Louis stuck his tongue out at Dom, telling her that she had the veela grace on her side and she stuck her tongue out right back at him. She didn't care about acting her age, as almost anyone in the school already knew. Her brother should be aware of that too. She then rolled her eyes. "I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the veela grace. I'm good at physical things in general. That's what I was talking about. Besides, you do just fine without it." Really he was almost as graceful as she was, from her point of view, so Dom didn't really see what being part-veela had to do with it.
She watched as Louis summoned the harness and then went down. She smiled as she heard him holler on his way down, obviously enjoying the ride just as much as she had. He landed beside her, his happiness shining through and Dom's smile widened. It was nice to be with Louis like this, to be able to enjoy her time with him and just relax and not think about anything. That was one thing she absolutely loved about her brother. He asked if they should go again and Dom nodded vigorously. "Of course! I'll race you to the beginning. Go!" And off she went, booking it toward the beginning of the course. She wasn't sure if he meant doing the whole course again or just the zipline, but she wanted to do it all. She wondered if he had anything planned for after they were done with this or if it was all. She arrived at the beginning of the course and smiled. "Are you ready?"

“Yeah buuut maybe you’re going at physical things in general BECAUSE of your veela grace,” Louis retorted right back, grinning teasingly at his older sister. Though she had only 1/8th veela blood in her, Louis would never quite let it go that the girls both made heads turn more than they ever noticed, and likely gained natural athletic ability from it. It didn’t really matter in the end though; Louis was just glad there was someone else in his family that understood and encouraged his crazy, daredevil ways. Victoire was always worrying after him and his antics, and while Louis appreciated it, it could get annoying sometimes.
“Oi!” Louis shouted, laughing as he took off after his red haired sister. She had a bit of a head start but Louis knew he was faster. Still, they arrived at the beginning of the course around the same time, and he grinned as Dom asked if he was ready. “Sister dearest, I was born ready...to beat you!” he issued the challenge, and began to scramble up the first part of the course, being fast and...somewhat careful. Well, somewhat in making sure he wasn’t about to get tangled up in any ropes and look like an idiot.

Dom rolled her eyes when Louis said that she could be good at physical things because she was part veela. "Whatever. You can just go ahead being jealous of me then," she teased in a lofty voice. Obviously he wasn't going to let the thing go, so she wasn't going to waste time arguing with her about it. Of course, Dom didn't think it was because of her veela grace that she was so good at physical things, but there wasn't a way to prove that. It was just a part of who she was.
Dom laughed as she ran, proud of herself for surprising her brother. It wasn't really easy to surprise Louis, but she grew up with him. It was good to know that she could still get the drop on him sometimes. He finally reached her when she got to the beginning of the course. Then he challenged her, hurrying up the first part of the course. "Hey!" Dom called, laughing as she hurried up on her side. She didn't worry about getting tangled up, her main focus was beating her brother, but she caught up to him only as he reached the top. She shook her head. "Apparently you and I are pretty evenly matched, little Louis," she teased lightly. "And go!" She started the second part quickly, still trying to beat him, but not really. As long as she stayed with him, she'd be fine with that.

Louis stuck his tongue out at Dom and pretended to flounce his nonexistent hair. “Why do I need to be jealous of you I’m perfect,” he said teasingly, jutting a hip out and striking a pose. He laughed loudly after, just in case his sister didn’t realize he was only teasing her. They had grown up together after all, and she had been more than a willing partner in some of his more extreme adventures back home. They both also played Quidditch and one simply had to have athleticism in order to compete.
They stayed pretty even throughout the course; even though they were going at a much faster pace, neither would try anything like pushing the other off. They reached the zipline and Louis jumped on it. “Beauty before age!” he called, laughing as he flew down the line. He tumbled gently to the ground and conjured up two glasses. “Aguamenti,” he instructed, and water filled in the glass. “We should rehydrate before going again, just to be safe,” he told her, handing her a glass when she got down. He slugged back the water and wiped his mouth. “Let’s make this third time more interesting,” he suggested, then grinned. He conjured a rope and handed one side to her. “We have to do it attached by this rope at the hip. Teamwork building,” he challenged.

