Madison was having a free period at that time and decided to make good use of her time. She thanked Merlin that they had been given the option to drop off a few subjects after their OWL exams, and she gladly dropped some off, divination being one of them. So when her cousin, who was taking her newts in divination has asked her help in regards to it, she promised to help her out and now that she accepted it, Madison couldn't find a way out of it. She simply decided to go to a secluded place and try to understand the topic so that she can assist Calli. So grabbing the library book in her hand the gryff roamed around in search of a a cozy place seeing as the library was rather full that day and bustling with activity.
Madison reached the fifth floor in her search and was granted her solace even though there were two others seated there. Well two were better than having to deal with hyped up first year students who were in the fourth floor. She shifted the book between her hands as she went towards them and noiselessly settled down in one of the couch. Madison has to give it to the people who decided to add couches in a corridor, as it was quite weird and great at the same time. Weird, as they have to deal with the students who pass by them to reach their classes and, great because one the classes start the corridors are very quiet and best places to study. Madison opened the book in front of her and flipped open to read upon the tarot cards which was the topic she had to help Calli with. And godric did she hope that the other two girls are one of those who wouldn't bother her but only time would tell. And she did not want to get herself involved in between two other people.

Irina was quietly reading in the Fifth Floor lounge area; she didnt have a class just then, and yet Gryffindor Common Room seemed to be filled to the brim with people, mostly first years. Not that eleven year olds bothered her much, but they were rather loud and rambunctious to a point where she could barely hear herself think. So gathering up her parchment and her copy of Standard Book of Spells Grade Seven, Irina headed down a few flights of stairs where it was blissfully much more quiet. She drew her knees up so they formed a sort of surface where she balanced her parchment on as she leaned her back against the sofa, checking her facts with her book as she scribbled down her essay response questions. After some time though, she began to feel a bit cross eyed, and couldn't help but let her eyes wander a little. They landed on a girl she knew by sight but the name escaped her; she was in her house so Irina really should know her. Sixth year...shared a room with Lily.... Whoever she was, Irina noticed she was reading tarot cards and her interest spiked. Though the art of Divination had never really interested her, Irina had the gift of Clairvoyancy, with visions coming to her in the form of nasty little nightmares in the middle of the night. She'd never done a tarot card reading before. "Are those tarot cards?" Irina found herself blurting out, craning her neck to get a better look. @kyles1

As Madison sat down at her place she saw that one of the person who was sitting and reading was Irina Krum, whom she recognized easily. It was no difficulty for Madi to remember people and their names and this habit of hers had always came in handy. She was just through reading the tarot card predictions of sun when she heard the voice of the older Gryffindor speak. Madi raised her head a little at the question and nodded "yeah they are." She looked at the elder girl and agreed "have you taken divination ever before?" Madi has taken that subject herself, so as to drop it off later. And that was what she did, the moment she completed her owls. Though she got good scores in that subject she never had the interest to continue it not was she a seer to harness her inner eye. Madison extended the moon tarot card forward along wth the book she held for reference, so that the elder gryff can take look at. She extended the tarot card to Irina prompting her to take it. She then realized that the elder girl might not know her name, so she said "I'm Madison by the way, sixth year" as she gave a smile. LINK TO THE MOON TAROT CARD

Irina was relieved that the girl didn't seem angry or upset she had been disturbed; she would have felt rather bad if that had been the case. When she asked if she took Divination however, Irina paused a beat to figure out how to answer. It wasn't common knowledge she was a Seer, though most of her dormmates knew by now due to her waking them up with her screams of night terrors. Fortunately, for the most part they were empathetic, which she truly appreciated. She'd even been able to repay the favor for Anna recently when the girl had recurring nightmares about what happened to her in the First Task. "Oh, no I was never any good at Divination," she admitted, coming over to sit by the girl all the same. It was true at the very least; she had never had the patience for crystal ball reading or tea leaves. With the awakening of her Clairvoyance however, maybe she should take more of an interest in it all.
Irina's hand reached out automatically for the tarot card, she turned it over to see a moon with two fish on it. "This kind of looks like the Pisces Astrology symbol," she mused. The lightbulb in her head flicked on as the girl mentioned her name. Madison, Madison Roberts. "You're in Lily's dorm, I thought you looked familiar. Irina Krum," she said, adding her own name in introduction.

