[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] It's too cold outside For angels to fly [attr="class","itokaytext"]Madison decided that she needed to catch up on her homework. It was pilling up in mountains and she was no where near in completing it. She already had classes to go and for once she hated being a sixth year. Loads of work and lots to catch up on and less time. She often wondered how she would manage in her future with her work. She shuddered at the very thought of being stuck up in paper work. That was part of the reason why she wanted to take up a job as a professional quidditch. No paperwork at all. She sighed and brushed her thoughts away and decided to study for the upcoming potions class. She just returned back fro ma class and with the potions text book in her hand she entered the common room. She didn't know why but studying in the common room was not a good idea for her. As that particular day it was so noisy and a buzzing with energy. She shook her head at the attempt of trying to read and put her book back in her bag and made a beeline for her dorm room.
As she entered the dorm room, she did not expect any of her dorm mates to be in there. It was the middle of the day and there would be no reason for the others to be in here. And thus, Madi did not look around and instead crashed onto her bed groaning "ughh I hate my life" she muttered loudly.

@kyles1 Jessie took the liberty of a having a lay-in afternoon, once her classes for the day had wrapped up. She loved her bed, and she almost loved it more than she loved socializing. Who was she kidding, there was nothing she loved more than talking to people. Laying on her stomach, her head resided at the bottom of her bed. Papers and textbooks lay askew near her, in a way that might appear unorganized to some. The only remaining assignment she had was a Charms essay, and it was already partially completed. She had an easy time finishing Potions, and Herbology. The two were considerably easy, and much needed for her future career as a healer.
As her dormmate, Madison, slinked in, Jessie found herself grinning ear to ear. "Oh come on now. You don't hate it. You're gonna be on a professional team, and thanking Merlin for the life you have." It went without saying, Madison was gonna be a huge Quidditch star one day. Hopefully she would remember her. Free tickets would come in handy one day. Besides having a sparkling future, Madison was just plain fun to be around. Jessie hadn't noticed before, but now as she took the time to look around, she noticed various unfinished assignments and papers around the blonde's trunk. "Do you want some help? I fly through Potions and Herbology," she offered, a kind smile taking residence on her lips.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] Its too cold outside For angels to fly [attr="class","itokaytext"] Madison didn't expect anyone to be there much less to listen to her complaining. And yet she was surprised at her short sightedness in not seeing Jessie. These two have been in the same dorm room for the past six years and even now she finds it quite surprising at the bubbling nature of the girl. While Madi too iz on that side, you usually don't see Madi trying her best to make everyone feel happy. That was not who she was. But Jessie on the other hand makes an effort to make others feel happy and that was what her words did to Madi at that moment. "I love you Jessie darling. You just know the words to make my sorry self feel better " said Madi with a wink. She may on her stomach, and turning to Jessie she spoke, " besides, I don't hate it, I mean how can I hate it? But it becomes stressful at times" as she pulled her hair away from her face and into a ponytail. She saw her kitten Sugar comfortably sleeping on hey pillow. Aww the cute one, she thought as she stroked its fur and left it alone to relax.
Help, yes that sounded perfect. Potions on top of that, yeah she could use some help for sure. "Potions please. I still didn't read the textbook and now I don't know if I want to " she admitted sheepishly. Potions was not her best subject but it wasn't her worst either. But apart from charms she is okayish in the rest of the subjects. And then she saw something outside the castle which caught her eye and distracted her, which happens a lot. She saw a few students flying and Madi smiled wistfully, " I wanna go flying, but I have work to do, essays to write and lessons to read. Can life get any more complicated than this? " she asked to no one in particular.

@kyles1 "I love you as well," Jessie replied, a small smile on her lips. "Well, I don't think any of us can hardly hate it. I mean, in Muggle school it's different. The lessons we are given aren't promised to be used in the future. The functionality of the knowledge you learn is completely based on your career path. But here, in the Wizarding World, our lessons have a purpose. We learn what we need to, for a basis, and then we move onto lessons that will aid us in our future career. You're constantly learning for the purpose of use. Not just learning to learn. But it's nice overall," she babbled, letting every ounce of her brain's thoughts on the matter ooze out.
Jessie flinched when the taller girl mentioned that she hadn't read the Potions textbook. "Merlin, Madi. That's ballsy. I'm honestly quite surprised Professor Constantine hasn't called you out on it yet," she said, shaking her head with bewilderment. "I'll use my wand and highlight the important bits of text in your copy. That way you don't have to read front to cover."
She snorted when Madison asked if life got more complicated. "Just wait until we get our hearts broken, or we have to make choices that we don't want to make, concerning friends or love. One day, we are going to be wishing all we had to worry about was flying or homework," she said, a shy smile on her face. "So let's live it up. Right now, we have the chance to be happy without too many outside forces."

