you should know you're beautiful It was a Hogsmeade weekend and the students from school have just started coming. Diya knew that she was in for a day full of standing and working. While on a weekday, she wouldn't have to do much and the same applies for the weekends too. But the only exception was the Hogsmeade weekends. Luckily for her, she was a part time cashier and she would take up the alternate weekends so as to keep it even. As she sat down in her chair, she took out her sketch pad and began to sketch out some random designs. It was something Di does during her free times. She would often use her spare time to put together new designs. While her designs weren't popular or trending, she did enter into a few fashion designing competitions over time and won a few times. But she was still a long way from being known as the best designer. And she was dreaming of designing her own brand of clothing. At times she wold just sit and think of what the wizarding public's needs are in terms of comfort clothing and fashion. As Diya sat behind the counter, very much immersed in her sketch pad, she failed to notice someone entering the shop. Well that was not something she was concerned with usually, and her job as a cashier doesn't cover that part, but today she was supposed to be on high alert considering that the flow of customers would be more than usual. And since she was not paying any attention to who walked in, she missed noticing their presence until they were right in front of her and tapped on the table which caught her attention. Dropping the book on a nearby chair, she spoke up "yes, how may I help you?"without even looking at who it was. TAGS : @ OPEN NOTES : feel free to drop by ! open for students and adults <3

The family meeting at the Three Broomsticks had just concluded and Alice found herself having an extra sweet tooth after Philip had brought she and her adoptive sisters chocolate. Alice figured since she was already in Hogsmeade, she may as well make a stop into Honeydukes for some more chocolate before heading back to the Cauldron to study for her portfolio. The Hufflepuff alum walked into the candy store, thankful that the rush hour of students had not yet hit. She searched for the chocolate that Philip had grabbed for her and when she found it, she headed up to the counter to pay for her sweets.
When Alice reached the counter, the cashier was looking down at some sketch pad. Alice set the candy down and stood there for a moment until the cashier didn't seem to notice her. Alice bit her lip, not wanting to be rude so she gently tapped on the counter to sort of announce her presence and the cashier looked up at her. "Hi, I'm... I'm ready to check out," Alice declared looking down at the chocolate she had set on the counter. As she did, she couldn't help but then glance at the sketch book that the cashier had set down on a chair beside her. If this had been a year ago, Alice probably would have kept to herself or minded her own business but the Hufflepuff alum and really changed a lot in the last year and she was far more outspoken than she used to be. So, she decided to ask the girl about her sketchbook. "Are you... an artist?" It probably wouldn't hurt to make conversation since the shop was not yet busy.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] You know I can't fight the feeling. And every night I feel it. [attr="class","itokaytext"] It was not as though Di purposefully avoided her job, it was just coincidental that she got caught up in her designs. And these happen a lot of time for her. As she looked up to see who her customer was, and found a blonde witch who pointed her towards the chocolate she had brought. Di smiled a little and said "right of course, just gimme a second"she said and began to calculate the amount of money the whole lot costed. Just as she was about to tell it, she found that the other one was looking at her sketch-book, and Di just let her be. They were just casual dress designs she made and it was not an international secret or anything for her to instinctively duck and cover them up. When the blonde asked if she was an artist, Di smiled and shaking her head she said "no, I'm not. Just a fashion designer"and then she proceeded to put the chocolate into a bag and pushing it forward, she added "and cashier of this place. Oh and your bill amounts to 2 sickles"she added the last part with a smile.
TAG: @alice Notes : err, it is a bit on the small side, but it'll get better I hope ! Alice continued to glance at the cashier's sketch book as she put the chocolates Alice was purchasing in a bag and totaled out her amount. Alice couldn't help but admire the work. She was no fashion guru, that was for sure, but Alice could recognize good artistic work when she saw it. She would often sketch doodles in her own creature study journal in her own down time so she couple appreciate a fellow doodler. "Oh," the blonde said when the employee said she was just a fashion designer. "Well, your work looks lovely," Alice complimented albeit somewhat quietly. Alice returned a small smile when the girl told her her total and Alice pulled out two sickles and set them on the counter. "What else have you designed?" She found herself asking. It was so out of character for Alice to continue conversation like this, but Alice was changing. She was growing up and evolving and there was always room for more positive social interactions, she thought.

you know I can't fight the feeling, And every night I feel it While Diya had always been the type to socialize and talk with people, she often held herself back when she was working. She felt that her overly cheerful attitude would put off the customer's and such she just goes on with her work, unless someone decides to strike a conversation with her. Now that the other witch did stat the talk, it broke Di's resolve and she decided to talk, after all there was still some more time left till the students would attack the candy store. When the witch complimented her design she gave a genuine smile, for Diya always liked it when others liked her work. "Thank you, I just can not sit idle and inspiration struck me today"she said, as she took the book from the chair and put it on the counter so that the other witch could see it clearly. Collecting the sickles, Diya put them down in the drawer and looked up when asked a question about her designs. Giving a smile she said, "well, there a few designs in that book" as she turned back the pages to reveal some designs. "A few of them are currently on the racks of Madam Malkin's store, some simple dresses. But mostly I spend my time on inter-cultural designs"she responded back, her face lightened up with the fact that someone was interested in her work, after all. Not that her work was bad or anything. And then with a small inquistive smile she asked "pardon me for asking, what's your name?"And then she thought that it might be rude to not give out the reason for he sudden question and added "it's just that you seem to be familiar is all. And I wonder where I might've seen you, that is all"and hoped that her direct and blunt way of asking did not put off the other witch. TAGS : @alice NOTES : sorry for the late reply
