April was upon them and everything seemed like it was absolutely perfect for Liona. She was feeling in control and on top of the world because of that great feeling that she had. Studies were going great, she hoped N.E.W.Ts would go great in return. And then she'd be on track for graduation and hopefully then, the Department of Mysteries. Not only were things going great academically but socially as well. Things with Jamie were going well, as far as she knew. Her cousin was doing okay. She'd heard from her mother not too long ago and she was on to another movie and she was sure her father was doing okay as well. She couldn't ask for things to be any better.
Potions class had just ended and because Liona didn't have anything to do, she'd decided to catch up with Molly. "How'd you do making that PepperUp Potion? I believe mine turned out relatively well," she chatted easily, a smile on her face at her success. She was good enough at Potions and she liked it just enough to take it N.E.W.T-level. Yet another thing she could add to her extensive set of skills. Other than classes, she hadn't really seen Molly since the Room of Requirement party that Lily Potter had thrown. It seemed like she'd always had something to do since then so it was nice to be able to talk to her now.

Potions was over. Finally. Granted, this class hadn't been as bad as some of the others, but Anna was always exhausted when she got to the end of a period in there. It just took so much attention to make sure she got exactly the right ingredients in the right order and in the right size, stirring the cauldron perfectly. At least she made it this time without any major debacles. She'd stirred it the wrong way once, but her partner on the table caught her before it made the potion too bad and they corrected the mistake quickly after.
As she walked away from class, Anna was surprised to hear a familiar voice and turned around, smiling at Liona. "Well hello there." She shrugged, "I did alright. It definitely isn't the worst potion I've ever done, but it wasn't the best one either." She made a face when Liona said she thought hers was well-done. "Of course you did well. You always do, Liona." Anna rolled her eyes, continuing to walk along. "So how've you been the last little while? We haven't talked much lately." She and Liona got along fairly well and Anna enjoyed talking to the girl, they just often didn't have enough time to talk with one another much.

Liona had already known that Potions wasn't one of Molly's best subjects. Somehow she had made it to up to N.E.W.T.-level though so clearly she had been doing something right in the class. She probably just wasn't giving herself enough credit. At Molly's eyeroll and, what Liona was taking it as, compliment, she placed a hand over her heart. In anyone else, it would have been a joking gesture, but for Liona, she couldn't deny the truth Molly had spoken. "You're right. My brilliance knows no bounds," she grinned at the red head. "I'm sure your potion was perfectly fine though." At Molly's question about her well-being, Liona was thoughtful for a moment, a smile appearing on her face again. She'd heard that the third task was coming up so she was certain the champion had been busy preparing for that. "You're busy. I'm busy. There isn't much time to talk when we're both respectively dominating our current tasks." there was clear amusement on her face as she began speaking, "I have been wonderful though. Everything is going well. Time seems to be speeding up and before we know it we'll be graduating. How about you? How's your friend?" Liona gave Molly a knowing look, clearly talking about her boyfriend. She had yet to meet the guy and still hadn't even gotten around to asking Molly about him.

Liona's self-compliments made Anna laugh, leaving behind her pretend annoyance with her friend. Honestly, Liona always had been good at potions. Expecting anything different was laughable, though she was taking it a little bit far. "Right. No bounds," Anna teased, then gave a small nod. "I hope so. I think I followed almost all the directions exactly." That was Anna's true struggle in potions. Exactness. She often skipped over a line or something and that made her not do as well as she should do. At her question Liona smiled again and Anna shrugged at her comment. "True, but now that we are talking ..." she interjected before her friend was totally finished, just to tease her. Liona then answered her question. Wonderful, huh? Did that mean she figured things out with Jamie? Anna was about to ask when Liona turned her question on her. "I've been doing well. Studying a bit, since I don't know what the last Task is going to be, but I feel more relaxed about it now, which is nice." At the thought of Oscar, her smile widened. "He's great. Really supportive and sweet and great. Have you ever met him before? And how is your ... friend?" She returned the vague question, knowing Liona would know who she was talking about. Jamie.

