RUBBER GRINDYLOW NUMBERS In a small barrel of water are rubber grindylows, similar to rubber ducks. On the bottom is a number between 1-10 so pick a number and how many tickets you receive will be based off of a number generator.
Open: Thursday Cost: 2 tokens Tickets: 2-10

Zaire wasn't quite sure why he came out to the carnival today. He hadn't been since it'd opened up and he was bored enough today and because he couldn't find anything better to do he'd come down to Hogsmeade. Upon entrance to the carnival, he'd been given a few tokens to spend but he didn't think he was going to find any of the games interesting enough to try them out. He'd been strolling around and looking at all of the weird people dressed in costume when one of them approached him, pretty much accosting him and forcing him over to their booth. The booth consisted of a few barrels filled with water and the carnie looked at him expectantly. Zaire sneered at the carnie. "I don't want to play your stupid game," he stated. The carnie continued to smile in a way that was incredibly creepy and just all around too cheerful, pretending that Zaire hadn't said anything, and continued to gesture towards the game. Zaire narrowed his eyes, shoved his hand in one of the barrels, making quite a bit of water splash onto the ground, before taking one of the rubber toys out of the barrel. He realized the toy was a grindylow and he grimaced at the stupidity of the game.

This was an odd one, that was certain. She pursed her lips s she approached, looking at the little rubber grindelows. They were actually kind of cute! She wouldn't mind having one of her own. However, she also wasn't very good at keeping things that she acquired. She much preferred to collect people and memories. So, she pushed that thought aside and stepped up, dunking her hand into the water, which felt nice and cool on her skin, and pulled out one of the little things. She read the number and shrugged, showing it to the official. She had no idea if it was a good or bad number. But, either way, she knew she was in need of more tickets AND more tokens soon, so she could play more games and collect prizes! Number Drawn: 3SUZIE

Another day at the carnival and Zita had pretty much gotten the lay of the land down for where each game she wanted to try was. It was still pretty early in the day too so the lines for certain rides hadn't gotten too long yet. She'd ridden a few before she decided she wanted to give a few games a try. She'd seen one the previous day she'd been here called Rubber Grindylow Numbers and had wanted to know what it was all about. She retraced her steps in her memories, only making one wrong turn, before she showed up to the booth. She was the only one there. Hmm. Must not be that fun of game if there wasn't even a small line forming for it. She looked at the few barrels that were sitting there full of water, looked at the carnie who smiled at her happily, and then shrugged her shoulders. Why not? She would get some tickets out of it so why not give the game a try? She gave the carnie a few tokens before she reached into the barrel and grabbed one of the grindylow toys. Looked at the bottom of it, she spoke out her number to see how many tickets she had won.

Royal had finally gotten around to getting food, which meant that his hunger was no longer making him angry. However, as with any good meal, he was feeling a bit lethargic afterwards, and he wasn't keen on the idea of having to do a lot of moving, even if the most moving he would do was throwing or kicking something. He was wandering once again, looking for low-energy games not because they were easy, as he had at first, but because they were all his body was capable of without slipping into a food coma. When he saw the barrel of rubber grindylows, Royal knew that he had found his kind of game. He made a beeline - a very slow beeline - towards the barrel, and then plucked one near the edge out so that he could see the number at the bottom and how many tickets he had won for his laziness.

As much as Rosie had been enjoying the previous games that she played, this was a game that she knew she would enjoy, it was all based on chance. No skill was required and if she lost it couldn't possibly be her fault or have embarrassing reflections upon her. As much as she loved Divination, she wasn't gifted enough to be able to cheat, and she wouldn't want to. Where was the fun in cheating in a game of pure chance? The odds were already fairly in her favor that she would walk away with any amount of tickers. And if not, she could chock it up to the chance. Rosie marveled at the little toys, they were so cute. She picked one up and turned it over. She showed the number on the bottom to the carnie working the booth and waited for him to announce her results.
Number on the bottom: 2 Ali

Plucking a rubber grindylow out of a bucket seemed like such a waste of her time, and yet it was so very simple. And she had the tokens, and, well, she was at the stand already. The carnie's smile should too many teeth - a bit creepy, and she knew creepy - so she handed over the tokens, pulled up her sleeve, and smoothly pulled one of the things from the bucket. The carnie gestured at her to flip the grindylow over, and she showed him the 6 drawn on the bottom. He accepted the grindylow back and handed her some tickets. Great, what was she going to do with those?

Dominick was roaming around the carnival when he came upon yet another game that reminded him of when he was younger and attended carnivals. There wasn't many people at the booth but he didn't necessarily want to blame that on the game. It wasn't that exciting but he'd always liked it enough when he was younger. He got into the short line that was mostly filled with younger children and he instantly felt a little weird. It was a childish game that didn't require much skill. It did require a little bit of luck but he figured that it was like it had been when he was younger; you always won something. Just before it was his turn he looked at the barrels that were sitting around full of water and watched at the child that had been in front of him walked up to it and drew their toy out. He realized that instead of being ducks like they'd been before, they were grindylows. He grinned before he approached to take his turn. With a quick hand, he reached in and pulled out his own toy, reading the number on the bottom of it to the carnie running the booth.
