Anna wasn't fooled for a second when Cecelia nodded that she was alright. She was nervous about something. At least, that's what Anna thought. The girl looked anxious and nervous, which meant that Anna would talk to her about it later. Right now, in front of a big group of people, was not the place to talk about what was going on with her. They were in the middle of a bunch of people, all gathered together to discuss something else. At least Anna and Cece were in the same house. There would be plenty of time to talk.
As everyone in the group spoke, Anna watched them all. She nodded at a lot of the things that were said, but also made sure to make eye contact with the people that weren't talking as well. There were quiet a few of them there, so it wasn't like everyone could talk at the same time. Anna also glanced behind her to make sure Cecelia was alright. She was biting her lip, but other than that looked alright. Anna offered her a small smile before turning back to the people who were talking. Being a leader, she had to pay closer attention than everyone else.
She nodded when Al commented about the food and then spoke up a little, "And since some of us have mentioned needing to protect ourselves, is there any specific way we want to do that?" Of course, she knew their parents did that with Dumbledore's Army, practicing different spells and such, but she didn't know if other people would be interested in doing the same thing. She nodded when Al brought up how they would communicate with one another, not giving an idea yet. While she and Al were in charge, she wanted the group to make decisions and come up with the ideas.

Cecelia listened as the rest of the group suggested that they keep an eye out for anything suspicious. That was frustratingly vague, especially since Cecelia knew how Elaine operated, and she was much better than flying under the radar than anyone gave her credit for. She had been on the run from the Ministry for the past months, and they hadn’t seemed to have gotten any closer to her, despite the fact that Elaine was barely running. She was still near enough by that she had been able to conduct meetings, both of the group and personally. And even if they did manage to find something suspicious, how were they going to fix it? Cecelia got the impression that Phoenix Rising was far out of its depth. The Purifiers had skills, equipment, and endless funds. Phoenix Rising had a lot of grit, but that seemed to be about it. “It doesn’t matter if we’re looking for suspicious things if we’re all looking in the same places.” Cecelia offered quietly, unsure if anyone beyond Anna would actually be able to hear her. Looking at the room, it seemed that there was more Gryffindors than any other house represented, which was all well and good, but the other houses were in just as much danger, if not more. It was easy for people to look out for their friends, but who here was going to be watching how the younger children behaved? Who was going to be looking after the people they had already written off as “evil”?
As for potions and poisonings, Cecelia had to agree they were going to be a problem. She once again reverted to biting her lip when Albus said he was disinclined to worry about them due to the house elves being involved. Not all sources of contamination came from the kitchen – it would be easy to slip something into someone’s drink if they were distracted enough. And assuming that the kitchen, and the house elves within, were impenetrable was a strategic foible. The Imperius Curse was illegal, but what had ever stopped the Purifiers from doing illegal things before? It wasn’t like there was constant supervision in the kitchens to keep the elves safe. Cecelia didn’t think Albus would appreciate being contradicted, though, so she continued biting down. She had already spoken out once, and that was more than she expected of herself. They could figure out the communication thing without her.

"They already have messed with the food, Al." Roxy said, trying hard to hide her annoyance at her cousin saying that the house elves would be enough to protect them from poisoning, "that's literally what I just said. Mass poison, maybe not, but individually we have to be alert." Communication, though - no one had said anything yet, so she would tap into those Weasley troublemaking genes because she had a few ideas. "Communication could go two ways, really. Three, I guess. One is the same way we all got here - just the gossip wheel sort of way." Not terribly effective, but that was pretty obvious - that was why they were discussing it in the first place. "The second is some kind of symbol somewhere a bit discrete but still pretty easy that says 'we have a meeting' whenever it shows up." It might be easy to miss, but it would be hiding in plain sight, and there was a lot to be said for that sort of a strategy. "The third is something that all of us have on us. The way Dumbledore's Army did the galleons." It would have to be something a bit different or it'd be obvious to anyone with a grasp of history, but it had a lot of potential. Roxy sat back in her chair, and waited for the rest of them to respond. Rozalina Antonina Nightshade due 9/2, i think?

Anna was taken by surprise when Cecelia made a soft comment, saying that if they were all looking in the same places for suspicious things, it wouldn't make a difference. Well, that was definitely a good point, but she wasn't really sure if everyone heard her comment, so she decided to repeat it a little longer. "Cecelia has a good point. She said that us all looking in the same places won't help us find suspicious things. Any ideas of how we can look in different, maybe unexpected places?" She was excited to hear any ideas the group might have.
She nodded at Roxy's comment, "I definitely think staying alert is a good idea," she said, feeling like it was touched on enough and not wanting her cousins to argue the subject more. She paused for a moment and thought, "I like the two second ideas. I think it would be more effective to do the last one though, where we can choose something that all of us have and use it to tell us when we meet. Any ideas of what we should use?" The group wasn't being particularly talky, but Anna wanted to give them the chance to be as involved as possible. If they didn't have anything to say, she'd start making decisions, but otherwise, she wanted to keep things open.
