Liona sighed once again as the Greyback girl had yet another outburst, claiming she wouldn't go in because of her. She honestly thought Liona would try something. She honestly hated messy physical altercations unless someone started them. She definitely wasn't afraid to fight but she didn't like getting involved in the them if she could avoid it. Pointless really. Just like this back and forth exchange she was having now. It was getting boring. She'd stick around and waste Jamie's time but it seemed as if her free time was actually coming to an end. She may just have to concede in order to have enough time to study and finish her homework for classes. Bummer. "Seriously? I'm not going to touch you Greyback. Just hurry up and get into the room and spend your 15 minutes," she exhaled, glaring at the girl. "Clearly you weren't taught any manners growing up, You're supposed to let those in a rush go before you out of kindness. Shame on me for thinking otherwise." She ran her eyes over the girl and made a dismissive sound.
She laughed humorlessly, clasping her hands in front of her. "I will gladly stand wherever I please. I'm quite fond of this spot," her words were cool as she spoke, eyes narrowed as she stared at the girl. "Or I can start the ritual myself to summon the door and go in anyway and request that you can't follow. Your choice." She was actually quite tempted to do that anyway, she knew the door was capable of keeping anyone out that didn't belong. The Greyback girl definitely qualified as someone she didn't want in the room with her. Or in her immediate proximity at all.

For all that the Zabini girl was saying that she wasn’t going to touch the Greyback girl, Jamie could see Liona getting pissed off and throwing a punch. That was how a lot of pureblood girls were, it seemed – prim and proper until they got angry, in which case, sparks began to fly. Jamie rolled her eyes (not for the first time) when Liona said that Jamie wasn’t taught any manners growing up. “Why would anyone teach manners to a wolf child?” Jamie said acerbically, all too willing to embrace what people thought about her due to her surname if it was an excuse not to be the epitome of pureblood perfection. Jamie wasn’t going to say that she was going to let Liona have the room, until the other girl had started to be an utter bitch about the entire situation and continually insist that Jamie’s time was somehow worth less than her own.
When Liona began to talk again, Jamie simply held up a hand so that she would shut up – or, more likely, not. She was going to get the room to open, and she was going to do it now. Jamie paced back and forth three times, trying to tune Liona out and think of the songs that her admirer had told her to listen to. When the Hufflepuff opened her eyes, though, no door had appeared. “It’s because you were talking!” Jamie snapped before Liona could say anything derogatory. “Be quiet, and let me try again.” Jamie said, beginning to pace once more.

Once again Liona watched as the girl rolled her eyes and said something along the lines of a denial that she had any manners. Or at least that was what Liona got out of it. "Wolf child? That's your excuse? Well wolf child since you insist on interacting with humans it would behoove you to learn some," she was dismissive as she spoke. How fitting, wolf child. Greyback was being a child about this whole thing so the name was fitting. She might just call her that from now on...
Liona rolled her eyes once the girl held her hand up, a silly attempt to stop her from talking. She sighed and began examing her nails once the girl began to focus and start the ritual to summon the door. Just out of spite, she hoped it didn't work. From the corner of her eye, Greyback walked once, twice, three times past the area the door would appear in, her eyes closed tightly in concentration. Liona wished she had Leglimency then just to figure out what it was the girl was requesting out of the room. Would it be something to keep her out? She half thought about following the girl into the room just to see what was so important. That is until the girl opened her eyes. Liona looked directly at the the spot where the door should have been; nothing appeared. With satisfied amusement, Liona snickered as the girl claimed the door didn't appear because she'd been talking. "Or it didn't appear because it knows you don't need it." She watched as the girl began to try again and sighed in an exasperated fashion. "Seriously, you've had your chance. Let someone else try."

Jamie wasn’t sure whether or not Liona believed that ‘wolf child’ was meant as a legitimate excuse, because really, she had just said it because it was the first half-coherent, non-curse word thing that had popped into her head. If only Liona knew about the real origins of the wolf child, Jamie thought to herself with a half frown. Maybe then the Slytherin would be a little less hasty to go insulting her. Not many people tangled with Fenrir Greyback and lived to tell the tale, especially not seven year olds who didn’t know a thing about how to control their own magic.
The door failed to appear even after her second attempt, and Jamie sorely wished that she was a wolf child who didn’t have any qualms about throwing a tantrum. But she still had some sense of decorum, and Jamie knew that if she didn’t let Liona have an attempt at the room, she was going to be insulted even more. Jamie took three slow, deliberate steps away from the door, her gaze turning stony as she looked at Liona. “I doubt that you’ll be able to get in.” Jamie said, her rage burned away by her failure and replaced by cold apathy instead. If the room didn’t think that getting to listen to her pen pal’s songs was important enough to warrant its use, then it wasn’t going to let anyone in, because there was nothing more important than that to Jamie at that moment.

