Dom smiled and shrugged at Olivia's comment about getting away from brothers. She only had one brother and she adored him, so that wasn't a problem. She could try and compare brothers with cousins, but Dom also tended to get along with the boys better than the girls either way, so that wasn't a good comparison either. "Girl time is always fun," she commented after a few seconds. And it was. She loved the times she'd spent with Vic and Lily and others of her cousins and mother. It was always enjoyable, so why wouldn't Olivia's sister enjoy it? Dom nodded vigorously when Olivia asked about her shopping. "Yes. I generally finish mine sometime in the summer. It's not so much about being prepared, more that I don't have the control to not get something when I see what I think is the perfect gift for someone. I'm impulsive that way," she answered with a shrug. Anyone that knew Dom well would agree with that comment and she doubted anyone would be surprised by it either. She looked around. "You want to take a break and get some hot chocolate or a butterbeer?" she asked. Dom wasn't cold, but she loved both drinks and wouldn't mind sitting down for a few minutes.

@dominique <3 Olivia agreed. Growing up with two brothers she definitely had a lot of different hobbies, and a different personality. A lot of girls enjoyed dresses and dances and giggling, Olivia was more...tom boyish. She almost always wore jeans or leggings, and hated skirts and dresses. But spending time with her sister would be a lot of fun. "Impulsive can be good though! Especially when it comes to gifts." Dominique asked if she wanted to get a drink, and she nodded. "Yes! I'd love a hot chocolate, let's go!" Olivia smiled and exited the store, watching Dom follow her.

Dom giggled when Olivia said that being impulsive could be a good thing. That was the way she was, whether it was a good thing or not. Dom had too much fun doing things the way she wanted, when she wanted and she knew herself well enough to know that that wasn't going to change any time soon. "Well I'm glad you think so. It hasn't steered me wrong yet," she said with a smile. "Sweet!" Dom gushed, rushing out of the store and heading over to the small tea shop. She could go to the Three Broomsticks, but she liked the hot chocolate here a lot more. "Two hot chocolates please," she said to the woman in charge as they entered, winking at the lady. Dom had pretty good relationships with most of the shop owners in Hogsmeade and this lady was no exception. She sat down at a table and just a minute later, a waiter was giving them hot chocolate, "Thank you," Dom said with a cheery wave before turning her attention back to Olivia. "So ... how's your year been?" She asked curiously.

@dominique <3 "I'm sure it hasn't!" She laughed as they ended up at a tea shop down the road from the store they had just left. Dominique had taken the option to order the hot chocolates and Olivia followed her over to a table and sat don across from her. Within only a few minutes the hot chocolate had been brought over by the waiter and Olivia thanked him, smiling brightly. "My year? It's been pretty good, so far. Just trying to keep my grades up and all that jazz before e really get into our future careers. I've met a few new people to, which is exciting. How about you?"

Dom laughed when Olivia agreed that her impulsive Christmas gift-buying hadn't given her any problems yet. Really, it hadn't though and Dom always appreciated being able to avoid large crowds and long lines. She liked to buy her presents under less stressed circumstances. Dom shrugged, "It's been fine for me. I still don't really know what I want to do with my life. I think I'll probably have to figure that out some time after I graduate, but that's fine. I'm not in any rush. Other than that, it's been fun! What with the tournament and the Ball coming up. Are you going with anyone?" Honestly the Yule Ball wasn't Dom's favorite topic of conversation, mostly because everyone was talking about it, but it was something to talk about, so she might as well mention it.

@dominique <3 "Of course! No rush. Many people take breaks after Hogwarts, even figure it out many years later. I personally would love to be the Department of Mysteries Head, but I have a very long time before I can do that, so I've got to figure some things out." She laughed. Olivia knew getting some job in the Ministry to start would benefit her, but the only thing she could think of was most likely Cursebreaking or Auror in Training. She had a lot to think about, but at Christmas time she wasn't having those thoughts. "I am yes! Lance Linley? He's a Hufflepuff. We're going as friends. Neither of us had anyone to go with, so we just made the decision a few days ago."

Dom smiled as the girl explained what she wanted to do, saying that it wasn't a big deal that Dom didn't know herself. "Well good luck with that. I'm sure you'll be able to get there." Really, Dom had a strong belief that anyone could do anything they wanted to, as long as they wanted it enough. The only problem was when someone didn't know what they wanted to do. Still, Dom wasn't too worried. She'd figure it out. She grinned when Olivia started talking at the Yule Ball. "Well that's great! I'm going with my friend Ranger Lloyd. I think going with friends to these things are the best. That way there isn't drama, it's just a lot of fun." Maybe that was thinking things over too much, but Dom was a Ravenclaw, so that wasn't a bad thing.

@dominique <3 Olivia laughed. "I hope so, but I will definitely need the luck." She was a Ravenclaw, and incredibly intelligent. Olivia could juggle many things at once, which was a good trait for someone to have that wanted to have such an important job. But there were times where she struggled, just like any other human being would. A stressful career like that would take a toll on her body, so she had a lot to think about. "Oh of course! I had just planned going alone, but I met Lance the other day and he's a fun guy, I'm sure the night will be great too." Olivia smiled. Relationships were too much, especially when everyone had so much to concentrate on now.

Dom rolled her eyes good-naturedly when Olivia said she needed luck. "Olivia. We're Ravenclaws. We know how to work hard and learn what we need to in order to succeed. You'll do just fine." Hmm. So that might not have been what Olivia expected or wanted, but Dom wasn't particularly good at coddling people. She just told them what she thought and that was that. Dom grinned. "Well if I see you there, I'll probably stop to say hi or something," Dom said as she finished the last of her drink. "Well, I think I should get going now. It was nice to talk to you Olivia! See you later!" Dom called as she bounced out of the room, on to find someone else to talk to. @jill15 (OOC: you can add one more or this can be the end.)