It was not as though Madison hated being disrupted, but some times it will be a little annoying when they want to gossip about while she is trying to get some studies done. But today, the person was a fairly pleasant company rather than some, whose mere presence makes her want to get away. But Irina was better or so she hoped. But when the elder girl behavior to speak, the topic was about academics and that was what she totally liked at the moment. Any other time, Madi would have loved to avoid the topic itself, but given her short attention span when it comes to divination she did not want to deviate from her work. As Irina mentioned that she was also not a student of divination, she nodded and said "oh that's better. I took it and had to bear the subject for two years, no offense though. But reading tea leaves and gazing into the glass sphere was not something i would like to learn more about." Madison gave a sight not when Irina made the connection, between the tarot card and the astrology sign. "Yes, even I noticed that. I'm just helping out my cousin, with an essay. So, I just started on this tarot card reading" Madi said as she placed the rest of the tarot card pile Calli has given her for understanding. When the seventh year recognized her name, it felt good bit it was slightly annoying to be referred to as Lily's dorm mate. And if Madi hated anything it was being tossed away and not recognized for she was. She gave a smile in return, when the girl introduced herself and said "yes i know you, you're the captain of potions club in which I'm a member too."LINK TO THE TAROT CARD PILE

Irina couldn't help but chuckle a little as Madison admitted she was not a student either. "I never even took the subject, so at least you have that background for looking into tarot cards. I just...well, it looked interesting," she said with a small shrug of her shoulders. She didn't know Madison well enough yet to let her in on the secret of her dream visions. It had taken Irina herself almost six years of not believing that her nightmares were really coming true, until the day the Kings Cross attack happened. That was when she knew she needed to stop kidding herself; her nightmares would sometimes tell her of events yet to happen. Irina noticed the slight change in body language when she referred to the other girl as Lily's roommate. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean offense by that; Lily and I have just been friends since I can remember. Being rival Champions in a deathly Tournament ended up giving our fathers a pretty good relationship," she said with a small smile. She shook her head and groaned slightly when Madison mentioned she was in Potions club. "I'm so sorry, my head space has just been a bit...muddled really. The guy I was dating went back to Durmstrang so it's been a rough go," she admitted weakly.

At Irina's reply, Madi too had to chuckle as that feeling was totally relateble and understanding for her. "oh trust me, I wouldn't even glance at these cards if not for my cousin who needs help" said Madi with a smirk. As the other girl said that they looked interesting, Madi gave a nod and said "yeah they are aren't they? I mean who would think that these pretty cards have soo much meaning behind them" she said as she played with the star card. As Irina began to explain for her actions, Madi just brushed it off and said "no, it's okay I understand besides I think no one can compete with Lily, not when she is the daughter of Harry Potter" and shrugged it. Though Lily and her have been friends for a long time, Madi often hated to be the second best, not even when the first was her own friend. She didn't even like it when Calli decided to beat her at Quidditch, and that was her cousin and Lily was not her cousin, so they competitive steak often comes out. When Irina apologized for not remembering, Madi just smiled and said "that's so sad, no one has to deal with things like these. And I know how it feels like to have your loved ones away from you" she said thinking about the time Lauren was away in France. All Madi could think was about her brother and how he was, and nothing else mattered much to her. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Irina nodded in an understanding way when Madison talked about Lily Potter. "There's also the whole she's crazy thing. In the best way possible of course," she said with a chuckle. She didn't know if Lily's werewolfism was common knowledge or not; to her it seemed to be like the worst-kept secret at Hogwarts. Well, second worst after her and Adrians' feelings for each other. Merlin knew why that took so long to make itself known to the two of them. Her mouth twisted into a half smile when Madison mentioned she knew what it was like to be away from loved ones. "Yeah. Let's just say I fell too hard too fast for my brothers' best friend. Not the best decision my heart and brain have made I suppose," she said, shaking her head a little. Irina scooted a little closer when Madison said she was helping her cousin. "What does your cousin need help for? Studying the subject or a more social sort of helping?" she asked, glancing down at the cards. Of course they meant nothing to her, having never taken the subject. She was sure some of them were obvious; she knew in most piles there was a 'Death' card with a Grim Reaper, and it didn't take a genius to figure out what that could lead to. She was unsure if Madisons' cousin went to school, and if she was helping her study then surely it was for something else. @kyles1