Liona snorted at Molly's teasing. She knew she was brilliant. Liona could accomplish anything simply because she had the intellect and the power to do so. And by power, she meant money. Money was a powerful asset after all and it opened doors that were normally closed off to most people. Those things coupled together gave her an advantage over most, one she wasn't afraid to use. "Almost all of them? What did you do," Liona commented, focusing on her interesting word choice. She'd specifically said almost all of the directions so at some point she must have made a mistake. Maybe the potion hadn't turned out so well after all. At her question, Molly took the time to explain that she'd been doing well and she felt better about going into the third task of the tournament and Liona nodded along in understanding. "No I haven't actually met him myself. I haven't had the chance and I don't want to approach him without a reason. It's nice to see you happy with someone. How did you meet him, anyway," Liona replied to her question. She didn't know anything about her boyfriend and she didn't have any reason to know him other than the fact that he was Molly's boyfriend. Maybe Molly would introduce her at some point but she didn't find it necessary to go out of her way to speak with him. Molly brought up Jamie, using the same phrase she'd used, and Liona wanted to reply back that Jamie was more than just a friend. She realized then that they hadn't quite put a title to what they were yet. Liona smiled instead. "She knows who I am. She doesn't hate me. And we were together at the Room of Requirement party. I think I can say she, as well as we, are doing well," she gave a genuine smile as she spoke. She would have to bring it up eventually. Did Jamie think of her as her girlfriend?

Anna laughed when Liona caught the "almost" in her words. The truth was that she hadn't done well at the potion, but she might have made a decent one. "Well ... I think I stirred it the wrong way ... and I might have put some things in there in the wrong order on accident," she confessed. If it were anything else, her slight errors probably wouldn't have made a difference, but the important thing in potions was paying attention to detail, which was the one thing that Anna always seemed to have a problem with. That was the reason she did so poorly in the subject. It was rare when she could complete a potion without making at least one mistake somewhere. She was used to that by now. Anna smiled when Liona started talking about how she hadn't gotten the chance to talk with Oscar. "Well if you want to I can introduce you two. That way you wouldn't have to try and approach him without having a reason." She paused for a moment, remembering how the two met. "I ran into him in the hallway and ... well, we got into a bit of an argument," she admitted, blushing a little. "I actually never wanted to see him again after that, but we kept on running into one another and became friends. Then we just ... became more than that." The whole process took a while, but she loved every moment of it and while she knew that it might sound weird to people how they became close, but Anna didn't care. She smiled when Liona started explaining that things were going better between her and Jamie. "I'm glad, Liona." Anna told her honestly. "You'll have to tell me all about it sometime." She would push for her friend to tell her now, but she didn't feel like Liona would respond well to that, so she'd give it a little time.

Molly laughed a bit before she answered Liona's questioned. She stated that it was possible that she not only stirred the potion incorrectly, she also added in ingredients in an incorrect order. The redhead hadn't claimed Potions as her worst subject for no reason, Liona could see. "Molly," there was a notable sigh in Liona's tone as she began to reply to the Gryffindor, "I think it's rather lucky that we were mixing something tame today or else you might have ended up in the Hospital Wing." Her ending words held less of a sigh and more teasing, though she meant the words fully. It was a wonder she'd made it to N.E.W.T level Potions making potentially dangerous mistakes like that. Molly made her an offer of introducing her to her boyfriend and Liona could do nothing but be polite. "That would be lovely," she smiled. She didn't want to but if she had to she would. Liona laughed as the redhead explained how she'd gotten involved with her boyfriend, who's name continued to escape her. As she told it, the two of them had gotten into an argument. In her own experience, it wasn't a great way to start off a relationship. Of course, their argument could have been much lighter than the one Liona had struck up with Jamie and therefore left a larger space for them to bond. The way she described it sounded a bit nonchalant with just a touch of dreamy. Liona grinned at her. "So cute. Would you say you love him or are you still working on that part?" she asked the question suddenly, just to see what she would say. She didn't even know how long the two had been together. They'd only gotten together this year, obviously. Was that long enough? Did she think it was long enough to fall in love with someone? "It was as bad as I thought it would be actually. It wasn't pretty," Liona commented when conversation turned to her relationship with Jamie. Just remembering it made her want to cringe.

