Sav listened to his younger cousin speak about her friend. She seemed really worried that she wasn’t going to get the support from her family in order to live out her dreams. Sav understood. He knew that his mother supported him, but at the same time, he also knew how much she wanted him to put Quidditch and athletics on the back burner and focus on school. Something that he would never do and had long ago given up. He got the necessary marks in order to pass his classes, but that was the extent of his willingness to compromise. “I think that your friend likely doesn’t have anything to worry about. Most parents just want their children to be happy, and wouldn’t be upset if they wanted to take on a less stereotypical career.” he said. And while he was pretty sure that he was right and his aunt wouldn’t get upset with her daughter if she said that she wanted to be a performer, he understood that the fear of disappointing parents, even if you knew they wouldn’t be disappointed was a crushing weight. Sav wasn’t sure if Asha was talented enough for what she wanted, not that he doubted her, he just had no idea, he had never really paid attention to it, so he supposed if her parents knew that she was talented, they would encourage her to follow her dreams anyway, like his parents mostly did with him and Quidditch. His father always encouraged him, not that he cared what his father thought anymore.
