Andy hadn't been able to bring herself to hang out in the Library for very long since she got back, but now - halfway through the month- she decided she could give it a go. It was in the evening, after dinner and most of the kids were getting ready for bed anyway, so it wasn't incredibly crowded.
She moved to a corner table, fairly secluded but not completely and sat down, taking one of her books to hold in her lap like a shield. She glanced around for anyone she was close to, and her eyes fell on a few that she could talk to but... didn't. She shifted her gaze to her book and opened it on the table. She ran her fingers over the pages, and loved the feeling off the old book under her fingertips. Almost any feeling was a good feeling right now, since she had spent so much not feeling anything. Phil wasn't with her at the moment, which was okay, but she was a little nervous about sitting out in the open. She felt like a deer in hunting season, just waiting for someone to pounce on her. She was focused on the book, but she still heard someone approaching and turned to face them.
Then she smiled, "well, don't you look beautiful. As always."

Susan had had quite the positive February; her relationship with Casey was still going strong, and she was getting a lot closer to her younger brother Ed than she had ever remembered being before, and of course Andromeda Lestrange. With Braelynn in South America (she never gave her exact location in case her letters got into the wrong hands) and Andy in the hospital, Susan had felt like a piece of her was missing for much of January. She had other friends that she spent time with of course, but she, Andy and Bay had always had a special bond since they had started at Hogwarts. She had detested Jude, and didn’t bother to hide her glee when he and Andy broke up, and she had been thrilled with her decision to embrace her feelings towards Phil. But, even with Andy back, there was something nagging at the back of her mind. She was supposed to be a good friend, how had she not noticed what was going on with Andy? Sure, her friend knew how to hide her emotions better than anyone, but why hadn’t she gotten a whiff that something was not right? She could blame her newfound love life she supposed, but Andy wouldn’t let her do that, not with how happy Casey made her. Still, she felt like she had failed her friend. As she approached the dark haired girl, Susan saw her look up and smile. “Well thank you, as do you,” she replied, spinning around once and giggling a bit. “What book have you got there?” she asked curiously, taking a seat beside her.

Andy's smile grew as Susan spoke, then she giggled along with her friend as she spun around. "Thank you," Andy responded, but she wasn't necessarily believing the compliment. She knew that ever since New Years Eve she had lost a lot of weight and had those dark circles under her eyes. That she looked more like a skeleton then a living person, but she appreciated the compliment nonetheless.
When Susan sat down, Andy pushed the book toward her, "it's the Complete Works of William Shakespeare," she explained. "I figured he wrote enough tragedies that there is probably some clue about what I should expect from my future in here," it was her attempt at a joke, but her soft tone didn't really play that up too much. instead, she probably sounded more wistful then humorous. "I used to read it quite a bit when I was younger but... haven't in years," she admitted.

Susan couldn’t help but smile at Andy’s book choice; it reminded her of Sander and his immense love of all things Shakespeare. “Lysander loves Shakespeare too - I’m sure if you wanted someone to talk to about it he’d be more than happy to oblige,” she said with a small giggle. Being royal, Susan had read plenty of Shakespeare herself over the holidays, but while she liked some of the stories, some of them were impossibly hard to get through. “If you’d like to this summer we can go to the Globe Theatre in London - they put on Shakespeare productions daily,” she offered. She didn’t know what the Longbottoms had planned for the summer, but she hoped Andy would be allowed to come stay with her for a little while at least.
Susan glanced out the window of the library; the sun was shining and on her way there she had overheard excitable students gabbing on about how nice it was outside. “Come on, it’s apparently beautiful outside and Merlin knows when we’ll get another day like it again,” she decided, standing up and offering her hand to Andy. They left the library and settled on the Courtyard, which had a few students milling about but not as many as the lake or other parts of the grounds; it would make Andy more comfortable. “So tell me, which story has caught your fancy so far?” Susan asked her friend.

Lysander... it took Andy a moment to remember who he was. Scamander, Susans house, Bay's house. Andy hadn't really talked to him that much, since she didn't talk to anyone that much. "I'll consider that," she said with a soft chuckle. Then Susan suggested the Globe and Andy's eyes widened excitedly, "hey, that's actually a really cool idea! Is it near your castle?" she half teased.
Then Susan suggested they go outside and Andy didn't even hesitate to pack of her things. Andy took Susans hand and let her lead the way to the Courtyard. Once outside, she took a deep breath of the fresh air. "Awe, it is a perfect day," she agreed. "Which story?" she guessed Susan meant the Shakespeare, "I'm enjoying Twelfth Night currently," she chuckled, "I always like that one."