Anna rolled her eyes when Liona called her Molly. From anyone else, she would probably try to fight that, but she knew there was no use when it came to the Slytherin girl. No matter what Anna did, Liona called her by her given name. "I know, I know," Anna insisted, shaking her head as Liona chided her. "I got distracted. Not a lot, but enough to make mistakes that I shouldn't have. I just ... it's so hard to focus on nothing but a potion for an hour and a half." She could do it and sometimes she did well in that class, but that was the exception rather than the rule. Apparently she had "potential" but needed to figure out how to apply it. Anna wouldn't say so or even admit it to herself, but she didn't think she'd ever figure that up. Anna nodded happily when Liona said it would be nice to meet Oscar. "Alright. I'll figure something out and let you know," she said with a firm nod. With how busy she'd been lately, though, Anna was aware that it might slip through the cracks. "It might take a while though ... I'm kind of distracted lately." There. Now if she did forget, Liona shouldn't be offended. Then Liona asked if Anna loved him and she gave a small smile. She knew that she did, but she hadn't really told anyone that she was in love with him yet, except for Oscar himself. "I do. I love him," she said without hesitation. "Is it going better now or are things awkward?" Anna found herself hoping that things were going alright with the two. She liked both Liona and Jamie.

Liona held in her laughter when Molly rolled her eyes, more than likely at the fact that she'd called her by her given name rather than the words she'd actually said to her. Liona actually really liked her name, Molly, but the redhead seemingly hated it and didn't like it when other's called her that. Liona knew that she rather liked going by 'Anna' but Liona never called her that. And yes there were people who thought that was rude of her but Molly could never hate her, even when she did make the mistake of calling her Molly. "I can understand that," she nodded after the Gryffindor was finished explaining, "Staring at a potion can get boring after long." Even she could admit that she got bored of the task sometime. Some of the potions that had too many steps made Liona lose her interest. Liona then found herself chuckling when Anna stated that it might take a while for her to set up a meeting with her boyfriend. "Aren't we all? Whenever you find time though. There is no rush." She was polite but she thought her words may have pushed the idea too much. It really wasn't important. If she did remember the task and got around to it, Liona would go but she wasn't eager to meet him. Molly then stated that, yes, she did love him and Liona smiled happily. The sentiment was strong in her voice she said the words and Liona couldn't help grinning. "Good. What is he going to do after graduation? I'm assuming he doesn't live near. Will he move? Are you going to follow him?" she asked curiously. When conversation returned to her and Jamie, Liona nodded and soft smile on her face as she pondered how to answer. "We're working through it but the awkwardness level is low. It's much better but we are working on it." She wasn't really sure how to continue. They were still in their beginning stages so there wasn't really much to comment on. She hoped for the best.

Anna grinned when Liona said that she could understand Anna getting distracted. She wasn't actually sure if her friend understood because she knew Anna's restless nature or because it actually got boring to her sometimes ... but she figured it was the former, considering how often Liona did very well in potions class. Being more like Anna would mean struggling a bit more in the subject than she actually was. "Well I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks so," Anna commented lightly. It really was a bit of a relief to her that Liona would say that, even if she wasn't one to get distracted. Of course, Liona didn't mind the idea of a meeting with Oscar that was later on in the year, and Anna was a little relieved by that. Adding more and more things to her to-do list probably wouldn't be such a good thing for the Gryffindor. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for being so flexible Liona." Really, Anna wished that she could do more with her friend, but it was harder. The further along they got in school, the busier they both were and the harder it was to really spend time with one another. She thought a little at the next question. "I think ... well he said that he'd stay in London ..." That was what he said all those months ago, didn't he? Anna couldn't quite remember. "It's been a while since we last talked about that," she admitted a little sheepishly, "but I do want to stay close to him."Really, Anna couldn't imagine life without Oscar. It would be hard, after spending the last few months with him so nearby. She didn't want to have to deal with that. Even talking about it made her feel a little anxious. She nodded as Liona started explaining how she and Jamie were working through the stress. "Well that's good," she said, unsure of what else she could say. She wanted both of them to be happy and if they were happy together, then she was excited for them. She didn't know if she should ask more questions about it to Liona or not, so she just paused for a few moments and thought.

