Anna shrugged a little bit when Liona asked her if it was because of the tournament that she changed her mind. "It's a bunch of things," Anna answered, "but yeah, the tournament has a part to play in it. I just ..." she trailed off, not knowing how to explain what was changing her mind. She'd had enough danger to last a lifetime? She didn't want to stress Oscar out because she had no intention of breaking up with him? She wanted something less stressful? It was a combination of things. "It just doesn't appeal to me as much anymore," she said finally. Then she nodded, "Yeah, I'm not really worrying about finding a job. I mean, if I do well in my N.E.W.T.s they should help me get a job in most places." Wow, Liona was really in tune with Anna's thoughts. "That's why I'm focusing on those and the tournament. It'll work out." Anna was a little more nervous about finding a job that she liked than she was showing, but she had time. It wasn't like she needed to know right now what she wanted to do. She laughed, "It will be nice to not have a curfew, and to move out of my parent's house." Then again, that brought her back to the thought of needing a job. She was going to need money in order to have somewhere else to live. She'd figure it out. Anna listened as Liona explained that she'd learned a lot about Jamie, like her favorite color. "That's just because we're awesome in Gryffindor," Anna teased with a chuckle before listening once more. "Are you nervous about her reaction?" Anna asked after a few moments. That seemed to be the vibe she was getting from Liona, but she knew her friend pretty well and couldn't remember her ever being nervous about something before.

Listening to Molly's explanation as to why her interest in being an auror waned, she frowned for her friend. She hoped that her interest for Divination never fell off like that. Of course she didn't have any death defying tasks to complete so there was nothing putting pressure on her to change her mind. "It is a dangerous job so I can't necessarily say that it's a bad thing that you changed your mind because I would never want to put myself in that kind of danger. But if you change your mind later at least you're taking the right classes for it," she gave a smile and a quick nod. The red head did agree with her about being able to find a job easily with those classes and she knew that everything would work out for her. If not an auror though, where would she start her job search. There were plenty of things to do. She could still work for the ministry as something other than an auror. Aspirations of being a government approved crime fighter didn't necessarily translate to desk work and she couldn't even think of her being able to sit around doing paperwork for long periods of time. "In the eyes of the law, we will be adults in just a few months. That should be a scary thought, right? The anticipation is quite bothersome," she commented thoughtfully. She was certain that there were many of her graduating classmates that were the furthest things from adults but that wasn't her problem. There was a good chance that many of the people she graduated with wouldn't make much of themselves but she knew that at the very least everyone she chose to align herself with would be well known and contribute to society, including Molly. She wouldn't have it any other way. Liona snorted when her friend commented that Gryffindor's were awesome. She wasn't sure about that because she didn't make friends with many Gryffindors for many different reasons. She did know that she liked Molly though so she wouldn't just straight out deny the claim. "Yes I am nervous but it's my fault really. I put a damper on my chances by doing something... unintentionally stupid. How ironic that it ended up being for her in the end," she tried to sound nonchalant as she spoke but a bit of confusion and frustration seeped into her words at the end. She was trying to remain vague but she figured her friend would ask her to elaborate. Everything would go down hill from there. She hoped she wouldn't ask, maybe she would just give her some of that Gryffindor encouragement that everything would be ok.

Anna smiled, appreciating the fact that Liona wasn't trying to change her mind. In fact, she seemed to be agreeing with the idea that not being an auror could be good for Anna. That was nice, talking to someone who thought the same way she did. "Yeah, now I'm just going to start thinking about what I do want to do with my life." Anna wasn't particularly worried about that, but it was also something she thought on semi-frequently now. She hadn't told Oscar that she was thinking of changing what she wanted to do, mostly because it hadn't come up and she hadn't thought of something to replace it with yet. She wanted to have a plan before she really told people. Liona ... she trusted Liona to not go blurting things out about her to others. Anna smiled at her friend, "Technically we're already adults," she teased, "but I know what you mean. It is a bit intimidating." More so now that she didn't have a plan, but Anna would figure that out. She started talking a little bit about being nervous to meet Jamie and Anna was surprised. Liona always seemed so confident, but at the moment she was so ... hesitant and frustrated. Anna didn't want to push her into revealing anything she didn't want to, but it was also going to be hard for her to not ask any questions. "Do you want to talk about it?" Anna asked slowly. "I'm sure that things will work out with Jamie though. She's pretty understanding of people and gets along with almost everyone, especially after taking the time to get to know them." Whatever happened couldn't be bad enough that Jamie would avoid Liona, could it?

