@echo Liberating. That was virtually the only word Charlie had for every trip he made to Romania. The majority of his adult life had been spent here when he wasn’t at home with the family, and even so before that. In one way, Romania was him home. The open fields they had control over to house the dragons there were freeing. The only noise that wasn’t from nature usually emanated from spells, roars, or yells from his coworkers, and even then it was peaceful. It was liberating not in the sense that he had escaped the chains of his family, but from the city. Kind of brought him back to growing up in the countryside, his mother’s relentlessness of keeping an organized family only replaced by dragons. If Romania had been an escape from home and family, then he wouldn’t have brought Harper along with him to train. She was off somewhere now with the other dragonologists, most likely learning behavioral ticks that different breeds exhibited. What was one dragon’s signal for hunger was another dragon’s mating call. Funny how they were each as unique as the next, just like humans were. The average person was just starting to understand that though, the amount of research they had been making public over the last few years had definitely had the effect he had been hoping for. Except not everyone understood that fully, and things like smuggling still existed, if not worse than it was before. Charlie had his hands full with that and Romania, but things were starting to ease up now that they had more hands. He was hoping that a ministry official was going to get here at some point today, because he really wanted to be out in the field to observe how Harper was learning. [OOC: just knock and enter his office or something like that]

alex carried the bag in his hand carefully toward charlie weasley's office. inside it was a dragon egg, taken from a wizard back in england the day before. since alex had already been headed this way he'd figured it was just as easy to bring it back to where it belonged himself, save someone else the journey or save charlie sending someone to collect it. he lifted his hand to the door and knocked twice before turning the handle to step into the room. "charlie." he said in greeting as the door closed behind him and he walked across to the desk his old friend was sitting at. he moved to sit in one of the chairs at the desk and he sat down, lifting the bag carefully. "this is what happens when you become the boss. you get regulated to courier duty." he said with an easy smile as he put his hand into the bag to pull out the egg carefully. "have your baby back." he said as he sat it down on the bag as carefully as he could. he knew they were tough eggs but he didn't want to risk it. he didn't want the death of a dragon on his hand. he often felt a stronger disdain to the people who stole dragon eggs. well who stole any sort of egg for profit. often the animals hatched, if they made it that far, were subjected to being part of potions or spells or rituals and it angered him.

@echo A knock on his office door. That usually went one of two ways; a dragon had just snatched someone up, or he had a visitor. Considering that it wasn’t a hurried knock, Charlie was hoping it was the latter. The door opened, and Alex Abbott stepped in. He wasn’t exactly an uncommon face as of late, seeing as Charlie had been aiding in the catching and extraction of black-market dragons in London lately. He never would have guessed that his career of studying and learning about the beasts would eventually turn into one where he was expected to chase down eggs and baby dragons like they were lost puppies. A thrilling new lifestyle of course, and it did mean he could be at home with Natalie more, but he did miss his dragons in Romania dearly. They probably would reciprocate the feelings with a burst of flames or try to take a limb off. That didn’t diminish his feelings for them in the slightest though. So having Alex Abbot stepping into his office in Romania was quite a different take on how business had been lately. Especially with the addition of a bag of sorts.
“I’ll agree with you on that one. There was a reason that I got picked to go back to London and chase the little ones down.” Not technically true since he had offered himself up for the job, seeing that it was quite an entertaining one and he needed to be there for when Harper got home. Watching Alex reach into the bag, Charlie understood what this was about. They got another egg. Taking it carefully from his coworker, Charlie rolled it around in his hands to see if everything was intact still. While extremely difficult to crack a dragon egg, it wasn’t impossible and had happened on more than one occasion. Usually that meant something was wrong to begin with and there wasn’t a way to avoid it, but mistakes did happen still. “Ah look at this one. Hungarian Horntail by the look of it. Lucky this one didn’t hatch in the city. Would have been a mess.” Horntails grew fast, and in the wrong places could wreak havoc in seconds flat. “Egg dealers again I assume? Clearly they didn’t know Horntails are almost impossible to kill. Wouldn’t have gotten them what they needed at all.” In a way, this little one was lucky.

“Ah look at this one. Hungarian Horntail by the look of it. Lucky this one didn’t hatch in the city. Would have been a mess.” he was glad they'd caught in before it had been sold, the last thing they needed was a horntail loose in any part of populated england. it would be a disaster for both muggle and wizarding worlds considering it wasn't easy to contain one. "yeah, as much as i like excitement, having to deal with a dragon isn't on the top of my bucket list." he said with a smile as he rested back in the seat he was sitting in now charlie had the egg and he didn't have to worry about breaking it. “Egg dealers again I assume? Clearly they didn’t know Horntails are almost impossible to kill. Wouldn’t have gotten them what they needed at all.” he nodded. "i don't think he had much experience, we nabbed him pretty quickly." he wasn't sure if that was a good thing of a bad thing. good they'd found the dragon but bad people seemed to be turning to the craft, they were trying to get the numbers of smugglers down but there were times it felt like a loosing battle. "could only imagine what the dragon would have done to him."
