The sun was almost down, and the sky was painted bright red. It made Royal shudder a little, the red on the black... But he still had tokens, which meant that he was still obligated to stay in the carnival, despite the fact that the crowd was rapidly thinning at the booths shut down and the carnies shooed people away so they could get a good night's sleep before sunrise the next day. There seemed to be only one booth that was still open, but most people seemed to be passing it by in favor of exiting the carnival. Royal decided to approach, glancing at the cost. Three tokens. He had... four tokens. Which meant that he was going to have to come back the next day, and find a cheap booth! Royal groaned a little. He hated this false sense of obligation that he had. In any case, Royal was allowed to give the wheel a spin, and he did so half-heartedly. Just like everyone else, he just wanted to go home.

Games of chance were kind of Adonias thing. She liked taking control of situations, sure, but she also liked chance as well! It was fun to now know what was going to happen next. That's why she decided to spend three of her tokens on this Wheel of Fortune. She spun the wheel and watched with wide eyes, waiting to see what kind of prize she would get! She was excited even if she didn't win anything that good, this feeling of anticipation was enough fun for her! She liked watching the spinning colors, and wondering what her fate would be. Maybe she should let other things handle her fate more often, since this was a riot! And an adrenaline rush! SUZIE number: 9

Liona strolled around the area where most of the games were for a bit just to see if there was anything that caught her eye today. She'd seen many of the games yesterday of course and she'd played a few of the ones that seemed interesting enough but it was possible her tastes had changed today. Strolling around she saw one booth, titled Wizard Wheel of Fortune, and she paused. She could see how good her luck was today. If she did good on this game, she would stick around to play more games like it. She figured this game would be an indication of her overall luck for the day too and if she won a lot, she would do one of the things she had been too hesitant to do. She took a deep breath and walked over to the carnie before handing over her tokens. Staring at the wheel, she focused energy from the atmosphere on it and hoped for a good outcome before she gave the wheel a spin.

Imogen was continuing to move through the carnival with a sort of lethargic curiosity. There were some games that looked interesting. but none quite interesting enough to make her fight through the crowds to get into the line to play them. When she was walking, though, a carnie tapped her on the arm, grinning broadly as she gestured to the large, multi-colored wheel that was standing nearby. Both of Imogen's excuses - the one about crowds and the one about lines - were moot, because the wheel was right there, and there was no line. The carnie looked enthused with the fact they had managed to get her attention, and Imogen decided that she would humor the other woman by taking a spin. Imogen fished out a few of the tokens that she had been given upon her entrance into the carnival, and handed them over, before gripping onto the edge of the wheel and giving it a mighty spin.

Royal hardly remembered having spun the Wizard's Wheel of Fortune before, but apparently the carnie that worked there remembered him, because he was greeted enthusiastically when he sidled by the wheel again, looking for something to do. He had continued to run into some Durmstrang girl, which wasn't fun, per say, but it was more interesting than playing the games he had already played before. He was half-hoping that she would show up and whisk him away from the carnie's eager smile, but apparently that wasn't meant to be. Royal gave a polite smile back to the carnie, who had apparently also remembered that he had been less than enthusiastic the last time he had played the game, and insisted that he give the wheel a good spin, as opposed to just a regular spin. He had to clench down to keep himself from rolling his eyes, but did as was asked of him, and gave the wheel a whole-hearted spin, so that he couldn't be accused of slacking off - though why the carnie cared, as long as she got his tokens, Royal didn't know.

Being on a date made Jamie feel rather giddy about... well, everything. The games that she had passed by while canvassing the carnival earlier looked suddenly more interesting, event he ones that she had declared she was never going to play. The Wizard Wheel of Fortune wasn't a game, exactly, but it was one of the activity that Jamie had declared was uninteresting. Leading Liona through the carnival, though, Jamie couldn't help but stop at the wheel. It seemed so much glitzier now, its colors impossible bright and the lights sparkling at the edges somewhat entrancing. Jamie stopped and offered the carnie her tokens, spinning the wheel with obvious glee and looking over her should at Liona as she did so. She was hoping that the Slytherin's early good luck kiss would still have some potency, because Jamie had seen something in the prize booth that she wanted to get the other girl, and if she got enough tickets, then Jamie would do just that. It all depended on where the wheel stopped, Jamie thought as she watched it slowly tick down until the wheel announced her prize.

Some of the games that Maria had taken Viola to over the course of the day were games of skill, mostly ones that involved throwing something at a target of some sort. The Durmstrang student was quite perturbed to discover that they didn't actually have that great of aim when the aiming didn't involve their wand, so when they passed by a game that didn't involve any sort of skill - only luck - Viola jumped on the chance to play it. The wheel was rather garish, if they did say so themself, but then again... most of the carnival was garish, which might have been Maria was enjoying herself so much. Viola preferred more subdued colors and sights and noises, but Maria definitely liked the big and bright and bold. Viola hadn't even been able to people watch, thanks to the fact that they were there on a date, and not on their own. Their primary concern was making sure Maria was never bored, and never without them. Viola would hate to be the reason that Maria added a carnie to the series of notches on her bedpost. In any case, Viola stopped long enough to spin the wheel of fortune - hey, wasn't that one of the Muggle television shows her mother watched sometimes? - and see where it landed.

Wheel of Fortune sounded easy enough, even though Jess didn't understand why Wizard needed to be in the name of the carnival stall. It was literally exactly the same as the ones she had seen on some of those Muggle game shows. Maybe it made some of the purebloods feel better about it? Regardless, Jess was game to play, so she handed over her tokens, reached up, and spun the wheel hard.