As Irina mentioned about Lily, Madi gave a chuckle and said "yeah you could say that. I've been in the same down as her for six years and I kinda agree with that". Anyone who knew Lily would after that she had a certain charm to her, which no one can compete with not that anyone would want to. In all these years being with her, if one thing Madi understood then it was that Lil was always a bit on the crazy and carefree side of the spectrum. As Irina mentioned about her life, Madi nodded and said "at that moment it may feel like that it's the right decision. But later on one realizes that it is not such" says Madi thinking about her own brother's life. Everything done how seems perfect at that time, but in reality it is not and only when one realizes it, life would be better even if it meant that they have to feel the pain. As Irina asked about what Calli needed, Madi spoke "she wants me to make some notes on each tarot card." She then added "she wants the possibilities of what may happen when a card is picked" and shrugged. Honestly the subject better made no sense to her logical mind. That was why Madi preferred subjects love charms and potions and in turn classes like defense and runes. Divination had always been get least favorite subject. She took out the moon card and said "this card here when picked up indicates that.." paused Madi as she looked at the broad and heavy book in get lap for reference. "Ahh so the moon card can be picked up in try ways. So when it is upright it indicates that the person it's having some Illusion, fear, anxiety, insecurity, subconscious. And if the card is picked up reversed then or means that the person is looking for a Release of fear, unhappiness, confusion" read Madi from the text. Looking at the elder lion she said "interesting is it not?" Madi might not be a fan of that subject, but tarot card reading is slowly turning out to be interesting. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Irina smiled wrly and gave her head a little shake. "Understatement of the century right there," she said, pushing back her long dair hair from in front of her shoulders and tying it up into a ponytail. "But...I don't regret anything, so that's good I guess," she added, shrugging a little bit. She certainly didn't regret any of the time she had spent with Daniel, the good and the bad. It made her a better person in the end, a more mature, worldly person. She'd never want to take any of it back. Irina nodded as Madison told her that her cousin wanted to make notes on the different cards. She took the moon card and turned it over in her hands, looking at the illustration. "So...it can mean different things depending on the way it's drawn? I wonder why that is," she mused, partly to herself as the other girl rattled off the different interpretations the moon card could mean. She hesitated, then saw the card that to her had always meant one thing. "So...that means this one can be intepreted in other ways then?" she asked, holding out the Death card. @kyles1

Madison just smiled at the girl and returned her attention back to the book in her lap all the while muttering on in French about crazy cousins who wouldn't drop divination. Being the third eldest in the Roberts family right after her twin brothers, Madi ended up as the big sis after the two graduated. As much as she loved her cute cousins, she does not like it if they decide to gang up on her and get things done. And so here she was stuck studying for a subject she dropped year ago. She huffed out, and watched as a stray blonde lock fly away from her face. Regret, till this day Madi never felt anything close to regret at what she did when it came to Adrian and Sasha's love life. But listening to Irina, she wondered if her brother is going to hold it against her someday. 'Adrian would never do such a thing' she thought, her brother lives her too much to choose that redhead over me thought Madi. "It is good, at least you have memories to cherish" she said with a small smile. But Madi had to wonder what went wrong with Irina and the guy she dated. Even from afar she saw that the two were all smiles and cute. The death card, that was what the elder Gryffindor took out of the pile. A card which is often seen as a bad omen Western picked out. Madi nodded her head slightly and turning through the pages she said "let's see, the death card.. ah here it is". Opened in front of her was the page which held the reading or possible prediction when one picks this out. "It would seem that this card also has two predictions based on the side over picks it up" she said interestingly. Pushing the book forward so that the other girl could also see, she began to read aloud, "when picked Up right it indicates Endings, beginnings, change, transformation, transition and when picked as Reverse it indicates Resistance to change, unable to move on". Madi was slightly more intrigued but this piece of information, for sure always assumed that picking it a death card was a bad one almost as though the person has seen a grim. But it would seem that she was wrong for thinking so. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Irina tucked one of her legs up under her; she knew Madison was trying not to pry, which she appreciated. A lot of the struggles her and Daniel had faced in December had been kept under wraps; only some of her closest friends had really been made aware of the situation at hand, and they didn't know that Daniel was an Empath, aware of all of the emotions everyone was oozing off, both strong and passive. It had all been too much for him in the end; Irina was a fool to believe otherwise. Still, to keep harping on the what-ifs and should have beens was rather unhealthy for anyone, especially for her. Her elder brother was expecting his first child with his girlfriend, which they haven't even told their parents yet. Some things were more important than teenaged romance woes. As Madison explained the Death card, especially the part where it didn't necessarily mean death itself, Irina frowned, listening intently. She had picked up the card upright, which meant endings, beginnings. Well that was certainly true, Dan leaving was an ending to say the least. "I'm glad it doesn't always mean death in the most literal sense, that would be quite morbid," she said with a small chuckle. "Endings and beginnings...I like the beginnings part of that," she mused. That sounded nice. "Okay, why don't you pull the next card and find out what it means for you?" she suggested. @kyles1

