom talking and giggling much of the way. ---end--- @susanvictoria