With a quick nod, Liona agreed with the red head's sentiment on finding something that she wanted to do. She wondered how long that discovery would take; she knew of few things Molly enjoyed but she didn't think they translated to anything she could make a living from. She knew of the shop attached to her family's name and run by her uncle but she didn't think she would have any interest in working in that shop or even running her own business. Molly was good at heart and just taking a look at her previous career choice, she had a need to help others so Liona figured she would end up in a position that allowed her to fulfill that. At Molly's teasing and insistance that they were adults, Liona shook her head and groaned. "I know I know. At the very least I can use my wand outside of school but being in school still makes me feel restricted. I would rather only have boundaries that I set for myself," she commented. She didn't find it intimidating herself but she understood why Molly found it to be that way. With things so up in the air anyway. Once she found her way she'd be as excited as Liona was. As she talked about Jamie, Liona could feel her nerves amp up a bit more the more she spoke about her and that made her even more frustrated. Her brow furrowed once Molly asked her if she wanted to talk about it. She didn't, not really anyway. She offered up kind words which only made Liona more frustrated because they were spoken when she didn't have all of the information. She'd thought they'd make her feel better but just remembered the look on Jamie's face after she'd gotten angry with her made her flinch along with the pang that appeared in her heart. She felt really bad about it. "I was really rude to her. Two days in a row actually. I think I managed to frighten her and I didn't even realize until after the fact. And I haven't even apologized to her for it. Not as myself, because I can't do that in our letters without revealing who I am," she chuckled, entirely devoid of humor as the words spilled out of her. At least it was out in the open now. She didn't look at Molly after she'd finished speaking because she didn't want to see the disappointment she was sure was there.

Liona started explaining what she meant by being more free once she was graduated and Anna found herself nodding along with her friend. Of course, Liona was right. It would be easy to feel restricted here at school with all the rules and requirements. Once they graduated they would definitely have more freedom. They could choose how late they stayed out, what they did with their free time, etc. Basically all that Liona was saying about being able to set their own boundaries. "I like the idea of being able to set my own boundaries," Anna commented. "Though I guess first I'll need to find a job so I can move out of my parent's house otherwise I'll just switch from school boundaries to their boundaries." Her father could have ridiculous boundaries and Anna often got in arguments with him over things that weren't as important as boundaries. It would be easy to do the same thing once out of school. Yeah ... Anna needed to find at least a temporary job to get her out of that house.
As she watched her friend and they talked about Jamie, Anna could see that Liona was tense. She was curious about what happened, of course, but wasn't going to push her friend to explain. Then Liona did. Not specifics, but those weren't quite necessary. Anna listened carefully. "So ... you were rude to her and may have frightened her before you two started writing and now you don't know how she'll react when you meet because you haven't apologized for it." Anna bit her lip as she thought for a moment. "You could try apologizing a while before you tell her who you are, maybe?" She asked. Anna wasn't sure if Liona wanted suggestions, or just someone to tell about her experience. Anna could try to do either, but she wasn't sure how much of a help she'd be.

Molly's words had her thinking of her own situation at home. She could stay with her parents, of course. She technically didn't even need to work but she had things that she wanted to pursue and power to acquire. Money was power for course but if she could grab a hold of some power without just having to use money to get it, she would be ecstatic. She wasn't below using her name to get what she wanted but that would only go so far with some people. She knew there were many people that weren't purebloods who didn't care for her blood status or her name. the minister of magic was Hermione Granger and she rose to power with her influence as a war heroine and the fact that she wasn't stupid. Liona couldn't claim war participation but she wasn't stupid and she did have her name. She would reach her goals. So she had every intention of moving out of her father's home and living on her own. He would approve of her trying to do things on her own. Well... not completely on her own anyway. "My plan is to move out of my parents house as well so I really will be able to set my own boundaries," she giggled a bit though she knew that wasn't completely true either. She still had standards to uphold, no that she found it to be a chore. She was proud to live up to the Zabini name, she was proud of her name.
"It wasn't exactly before we started writing. This was while we were writing but before I found out who it was I was writing to. Before I knew that it was Jamie I was writing," Liona stated with a sigh. It should have been her excuse, normally she would have made herself feel better about it that way but because she knew that it was Jamie she couldn't stop feeling bad about it. This was someone she was supposed to care about, some she had alluded to caring about many times while writing her and yet she had treated her like she was nothing, no one. She would have to apologize eventually. She could only hope she would forgive her. Molly said something along the same lines, that she should apologize before she told her who she was. "At this point I'm certain she does not want to see me. We share some classes together and it seems like she's more conscious about where she sits. She's always on the opposite side of the class from me."