Madison always stayed away from other people's lives. She was a very good listener, but one has to be close enough to share secrets to her. But looking at Irina, Madi knew that the other girl didn't want to talk and being who she was, may was more than happy to let her be. It's not as though she and the elder Krum girl were besties, so Madi didn't mind much. When the topic went back to tarot cards, Madi happily let the previous topics slide away. After all the tarot reading was turning out to be quite interesting on it's own. As the elder girl prompted her to pick, Madi wondered what she would get. She picked up the card and turning it open, she find that it was the high priestess card, which she picked up up right. She held up the card and said "a major arcana card again, but this time it is High priestess. Let's see what it says" as Madi turned the pages in the book. She found it easily and said "here it is, when picked upright, like I did then it would mean that the person would attain Intuition, Higher powers, mystery, subconscious mind. And if it is picked up reversed, then it would mean that the person has Hidden agendas, and needs to listen to inner voice . She was very much interested but what she read, and was wondering what it would mean. "Wonder what that means!"MADE BY VEL OF GS

Irina watched as Madison picked up the next card, surprised to find herself more intrigued than she really had ever been when it came to Divination. She personally saw her Clairvoyancy as a curse over any other sort of viewpoint; so far she had only seen pain and destruction, with no way to help or to stop anything. Even when someone involved had believed her, it had still happened. She supposed there really was no way to change the future, even when she saw things before they had even happened. “Maybe it means you’ll get a foresight type of power?” Irina suggested, getting back to the card at hand. She knew some people had a ‘feeling’ of knowing something big was going to happen before it actually did, perhaps that was what this card meant. The hidden agendas meaning of the card though also made Irina curious. Her mind flashed back to Elaine Dupree, when she finally revealed her true colors last April. Sure she hadn’t been known as the nicest person at school, but she didn’t know how many people actually expected what she had been capable of. If that wasn’t revealing a hidden agenda, Irina didn’t know what was. “Do you have any secret agendas?” she asked the girl with a teasing smile, not really being serious. @kyles1

Madison was very much interested when Irina mentioned what the higher powers could possibly mean. What she said sounded like clairvoyant abilities and asked the same "you mean like clairvoyance?" Though the idea may sound great to others, she on the other hand did not think so. Knowing about the future was not something she wanted, what would she do if she knows about the future. She was not some one who can tolerate such things. Those things usually meant nothing but trouble as far as she was concerned. How could anyone stay calm and let things happen when they know what will happen later on? She shook her head when she heard the elder girl's voice. As Irina asked if she had any secret agenda's, Madi giggled and moved towards the elder girl and said in a small voice "yes, i do have actually" when in reality she didn't have any, or so she thought. Well there were many things she wanted to achieve, but those weren't any agendas they were just plans for her future. She might have had problems with others but she was not the type to conspire against them. Okay may be she does, but not that it actually hurts the person. No Madi weeks never hurt a person at least physically or in front of others. But she does wage wars against a certain redhead all the time. "But i didn't pick it up reverse, so no hidden agendas that others should worry about" she pointed out to Irina with a playful smile. Irina Rose Krum