Susan nodded happily. “It’s just a short train ride away - mum keeps a townhouse in London proper anyway, so we can even stay there and walk to the Globe!” she told her excitedly. It would be good for Andy to get out and explore London, and who better to do so than with a bonafide expert? “We can do loads of other things too, we can go see a West End Show, we can go on the London Eye, tour all the old cathedrals and castles,” she rattled off, then grinned sheepishly. “Sorry, you know I get carried away sometimes,” she admitted with a giggle.
“Twelfth Night was good, I prefer As You Like It personally. I had to read all the historical ones, Henry VI, Richard II since it was about my ancestors,” she explained, rolling her eyes a little. The historical plays had started out interestingly enough, but they were a bit too long, even for Susans’ taste. She paused, then took Andy’s hand gently. “How are you, really?” she asked softly. She knew Andy would only answer if she really wanted to, and Susan would be okay with that. She just wanted her to know whenever she was ready, Susan would be there for her to talk to.

So, it was just a short train ride away from the castle. But closer to the Townhouse, Susan said. Susan went on about some other things they could do which made Andy smile. Then she laughed as Susan admitted to getting carried away. She, of course, didn't mind. "Sounds good to me," Andy agreed with a happy nod. It actually did sound like quite a lovely idea. Spending time with Susan in London, doing all those touristy things she really had never done. It sounded like a dream, almost. Like she had a normal life.
Andy nodded as Susan explained which play she preferred, and how she read the historical ones because of ancestry. "I'm sure your older brother loved reading those," she joked. She knew Will, just a little, since he was in her house a few years ago. He seemed rather proud about his heritage.
Susan was taking her hand then, asking how Andy really was. 'I'm.. not sure," she hasn't made the mental note to check in to how she was doing for a few hours at least. And now that she was being asked... she wasn't sure.

Susan beamed as Andy confirmed it was perfectly fine to get a little carried away. She knew she wanted to make sure Andy had the best summer ever, partly because of what she had been through over the past few months, but also because it was a final opportunity to spend time together before they started their careers, wherever it took them. She knew that she’d still see Andy and her friends, but not as much as before. It was strange; back when she was eleven and found out about her magic, she had been terrified of what the school would be like. Would people know she was a royal, and would they treat her differently? Luckily her fears went unrealized, and she felt like she belonged at Hogwarts. The idea of graduating, though the Ministry called to her, was terrifying.
“It’s okay to not know how you’re doing,” Susan said softly. She couldn’t imagine how Andy felt coming back to school after missing almost a month. She knew she’d almost not come back after the kidnappings; if Will and their mother had gotten their way, she wouldn’t have. But it had been thanks to Andy and the kindness of the Longbottoms that got her through her first summer on her own, working for the first time in her life at the Leaky Cauldron. “If there’s anything I can do for you Andy, just name it,” she added, wanting to make absolutely sure her best friend knew she was there for her.

Susan said it was okay to not know how she was doing, and that really was some of the best advice Andy could have gotten. Susan then offered to do anything, at Andys naming, and Andy nodded. "I promise I will let you know," she said, squeezing her friends hand. "I think we should write to our little fox friends," she said softly. Zander apparently had become a fox animagus too, which Andy thought was just the sweetest thing she had ever heard. So, it was easy for Susan to know who she was talking about. "I haven't said anything to them since I got out of the hospital. Maybe we could send them a picture of us," she chuckled. She'd LOVE to have a picture of Braelynn but that was basically out of the question. Andy also wanted to update Braelynn on how Cecelia was doing.

Susan perked up as Andy suggested writing to their fox friends; she had first confided in both Braelynn and Zander when she was studying to be an Animagus, and had been pleasantly excited to hear his transformation put him as the same breed as his wife. She hoped that wherever they were - they never said in case their letters fell into wrong hands - that they were happy. She knew that as long as they had each other, they would be. “I think that’s a wonderful idea,” she exclaimed, reaching into her bag. She quickly found a spare bit of parchment and quill, and dug a little deeper to find her nice navy blue ink. She perched the piece of parchment on her legs and stuck her tongue between her teeth as she began to write. “Dear Foxy Friends,” she said, then giggled. “It rather sounds like we’re writing our friends dancing at a nightclub,” she said, giggling again. She wrote a small paragraph loaded with questions for the two of them, then handed it over to Andy. “I can tell you want to add a bit; after that we can take a photo and send it off,” she told her excitedly.

