PERSONALITY For everything Elaine has done and planned to do, she honestly and truly believes what she does is right. She passionately believes that the pureblooded wizards of the world belong at the head of the food chain, celebrated and feasted like royalty, with the rest of the word bowing to their power. Of course, Elaine quite vainly believes herself to be the saving grace for the wizarding world - the messiah, the one queen to rule them all, for there can only be one ruler. And Elaine is willing to make plenty of sacrifices to see her dream come true. Elaine holds no remorse for anything; she is ruthless in her schemes but calculating in their execution. She does not see people as living, emotional beings but as a means to an end, a vessel to be used for her own benefit. The only exception to this is Desirae Rousseau; she is the only person Elaine ever considered as somewhat of a friend. She wants to know what someone can do for her, and how in the first five seconds of conversation, otherwise she will deem you useless -- you do NOT want Elaine to find you usesless. She uses methods to get what she wants that only very few have dared to study to torture, manipulate and deceive. Having gone into hiding, Elaine has had more time on her hands to read, study and learn things that Hogwarts professors would never dare teach their students. She will tell you the second you become useless to her she will kill you, and one can never say Elaine would go back on that kind of promise. Since the death of Desirae, Elaine has grown aware that there was a traitor in her midst; there is no other explanation in her mind. She is more alert, calculating and cautious than ever - she does not fully trust any one, even those who continuously swear their undying loyalty to her. She knows she needs trusted allies, and recently has discovered a new form of torture -- brainwashing. it is said that her birth caused her mother so much pain and agony it rendered her sterile. she grew up wanting for nothing, all the best food, the best clothes, a large canopy bed piled high with pillows. house elves to do her bidding without question. elaine's manor housed a huge library, filled with books describing the bloodlines of wizards going back generations. elaine became well versed in these family names, as well as the history of the wizarding wars of years past. both grindlewald and voldemort held a rather...unhealthy fascination for elaine; she would sneak books detailing their pasts under her nightshirt and read it late into the night. by the time she reached hogwarts, there was only one house that she would allow herself to be sorted in; she had heard of course that the sorting hat took ones' wishes into account, but she would force the hat to put her into slytherin. fortunately for it, the moment the hat touched her head it shouted 'slytherin' for the hall to hear. at school, elaine was studious, always wanting to learn more about the different kinds of magic. she surrounded herself with other purebloods, becoming close with desirae rousseau in particular. but elaine grew restless as the years passed; tired of hearing how the wizarding world should accept muggles and muggleborns as their comrades, their equals. elaine retched at the idea; she would never accept anyone else as equal to her. so she began to plot and plan, and soon a scheme began to form, one that would shake hogwarts to its very core. april first, 2023. the day of the kidnappings. she had planned since the summer before for this day. two deaths of muggleborns had happened before the school year had taken off and she had entrapped the mudblood ethan johnson in an unbreakable vow; he knew of what she had done, but if he told a soul he would die. her band of renegades raided the castle, fighting the students who at first believed that this was some kind of prank for april fools day - how wrong they were. the students of the purist blood, along with some who just refused to let go. by the end of the battle, ethan johnson was dead having finally served his purpose, and elaine revealed her true colors. she escaped the castle alongside desirae rousseau; they had no further use of the classroom, and went into hiding. her parents lost their jobs of course when it was discovered who elaine really was, but she had transferred the majority of her parents' fortune to a secret vault that only she knew the whereabouts of; she would never go wanton for anything. once hogwarts was behind her, she went to the mastermind behind the purifiers - alastor draven, ready to learn from him, to gain more knowledge and power to make her plans a reality. it was alastor that taught elaine how to skillfully use magic without a wand, and it was this power that allowed elaine to place draven under the imperius curse, the student becoming the master. with full command of the purifiers, elaine learned of the triwizard tournament and began to calculate how to best use this to her advantage. these things couldn't be tackled head on after all; she lamented how late into the tournament plans she had found out about it. so she set one of her followers a task; find someone in the ministry who she could use as an insider. aerick brought her such a man; nathaniel reed of the department of magical transportation. before she could strike though, a devastating blow struck the heart of elaine herself. desirae rousseau was dead, killed by two aurors who clearly did not recognize just who they were waging war upon. it was her own fault; she had not fully shown what she was capable of that pitiful aurors thought they could kill her second in command and get away with it. elaine learned that in order to get things done, she had to do them herself. she had nate collect intel on a woman in the department of international magical cooperation, not someone so high up that she was well known, but important enough that she was involved with triwizard tournament. elaine knew that this woman would change the tides, and that her devotion and loyalty to her must be unyielding. so she tried this technique on a meek serving girl anise. the root of the mandrake was said to be used to torture a person into believing something that in their right mind would never have relented, and put their mind completely in the hands of the torturer. elaine was pleased to discover that after three days, anine was completely submissive; believing elaine to have saved her from the torturer. and so, the ministry worker, isolde blackwell, was kidnapped by her most trusted lackeys, and the mandrake root torture was performed on her as well. with two women of vastly different backgrounds, professions and physical appearances, elaine could leave her hiding spot under the disguise of two very different people. all she has to do is tell them to stay home for the day, and there they stay without question. with the everything that has happened the past few months, elaine grew wiser and knew to tread carefully; there couldbe no trace evidence in her involvement, wherabouts or anything involving the purifiers. her quiet has created a sense of unease in the wizarding world, growing paranoid that she might strike at any moment. and strike she did; her first move was to send one of her slaves, disguised in her likeness, to the ministry, where she struggled against the guards, who promptly killed her. now that the world thought her dead, elaine's next step came to fruition - at the quidditch cup final, held in england, an explosion rocked the ministry box, killing that mudblood minister granger and many of her cronies. in her stead they elected viktor krum, but elaine did not fear him; as a foreigner he would be held with almost as much contempt as her. instead she turned to her next task - procuring a dragon egg so she could hatch her own fearsome beast and wreak havoc on the world. and she almost had it. her egg was procured and hatched, and her welsh green was developing beautifully. then, she was betrayed. elaine had her suspicions as to WHO betrayed her, but did not know for certain. she knew she was to meet her end sooner rather than later, and decided if she was going, she'd take as many as she could with her. so she laced the hogwarts dinner with a paralyzing potion, and set fiendfyre loose in the chamber of secrets, wreaking havoc and destroying the castle. her dragon escaped, but elaine did not. now she is gone, but forgotten? far from it.