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] [attr="class","itokaytext"] Madi grinned widely at the words and relaxing back. She picked up the other pillow and listened on for the next minute or two when Jessie decided to become Prof Meadowes. I think that it was an unspoken rule among them, to just sit back and listen to the other person when they speak. It was quite obvious that what Jess was speaking was something she has done her research on, or at least she gathered her info. And as she listed out the points, MAdi found herself nodding too. She might not be a muggeleborn but Madi's mother was a muggle. In the end, she just teased the girl "I understood it Prof" but she smiled showing it that she genuinely meant it.
As the other girl mentioned their professor, Madi groaned and said "ughh please not here. I don't want to listen to the name itself much less about the subject today."She then propped against her pillow and said "besides, did you forget that I am quite good at the subject? It's just that today, my interest doesn't seem to hold me together. my mind gets diverted in all directions." She sighed loudly and decided that she had better start on her potions, or as Jessie said prof would have her in detention. As the girl offered up her help, Madi blew a kiss in her way and said "did I tell you that I love you a lot?" and sent her book towards the other girl so that she could mark it up allowing Madi to read it that night.
As Jessie mentioned broken hearts, Madi frowned a little at it. Immediately she was reminded of her brother. "Broken heart, eh? I don't know about you, but for my heart to be broken, I should first give it to someone right? And I don't think it is gonna happen any time soon"and sighed. While a good many of her friends have boyfriend or at least have been in relationships, Madi on the other hand held a clean slate. She never had been onto any dates nor had she ever been in arelationship. It was as though she was invisible to guys all around her. And suddenly she spoke out loud "wonder when a guy would notice me?" As Jessie mentioned about worrying, Madi nodded and said ain't that the truth. And I wish I have that life to. You know, no regrets just happiness and lots and lots of fun times and moments to look back on." Jessie rolled her eyes in a good-natured manner, when Madison called her 'Prof'. She threw a pillow at the girl, and laughed. "The world would wilt away without my wisdom!" she declared. As she caught the levitating Potions book in hand, she grinned. "Yes, but I don't mind hearing you repeatedly profess your love for me. It's not like anyone else does." She set the books down in front of her, and grabbed her wand. Jessie illuminated each important section, chapter, and potion that they had covered so far that year. When the blonde asked when someone would take notice in her, Jessie cast her eyes downward. "For once, I don't have an answer for that. You, of all people... I don't understand how you're single. You've got a bright future, and, not to mention, you're just plain hot," she relayed, casting her friend a meaningful look. "I promise you're worthy of it." Truely, Jessie didn't understand why Madison wasn't in a relationship. As for Jessie herself, she thought she had an idea. She talked too much. Worried too much. She thought it came off as childish, driving away any potential suitors. "I wish we could all go back to not worrying. The tournament, and the carnival, helps a bit. But I think we are just avoiding talking about what's going on outside of these walls, as well as inside," she sighed, the horrific events flashing through her head. "I don't blame everyone though.. For wanting to forget. It's all just too dreadful."tagged:@kyles1 | word count: |

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] you can be my guided light [attr="class","itokaytext"] Madison giggled at her friend's antics and when she received a pillow in return, she caught it easily. Smirking she said "you should never throw a pillow at a chaser". At her words, she nodded in mock seriousness and said "of course". And the she said dramatically, "all hail the queen of wisdom, sorry Athena of Greece you are being replaced". And unable to hold it in any longer, Madison just laughed out loud. "You Jessie Meadows are my personal favorite among all the people". As Jessie replied with a yes, Madi just giggled and said "good. Because I'll repeatedly keep saying it to you". As Jessie commented about not hearing it from anyone, Madi sighed as she understtod the feeling all too well. She slowly added mostly to herself, "and it's not like I could say it to anyone else too ".
Upon hearing Jessie's words, Madison understood that she spoke out loud, accidentally." And so are you, and you are much better company than me". But she could not agree more with Jess's words. May be she was arrogant upon agreeing but that was the truth. She was sweet and kind and hot ,yeah she would be blind to not after to that. " Well, I guess guys don't like it if the girl talks too much " she said with a sigh. And that was something Madison knew would be the most likely reason. She talks too much. And while some find it cute which is mostly her friends and family, others plainly get annoyed or bored. At Jessie's words, she gave a small smile and said " aren't we all!?!? ". Both the girls have never been in a relationship and while Madi knew about herself, she couldn't understand how someone sio sweet and helpful and lovely and not to mention breathtakingly beautiful as Jessie couldn't get a boyfriend till now. May be it was time to rectify that. She'll have to sleep on that thought.
Madison nodded at the truth in her dorm mate's words. Not only her, everyone is trying to forget about the incidents which happened last year. There was too much pain and worry in getting to remember them. She herself had gotten worried sick that she can be a target. Considering that Madison's mom was a muggle, she was likely target. And not to mention Jessie was a muggle born and that gave Madi enough reason to worry more."Yeah, it is. I just wish that we could spend time normally, but it doesn't seem to possible at all. "