Dom laughed at her younger brother. Really, this was why they got along so well! He knew exactly the kind of teasing jests she would make and she knew the same thing about him. Their humor was pretty similar and at the moment his attitude was helping Dom remember what she used to be like. It was refreshing. "That's what you think," she teased back, laughing when he posed for her. brother.
It was just a demonstration of how evenly matched Dom and Louis were that they managed to keep up with one another through the entire course. Dom knew that he wasn't going easy on her because that wasn't his way. Nor was it hers. She was not going to let Louis win just because he was her younger. "Are you calling me old?" She called after him, laughing when he took the zipline first. It just seemed fair to her that he went first this time, since she went first last time. She summoned the zipline and flew down it after him. This was fabulous! When she got to the bottom, he had some water waiting for them. "Thanks," Dom said, taking her glass and downing it quickly. She filled her glass once more and drank it before he had a new suggestion. Dom grinned, a glint coming into her eyes. "Bring it on," she encouraged before he conjured a rope, saying they should do it together. Oh, this was going to be fun. Dom wasn't quite sure if she'd let them get through it easily, this would be too much fun to sabotage, but she might. "Let's do it!" she said in excitement, taking one end and attaching it to herself. "I'm ready when you are."

Louis grinned as Dom agreed to do the ropes course tied together. “Excellent,” he said, rubbing his hands together as his sister attached herself to the rope. He took the other end and tied it around his waist. “Now we’re going to have to work together sister dearest, no racing to be first this time unless you want to be physically taken down,” he instructed teasingly. He knew she’d never intentionally cause him physical harm. Well...that extent of physical harm; then she’d have Georgie to deal with.
They made their way over to the ropes course, and Louis looked over at Dom. She looked happy, at least to him she did. He knew how much she was still hurting over Ethans’ death, but he also knew Ethan would want her to be happy without him, since there was no way for them to be together anymore. It would take him, but he was confident his sister would find someone to match her to spend her life with. Who knew, maybe a foreigner would catch her eye sometime. “Ready sis?” he asked, crouching down in a mock race starting position. “On three….one...two….Three!”

Dom smirked at her brother as he warned her that they were going to need to work together or things wouldn't go very smoothly. "Careful, little brother," she teased, "If you start telling me what to do, I might get tempted to see just what will happen if I decide to mess around on the course." Not that Dom would actually do something dangerous. She'd never put Louis (or anyone else for that matter) in danger, but teasing was fun and she had no scruples about doing that, or taking it a little farther to make him wonder whether or not she would ...
Dom rolled her eyes when Louis asked if she was ready. She noticed him watching her a few seconds before but didn't comment on it. He was probably trying to determine her state of mind. Well, at the moment she was happy and she was going to stay that way as long as she could ... though it probably wouldn't last long once she entered the castle. "I'm always ready, Lou," she told him, starting to move as soon as his countdown was done. Huh. This was a lot easier than she expected, moving with her brother. She glanced over to him, but they seemed to be moving in sync, which she hadn't expected to happen right off the bat. "We're pretty good at this," she said with a smile, looking ahead once more. It didn't take long before they finished the first section.

Louis opened his mouth in mock indignation. “You wouldn’t dare - you love me too much!” he exclaimed with a chuckle. He knew Dom would never intentionally put him in harms’ way, and with that he felt perfectly safe and secure tied to her to trek the ropes course.
Dom was right; they were pretty good at working as a team. “It must be that veela grace,” Louis said jokingly as they climbed the rope ladder together and meticulously made their way towards the zipline. At the end of the course, he turned towards his sister, eyebrows raised. “We could try going down together, but I don’t know if the rope can hold both of our weights combined,” he commented, poking a finger into his sisters slender side before laughing again. The zipline likely could hold both of them, but if Dom had a trick up her sleeve she wanted to try, he’d try one of his own after.

Dom winked at her little brother. It was obvious from his reaction that he knew her threat wasn't real. He also knew her better than that. She shrugged, "I do love you tons. Just don't provoke me. When provoked, my actions are not my own." Dom smiled sweetly, sure he would see through the act.
Dom rolled her eyes. "You and that veela grace, little brother. You need to move on," she teased simply. She laughed when he talked about them doing the zipline together. "I think we should go separately, but you should go first this time," she smiled at him, untying the rope so they weren't connected and then gesturing for him to go.