Anna nodded when Liona explained that her goal was to move out. "At least I'm not the only one thinking along those lines." It was definitely a good thing. Her parents would probably be surprised when Anna tried to find a job and leave home as soon as possible, but maybe they wouldn't. Considering how poorly she got along with her father ... they might expect her to try and leave quickly. In fact, that was part of the reason, but not all of it. Honestly, Anna just wanted freedom and she didn't want to have to explain herself and what she chose to do to her parents.
Her friend was obviously distressed by the situation, but Anna didn't really know what to say to her. The fact that it was while they started writing instead of before didn't really make a difference in Anna's mind because it was still before either of them knew who the other was. Now Liona seemed nervous to reveal herself because of what Jamie's reaction to her might be. Her eyebrows furrowed. "Well, you could always try to arrive after her. Like, maybe right before class begins. Then you could choose to sit nearer to her and maybe you could talk?" Anna suggested, but she didn't know how comfortable her friend would feel about that. It was a strange way to do things, after all. Then again, the whole situation seemed strange and complicated.

Liona nodded when Molly mentioned that she was glad she wasn't the only one thinking that way. She had no plans on staying with her parents forever. She would have had to move out eventually, especially with her aspirations. She didn't want people to look at her with just their preconceived notions of her being a privileged pureblood. She was a privileged pureblood but she was also more than that. She was a great leader and how would anyone be able to see that if she was still living with their parents. She at least had to give them the illusion of being easier to identify with. Molly's words about Jamie made her pause completely. She was joking right? Liona didn't know whether to laugh or groan or be angry. "You have to know how creepy that sounded out loud, right?" she snorted, placing her hand over her mouth and holding in her laughter. It wasn't a laughing matter but what she had said had been creepy! She would be royally angry and horrified if someone she hated came and sat by her on purpose just to talk to her. "I don't want to torture her. I am certain I am the last person she wants to see considering how badly I treated her. She's been avoiding me on purpose, if she feels that way, why make it worse." Her mirth passed quickly and she took a deep breath. She really didn't now if there was anything she could do at this point to alleviate the situation. And while her attempts to make it better seemed futile, she could appreciated the fact that she attempted to make her feel better about the situation.

Liona snorted at her suggestion and Anna shook her head and laughed as well. "That's not what I meant," she responded, a definite whine in her tone. "I just ... I'm trying to think of a way you can talk to her to apologize." Which wasn't turning out so well, obviously. "No, I didn't really mean that," Anna reiterated, still trying to think. She nodded as Liona said that she didn't want to force Jamie to talk with her, that she didn't want to make things worse. She racked her mind, trying to think of something that could help Liona. Jamie was a great girl, but Anna didn't know how to come back from something like that. She shrugged at her friend. "I don't really have any other ideas. I could let you know if I have any though?" she asked, not really knowing what else she should say. She could suggest Liona be nice if they happened to run into one another, but she also felt like that kind of went without saying. Liona wasn't an idiot. "Is there anything else you want to talk about?" Anna asked curiously.

As soon as Molly started to whine, Liona couldn't hold on to her laughter anymore. Her hand was still over her mouth but her laughter took over and she held her stomach. She figured Molly hadn't meant to be creepy but she couldn't help pointing it out. "I know you're trying to help, and I do appreciate it," she she commented once she'd stopped laughing, "but I don't think there is much to be done now. I just have to wait and see how this all pans out. I'm hoping for the best but I won't be surprised if she declines." And it will be her lose if she does. Liona was a catch, she knew this. And while her methods had been... questionable, what she had been trying to do had been for her. Granted she'd ruined it in the process, she was sorry about the way she'd gone about it. Liona tried not to be sad at the thought of Jamie saying no to her. She couldn't say no right? She wasn't the only one who'd felt... different after all of the letters they'd exchanged. Liona nodded to herself. She would have to live with it, whatever Jamie's choice was. She shook her head when Molly asked if she wanted her to let her know if she could come up with any other way for her to figure things out. "At this point, I will let what happens, happen. Jamie is her own person and I can't change any decision she makes. If she decides not to give me a chance... well.. that will be that then." When the redhead asked her if there was anything else she wanted to talk about, Liona smirked. Was she trying to dismiss her? She must of been going to meet with the boy toy she'd heard about around school. What was his name..? "No no. I won't keep you any longer. I'm sure you've got other important things to do," the words were said with suggestion and Liona snickered. "We can talk about your boyfriend some other time," she grinned and gave a wave before she sauntered off elsewhere.