Although she hadn't dated anyone before, she felt an unwavering sense that it was possible for her, and that some day, a conversation would be struck and love would fall shortly behind it. That being said, Jessie grew more impatient as the days and months went on. And she wasn't too happy to be waiting. She made the most of it, however. She took the time to see her friends, and stayed on top of her homework load. Jessie sighed, allowing only a moment more of the 'feeling sorry business'. "Okay," she began. "Let's stop feeling sorry for ourselves. We are way too cute for that. But, you can hand me another textbook, and we can talk about boys. Because there is surely someone you find attractive," she said, handing Madison her Potions book back. "Start with the quidditch team. I don't know Sav all to well, but that rear end of his.. Yum."notes:

Madi was not the one to feel sad or such, but she definitely did not like to wallow in self pity, which was exactly what she was doing right now. And it would seem that Jess felt the same thing too as she spoke. "Yes of course, I mean we are much too sweet to worry about our lack of love lves, when we have soo much to talk of. I mean we are not tied down, though I would not feel it as such when i am actually in one. But yeah, single life means checking out guys as we wish with no amount of guilt" and winked at the girl as she giggled a little. It was true though, Madi can be quite the flirt if she wants to be and there were certain people she always enjoyed her time with.
As Jess handed back her potions book, she sent a flying kiss and said "thanks my dear darling". As she asked for another textbook, Madi waved off and said "text books later"shesaid tossing back the book and leaning forward, with her hands on her pillow, she said "we are talking about boys." And it would seem that once again the girls share a common idea of how to spend time effectively. As Jess asked about her, Madi sighed and said "well there are a few, but then again nothing in between us has ever happened."As Jess mentioned about Sav, Madiosn sighed dreamily and spoke "now that is a guy I would love to get my hands on. Well at least I can get to flirt with him all the time"as she winked at the girl. "But tell me Jessie, when did you get a look of the handsome? Huh? Something you wanna share"asked Madi as she wiggled her eyebrows.

With a great sigh, Jessie turned onto her back, and gazed up at the ceiling. "Oh, I haven't been up close and personal. But, he is one remarkably attractive lad, isn't he? Plus.. He's kind. We haven't talked much, but he has a gentle nature. Besides, I would never have a chance," she scoffed. There wasn't much she knew about him, besides that he had a twin, his mother was the head of their house, and that his dad and mum were no longer together. That was rather public news. There were very few boys that Jessie thought she had a chance with. Not many could put up with her bubbly attitude. Rejection was something she feared too often these days. Whether platonic, familial, or romantic, rejection was harsh regardless of how it was served. It was one of the main reasons why Jessie went out of her way to make sure everyone felt included. It was never a good feeling to be on the outside, looking in. x

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] am I meant to be something? [attr="class","itokaytext"] As Jess began to talk of Sav, Madison nodded as she listened on.. And then she added "he is 'the gryffindor hottie' in my opinion". The two have been up close quite a few times, but nothing ever happened. May be she wasn't the type of girl he is looking for. And while he was perfect in her eyes, she too never felt that spark. May be they were n't meant for each other. And being the ever romantic reader, Madi believed in such things, when others would label them as silly and childish. And in some ways Madi was childish and may be that was why no guy ever has thought of her as such. Well, no use moping around about her non-existent love life. At Jess's comment about her not having a chance, it was Madi's chance to snort. "Oh please Jess you do have a chance. It's not as though he is taken. And as long as he is free, everyone has a chance" except me she added in her head silently. Somehow she knew that Sav and her would never work out. They had a few chances but neither took them up.
And it was not as though she has never been on dates, yes she has been on many dates.. err awkward dates, hell she had quite her share of them. Mostly those would be the guys who have seen her and decided to ask her out, without even knowing a thing about her. And some had disastrous results, and those mostly happened when her brothers were at school. People kind of felt intimidated by their presence. Which made Madi laugh considering that she is the bossy one among the trio of siblings. After all those times she failed to get herself a successful date, one would be of course worried. It was not that she was not beautiful, in fact Madi could say it out loud that she was the most beautiful witch at Hogwarts or at least among the top. But that aside, she was not prejudiced or was she bossy. Okay may be she was a little bit bossy, but that was only in a few situations. And every other time she is the perfect witch, and in fact people should be delighted to have her on a date with them. But alas, that was not the case. It would seem that she has a curse of some sort preventing good times to even look at her. And the good few guys who manage to tolerate her presence have girlfriend's or are crushing on someone or they are not interested in her. And considering that the population in Hogwarts is tripled than the usual, Madi kind of hoped to get herself a boyfriend who would look after her for a change or she would just continue to her job as the mama bear, looking after her little cousins. Great and comforting thoughts, she thought with a shake of her head. It was not good on her part to think of negative things like these. 'Love and friendship come from unexpected places and times' she said out loud quoting her mother's words from last summer. She was just waiting for it to happen.