Louis held up his hands. “Dom, I know the reputations red haired women have; do you really think I’d be so stupid as to provoke one of you lot?” he asked teasingly. He wasn’t serious of course, but obviously he’d seen the superstitions that redheads were soulless or evil incarnate. He didn’t believe them, and yet at the same time, he’d seen his sister angry so rarely that he didn’t fancy finding out exactly what that was like. “I just think veela grace should spread the love to the males as well,” Louis added indignantly. He didn’t comprehend why veela grace only passed onto the female line; didn’t the males deserve to be a little graceful too?
Louis watched as Dom untied the rope and shook his hips to loosen them up, contemplating if he wanted to go normally down the zipline or something a little more dating. Being true to himself, Louis rubbed his hands together, and attached himself to the harness. As he pushed off, he flipped upside down and stuck his tongue out at his sister as he zipped away from her through the tree tops. He whooped loudly, scaring a flock of birds from their roost on a nearby tree, and bounced off the bottom tree trunk. “What a rush,” he exclaimed, disentangling himself from the harness and magicking it back up to her.

Dom rolled her eyes when her brother started teasing her about her red hair. This wasn't entirely out of character for him to tease her about, but she still found it a bit ridiculous. Not in a bad way though. That was the good thing about Louis. He knew how to tease her and what to tease her about that would get her to just chill. Perhaps that was because he knew her so well, being her brother and all. "I thought you'd be wary of provoking me on my own, not just because I have red hair," she teased back. Two could play at this game. Then she laughed when he whined about not having veela grace. "What you're not happy with the awesomeness you do have? I'll have you know, you look pretty graceful to me." It was interesting how people made such a big deal out of veela grace when there were quite a few people without it who were just as graceful, if not more so, than people like Dom.
Her brother started moving around, to prepare himself for the zipline perhaps, and Dom smiled as she watched him. She loved how good her brother was at being himself. He didn't seem to worry about pleasing others and doing what they wanted; he made himself happy and she loved that. She started laughing at his stunts and when she heard him shouting as he went down. Before long, the zipline was back up to her. Quite honestly, Dom didn't really have any fancy ideas, but she did feel like being reckless. She jumped on without getting in the harness, grinning madly to herself as she went down. She swung a little bit near the end, jumping off a little early and doing a little flip before landing on her feet. Then she shrugged at her brother. "Are you starting to get hungry?" Dom asked curiously. If he wasn't, she'd stay out here with him, but her stomach was craving something. Maybe eating would be a good idea.

Louis just rolled his eyes at his sisters comments about wanting to not cross her regardless; he had respect for Dominique of course, and he looked up to her. But he’d never tell her that to her face obviously. He waited rather impatiently down at the bottom of the course, wondering if Dominique could top what he had just pulled off. His eyes widened slightly as his sister dared to forgo the safety of the harness and swung down freestyle, landing on her feet with a single flip gracefully. “Oh yes, compared to you I am super graceful,” he said very sarcastically, but laughed and applauded. “Nicely done sis,” he said, linking arms with her. As if on cue, Louis’ stomach rumbled loudly, signalling that it was indeed time for him to engorge himself on some of the delicious food the house elves had prepared for them. “Smashing idea, but we should sit at the Gryffindor table and have a proper family dinner,” he said, tugging her arm as he made his way back up to the castle. “Last one there’s a Dungbomb!” he yelled suddenly, loosening his arm from hers and racing up towards the castle. @dominique end here, or next post from you

Dom laughed at her brother's comment after her landing. "Not many people look graceful compared to me little brother, so don't take it personally," she teased, though a part of her kind of loved it. She liked being good and having fun and playing around with her little brother was a good feeling. She forgot how much she loved spending time with him. Forgot that when she got lost in her own thoughts and feelings and memories. Then they were headed back to the castle for food. Naturally, Louis suggested they eat at the Gryffindor table. Dom rolled her eyes. "Fine, we'll do that this time. Just remember that eventually you're all going to have to come to the Ravenclaw table and eat with me. I have house pride too, you know." She laughed. Then he challenged her and Dom laughed as she took off, racing her brother back to the Great Hall. She was excited. --- the end --- @louis
