To be honest, Penelope loved to talk with her sister. Her and Kinsey got along so well. And Penelope loved to talk about her music with any of her siblings. ”We usually practice once or twice a week, but with the end of the semester coming to an end, it's starting to wrap up.”
Penelope smiled at her sister when she pulled out her music and instrument. ”I’m glad.” Kinsey was probably used to hearing Penelope practice new sheet music. But to be honest, Penelope liked to show off a little when performing in front of people. Penelope stood straight, pulling her shoulders back. She always seemed to have the best posture when she played. Once she finished the song she looked at her sister, letting her posture slack a bit once more. A huge smile came to her face as her sister praised her. ”Thanks. This is one that I bought in Hogsmeade, so I’ll be able to practice and play it at home. Its supposed to be much faster, but I need to get my muscles used to the sequence of notes before they can go much faster.” She looked forward to practicing more, and playing more of what she wanted during the summer.

Kinsey nodded when Penelope explained that they normally practiced a few times a week. That was good, right? Consistent? Well, her sister was definitely improving with her violin, not that she wasn't impressive to begin with. A part of Kinsey wished she knew how to play an instrument, but she didn't and she really wasn't about to start now. After her sister was done playing and Kinsey complimented her, the girl practically beamed and Kinsey couldn't help but return the smile. She didn't spend much time around her sisters- or really anyone for that matter- but she was glad that she could still help Penelope smile, even if it wasn't very frequently. She smiled, "I'm excited to hear you get even better with it during the summer," Kinsey commented. She then paused, not wanting to leave, but also feeling like it was probably time. "Well, I don't want to make you late for class. See you around?" She asked curiously, though she was entirely sure that she would be seeing her sister, even if it was only after they got out of school. penelope raisa bainbridge

Penelope had gotten a lot of compliments this semester about her playing. These compliments came from various places and many different people. It made the young girl feel really good to know that she was continually getting better. But she knew the hours of practice that she did each day that helped her get better. ”I hope everyone else is as excited as you are.” Penelope loved to practice, but she did understand that some people didn’t like the constant repetitive nature of working on and memorizing sheet music. That was the main reason why she didn’t practice in the dorm. Penelope hated that it was almost time for the rest of her classes. She wanted to stay in this room for the next few hours, but she knew what she had to do. Penelope carefully put her bow and violin back into her case, along with the sheet music that she had played for her sister. After placing the violin back in its spot she turned around and nodded to her sister ”Ok, I’ll see you around Kins!”

Kinsey rolled her eyes, teasing her sister when she said that she hoped everyone else would be alright listening to her practice. "If they're not, you can come in my room and I'll put a charm on the door so they don't have to listen to it, but it's beautiful so I don't know why they wouldn't want to listen to it. Your music is soothing." After her comment about classes starting soon, Penelope started packing things up and Kinsey smiled. At least she knew that the music wouldn't keep her sister away from the classes that she needed to attend, not that Kinsey would do anything if Penelope decided to skip. Interfering was something Cara would do and Kinsey refused to resemble her older sister. "See you Nelly!" Kinsey answered as she turned and walked out of the room happily. --- the end --- penelope raisa bainbridge