Liona breathed deep as she watched the wolf girl pace back and forth in front of the wall once again, to no avail. It was just as she had figured; whatever she'd come here to do wasn't nearly as important as what she'd come to do. The room could tell especially with both of them in close proximity to it. She would be glad to get into the room now. Greyback had wasted so much of her time arguing with her that it was almost time for her to return to her studies. "How unfortunate but how wrong. As I'd said, my task is clearly more important than yours. So step aside," the Greyback girl had already been making her move to step away from the normal ritual walk way as she'd demanded before commenting on how she knew the door wouldn't open for her either. Liona took a deep breath, calming the annoyance that she'd caused and focusing on the vast, almost infinite library of music that she wanted. She also concentrated on the image of a record player like the one her father had at home. She paced forward, then back, then forward once more in front of the wall, keeping those images front and center in her mind's eye. Once she finished the third stroll, she opened her eyes.... only to see that the door hadn't appeared for her either. She took a quick look at the Greyback girl, nostrils flaring in annoyance once again before she tried again. Even on her own second try the door still didn't appear. She walked up to the wall and felt around for some sign that the door was there but concealed but felt nothing. "Huh. I guess someone is already inside..." That was the only logical explanation for the door not appearing for her. Her task was quite clearly important...

Jamie waited with bated breath as Liona began to pace in front of where the door to the Room of Requirement should have appeared. If the other girl got the room to open where Jamie had failed, then she might honestly throw a tantrum. When Liona stopped pacing and opened her eyes, though, a door still hadn’t appeared, and Jamie felt a stab of triumph at the thought of the other girl being the same level of importance, or even less, than her. Liona assumed that someone else was already inside, and Jamie shrugged her shoulders. She honestly didn’t care why the room wasn’t opening, as long as it wasn’t opening for either of them. “Are you going to wait for whomever it is to come out?” Jamie asked, folding her arms across her chest as she did. If Liona was willing to wait for the stranger inside the room but not the Hufflepuff, then Jamie would have more than a few choice words for her…which she would probably just mutter under her breath when she got back to the Hufflepuff common room. Even though Jamie was being a bit snippy, she wasn’t about to cross the line into straight out rudeness. Once she figured out whether or not Liona was going to camp out outside the room, Jamie would be able to make her own decision about what to do. Honestly, she was probably just going to give up and try again the next day.

Liona turned to the wolf girl just as she'd shrugged her shoulders. She was sure that was the reason; someone was clearly already using the room and they'd both been too late. "Looks like you weren't here first either." The comment was wholly unnecessary, she had to admit, but poking at the bear--wolf, was becoming fun. She stood with her hand to her chin, examining the wall just a bit longer to see if maybe the door was moving a little slow today before she sighed and turned back to Greyback. She scrunched up her face just a moment in a look that said exactly how she felt about that. "Why would I? I'll just come back some other day." And that would probably be tomorrow if she was being honest. She'd already gone long enough without commenting on the music to her anonymous writer. She'd probably begin to wonder, and then ask, if she'd listened to the music. She didn't want to tell her no. She looked at a clock that wasn't too far off from where they were. She'd missed her self-inflicted curfew. "Have fun standing there if you wish." she waved at her dismissively before she headed back in the direction she'd come from. Time to dive back into the world of Divination.

Liona made a jab about Jamie not actually being the one to be there first, and the Hufflepuff just shook her head a little. For someone who claimed to be polite, Liona seemed to be going out of her way quite a bit to make Jamie feel like crap, and that wasn’t something that polite people were supposed to do. The Slytherin said that she wasn’t going to bother waiting around, which only solidified Jamie’s choice to leave, too. She was going to wait until after Liona had left, though, because otherwise they would have to walk all the way down to the basement together, and that did not seem like any kind of fun. Once the other girl had disappeared, Jamie decided that it wouldn’t do her any harm to try opening the room one more time, without any distractions. However, when that, too, failed, Jamie knew that it wasn’t going to be happening any time soon. She would just do what Liona was planning to do, and come back at a later date, when no one was inside.