Susan was always prepared, and that was something Andy loved about her. Andy chuckled as Su pulled out the parchment and began to write, and laughed even louder as she suggested that it sounded like they were writing dancers at a nightclub. "Can you imagine Zander dancing in a nightclub?" Andy laughed even more at the thought. "Actually, I think the other one is less likely to be a dancer," she laughed. She didn't want to picture it, but Zander up on the stage was something she has seen before, with the guitar of course. He was probably more likely to do that then Bay was. She couldn't help but laugh at the thought.
After her laughter had died down a little Susan pushed the letter over to her, suggesting that she could add her own words before they took the picture and sent it off. Andy nodded, bending over to write some of her own thoughts, feelings, updates, and maybe one or two questions, she wasn't big on questions. She'd update Bay on Cece separately. When she was done she signed her name of the bottom and pushed it back to Susan. "Alright! Now we just have to get our hands on a camera..."

Susan laughed along with Andromeda on picturing both Zander and Braelynn dancing in a nightclub. Both of them would be rather odd out at a nightclub, but perhaps Bay a little more. She assumed though, that had more to do with the fact that her (now deceased) sister had believed she had killed Braelynn; for her safety she had to be hidden away. “I wonder though, now that they’re safely hidden, if they can perhaps enjoy some of the things in life she wouldn’t have had they stayed here,” Susan asked, half to herself. She hoped that perhaps one night Zander took Bay to an open mic night, or even karaoke in Brazil. Something that they could be themselves at, and not have to look over their shoulders at all times.
“Andy, remember I am a Muggleborn,” Susan replied with a giggle, pulling out a camera. It was an older mode; digital models still went a little haywire around magic, but it wasn’t a huge camera that her great-great grandparents had used for family photographs at least. “Let’s try and do a selfie; where I turn the camera so the lens faces us and we take a photo,” she suggested, scooting in closer to Andy. She held the camera at an angle and placed her finger on the button. “Ready...one, two three, smile!” she exclaimed, smiling as she snapped the photo. She placed it back in her lap as the photo printed from the bottom slot of her camera; she waved the film back and forth to make the photo appear. Glancing down as it became more clear, she smiled. “It looks great,” she declared.

Andy nodded as Susan spoke. "Yeah... I'm sure he's forcing all kinds of fun things," mostly just like... baking and stuff like that. Zander was pretty G rated. Andy shook her head, "hard to talk about this," she reminded. Since they had to be so secretive and all! It made things difficult. Susan then pulled out a camera, giggling as she reminded Andy that she was a muggleborn. Of course she had one. Duh. Andy shook her head at the thought of not ASKING Susan first if she had one.
Susan explained this selfie thing and Andy nodded, scooting closer as well. At the last second, Andy wrapped her arm around Susans shoulder to pull her even closer, and smiled. She tried to make it genuine... not wanting to look fake for Bay. Or Zander. She kept her arm around Susans shoulder and leaned over Su's lap as the picture printed. Once Susan was done waving it around, it developed. Andy grinned, "wow that's... I don't think I've ever really seen a picture of myself," she realized. "I mean... not one recently, anyway," she leaned forward a little more to get a better look. "My gods. I look terrible," she muttered. Was she really that thin?

Susan hadn’t thought of one aspect of taking a photo with Andromeda; how much her appearance had changed over the past few months. “No! You don’t look bad!” Susan said quickly, putting her hand over her friends and squeezing. “Well...okay, I’m only saying this because you’re one of my best friends, but you could do with a few weeks more of good, hearty food,” she said, figuring Andy would rather her be honest than to skirt around the truth that was the haunted features that looked out of place on Andromeda Lestrange.
“I think staying with me for a week over the summer might do you some good too! I am royal after all, so I have access to the best Muggle aspects of life. Like high class spas, clubs, and of course there’s the queens library.” Susans’ eyes glittered at the memory of that library. It was a spectacular beauty to behold; she planned on showing Lysander it when he came to visit as well. She was happy to have such good friends willing to come visit her. She wondered if they fully understood the aspect of her royal status, but she treasured they treated her like a normal girl. “But until then, I suppose we’ll have to deal with Phil treating you like royalty,” Susan said faux sadly, nudging Andy with a small giggle.

Susan protested, saying that she didn't look bad. Susans hand felt reassuring, but more than that her words of truth were reassuring. It was true, Andy could use that. "You'd think at Hogwarts, of all places, I could pull that off," Andy chuckled, shaking her head. "I just... I'm not that hungry," she admitted with a shrug. She really wasn't either. Though, she would soon find that all of her boxing training would change that appetite. Or rather, the lack of one.
Susan suggested that Andy staying with her over the summer would be good and Andy slowly slipped into a smile, especially at seeing Susans reaction to her memory of the library. "I would like that," she admitted softly. Then the words of Phil, and a sweet nudge of kinship came and Andy grinned, nodding at Susan. "If there was any story of a woman who did not deserve a man, it would be this one," Bay would have argued with that, of course. Bay would have argued to the ends of the earth that she did not deserve Zander.
