Susan giggled a little. “It is true, if they somehow do not feed us enough during meals the house elves are more than willing to oblige our every cravings at any point in time,” she agreed. She had certainly taken advantage of this during her Prefect rounds this past year; sometimes she forgot to head down to dinner. The house elves were more than happy to get her a steak and ale pie complete with chips with vinegar all over them. Susan knew it of course was not the healthiest option for her to be eating, but she didn’t care when she was ravenous with hunger. That was another thing she and Andromeda could do, go to a local pub and sample some of the great English pub cuisine! “Well I’m sure my mother will prepare a fantastic dinner to welcome you to our home your first night, you’ll have to eat then,” Susan said teasingly. Obviously if Andy didn’t want to eat nobody would force her to, but her mother would probably become curious. That was the last thing Susan would want; her mother to be curious about Andromeda’s background.
“Oh stop it Andromeda Karina Lestrange; you and Phil are perfect for each other and you know it. You are the yin to his yang, the flower petal to his stem…” Susan trailed off, waving her hand impatiently. “I’m sure you get the picture, but you balance each other out perfectly. It was what I had hoped I had with Casey, but…” Susan sighed a little. Her breakup hadn’t been brought up yet, but since they were talking about significant others, she supposed now was as good of a time as any. “Casey and I split up,” she admitted softly.

The house elves really were quite good at helping students out, especially when it came to hunger. Andy grinned and nodded, giggling a little but not commenting further on them. Then Susan spoke of her mother making a lavish meal and that Andy would have to eat then and then Andy really smiled, "I would love that, Su," she said, her brows furrowing a little. She didn't know why the thought of Susans mother making her food was making her so emotional but... it was. It was nice to think of someones mother wanting to make her happy. It was nice to think she had friends she was close enough to who had those mothers who wanted their kids friends around.
Susan started to protest Andy's comment about Phil, saying all sorts of things Andy had heard a million times, but that didn't make it any less true. Andy chuckled, but then her smile quickly died as Susan started to say that's what she thought she had with Casey. Then Susan said it out right, that they split up, and Andys brow furrowed even more. "Susan, I'm... I'm so sorry. When?" Andy couldn't imagine breaking up with Phil. Just the thought of that made her throat feel dry.

Susan smiled cautiously; she could see some kind of reaction stirring within Andromeda when she mentioned her mother. Being friends for awhile, Susan always knew that her home life before moving in with the Longbottoms had been pretty rough at best, and that was being generous. Susan had suffered horribly when her father had been murdered, but at the very least her mother loved the four Windsor children fiercely. “Hey,” Susan said gently, reaching out and taking her friends’ hand. “My mum will be thrilled to have you for as long as you want. Now that Wills’ back in the thicket of royal politics, we’re given the same level of...assistance that the other royal family are given,” she explained, a smile quirking at her lips. “For the first few years after my fathers death, we were in hiding, so we lived pretty meagerly. But then once we were discovered by Hogwarts, my mum slowly began reacclimating to society, which I think has been good for her. Hiding, even for just a few years, really wasn’t her way,” she said softly.
Susan shrugged at Andys’ sympathy; when it had first happened, she was so sure she was going to collapse on her bed in a puddle of her own tears. She had dutifully collapsed on her bed, but found to her surprise that the tears did not come. Casey was a good man, a kind soul, but in the end they realized their differences were just...too much. Susan needed someone who could understand the life she was born to yes, but also separate that from the Susan she had become at Hogwarts. “About a month ago,” Susan responded quietly. “I’m alright though, it was for the best. We were both busy and just….not meant to be,” she explained, shrugging again. She sighed; there was something else too of course, but she had barely spoken of it to anyone. Andy knew how to keep a secret though. “There's something else. A few weeks before we broke up...Lysander kissed me,” she admitted, looking her friend right in the eye.

Andy was a little surprised when Susan took her hand, just because she was wrapped up in her own mind. Susan spoke about how she could stay as long as she wanted and how Williams involvement made their family a little more involved. She spoke of her fathers death. Of hiding. Of her mother again. Andy felt jealous. That they could all hide together, instead of the way she had hidden herself alone. "I can't wait to meet her," she said softly, trying not to give away any hint of jealousy. Susan would understand either way, though.
At the topic of Casey, Susan just shrugged. She said it was about a month ago, but that she was alright. The words not meant to be hung around Andy like a poisonous gas. Were her and Phil 'meant to be'? Was anyone?
Then Susan admitted something Andy didn't expect. Lysander kissing her. Andy blinked, then stared into Susans eyes too, trying to search for some kind of answer to her next question... "And did you enjoy that?"

Susan smiled. “And she cannot wait to meet you. She always keeps telling me I should bring more friends around, so this out to subdue her,” she replied with a giggle. Braelynn had been to her home one summer, but she was legally dead to the outside world. It had hurt to tell her mother that lie, even though it was for Bay’s protection, but Hannah had been sorrowful at the news of the fellow Ravenclaws demise. “Bay was the only one who ever came over,” Susan admitted. She had been too shy to invite anyone aside from her to the massive apartments she shared with her mother and siblings. At school where she could be Susan the Ravenclaw, nobody treated her differently, but at home they had servants who referred to her as Miss Susan or Lady Susan, and after the school year it was just weird.
Susan didn’t answer Andy right away when asked if she enjoyed her kiss with Lysander. Her first response of course had been shock, and then wondering if it was cheating on Casey, to that was her best friend - would their friendship be ruined by this? But as time went on, and Sander started avoiding her, she began to feel a longing tugging sensation in the pit of her stomach. She missed him of course, but it was something more than that. “More than I ever told him,” she finally admitted in a small whisper.

Susan said that Bay was the only one to meet her mother and Andy frowned. Now Susan was 'dead', so that must have been a sad thing to share with her mum. She was glad that Susans mother was excited to meet her, though. She wasn't as amazing as Bay, of course, but she was a friend to Susan.
Susan answered Andy, whispering, saying that she did enjoy it more than she ever told Sander. Andy's brow furrowed. "I think you should tell him," she said softly, turning her hand around in Susans to give her friends hand a squeeze. "Nothing good ever came from telling secrets." She knew that all too well. She smiled at Susan, "come on, let's go ask the House Elves for some ice cream," she suggested, standing to pull Susan with her.