Liona snickered at her comment about having someone who could understand. It still didn't make Liona wonder any less why the redhead continued with the class. If it had been something that she had no interest in, she would have given it up long ago. She knew that it was a requirement or becoming an Auror, but she also knew that Molly had no interest in becoming an auror anymore so she didn't quite need the subject. "Are you still going to sit for the Potion N.E.W.T. since you don't particularly need it now," she decided to ask. Students did have the option of not sitting N.E.W.Ts if they didn't want to. They were used to job selection so if students didn't have any career plans after graduating, they didn't need them. Not that she didn't think Molly wouldn't have any aspirations after school. Liona continued to listen as Molly talked about her boyfriend's plans after graduating and she was a little bit surprised, though admittedly pleased when she said that he'd planned on staying close. She still sounded a bit unsure when she said it but the fact that he'd said it at all was interesting. Such a short amount of time and he was ready to uproot his life. He must not have anything worth back where he came from. Which made Liona even less enthusiastic about meeting him. "How romantic if he does decide to stay here. Would you move closer to him if he asked?" It wasn't if magical transportation didn't exist but it would be a hard decision considering how close she was to her family. There was a tiny part of her that wanted her to say no just because it would make it so much harder for Liona to see her. They didn't get to see each other much now and they went to school together. It would be much harder with her in another country. "Has she said anything to you? Just curious?" She wasn't trying to make the conversation about her and Jamie, honestly. She'd run into Andromeda Lestrange not too long ago and have found out that pureblood was best friends with Jamie and Jamie hadn't told her yet. She'd told Molly herself about the two of them but Liona wondered if the blonde had spoken to Molly about them.

Anna grimaced when Liona asked if she was going to take the N.E.W.T since she "didn't need to." She knew what her friend meant. Since she wasn't really planning on being and Auror now, was she going to take the exam? Anna shrugged, "I don't know?" What should have been a statement was definitely a question. "I mean, I'm no good at it, but potions is a good N.E.W.T for most jobs ... but the question is whether or not I'd pass. If I pass, then it would probably be a good thing to have, you know?" She moaned, closing her eyes. "So I basically don't really know what I should do." She wasn't really asking Liona, but maybe the other girl would have a helpful suggestion or something. Anna smiled and nodded as Liona continued the conversation about Oscar, asking another question, one that Anna hadn't really considered before. "I'm not really sure. I mean, I haven't really thought about it at all because Oscar said that he was planning on staying closer to me ... but yeah, I probably would move closer to him. If he asked me to." Wow. That was something she definitely did not expect, but thinking about it ... Oscar meant that much to her. He was definitely worth it. She was pulled out of her own thoughts when Liona asked it Jamie mentioned anything about them to her. Anna shook her head, "No, but we haven't really talked in a while," Anna admitted. "I normally talk to you more than I do her." Anna liked Jamie plenty, enjoyed spending time with her, but the two weren't super close.

"Personally," Liona started thoughtfully, "I think you should sit for it anyway. Like you said, it's a good N.E.W.T. to have for most jobs anyway. What's the harm? Minus the stress that comes with studying for it, sitting for it won't be so bad. If you sit for it and pass, you'll have an extra score for when you do settle on a career. If not, it won't harm you." Liona explained her thinking on the matter to Molly, which was similar to her own thought process. Not passing it wouldn't hurt her considering she no longer had interest in a career that required the N.E.W.T. Not sitting for it at all, however, would guarantee that she doesn't get a score. "That's just my opinion though. You're free to ignore it." Anna started off sounding a bit unsure of herself when she began answering Liona's question about moving closer to her boyfriend. The more she worked it out thought he more sure she sounded of herself that she would be find moving closer to him. That made Liona pause a little. She would actually miss her friend if she decided to move away. Molly was easy to talk to and Liona genuinely enjoyed her company. It would be much harder to make time to see her if she did leave. She didn't say that much out loud. "I know that he'd a Beauxbatons student but where exactly is he from? Does he like where he'd from? You can't move out there if he doesn't like it himself," Liona laughed a bit as she asked the question out of curiosity. Molly spoke then and confirmed what she'd already expected, though it really wasn't that big of a deal. She did grin when Molly said she talked to Liona more than she did Jamie. One Gryffindor that the blonde hadn't gotten close to? She would have figured differently considering it was Molly. "I didn't know her and Andromeda were close. I saw her a week or two ago," Liona wasn't sure how much to divulge of her run in with Andromeda considering it had been rather odd. They'd met heading to the Hospital Wing and Andromeda had acquired an interesting gash by interesting means. It wasn't her story to tell.

Anna nodded when Liona commented that she thought Anna should take the exam. "That's what I was thinking. It can't hurt me, but it could help if I do better than expected. Maybe I can force myself to focus for just a few hours," she added hopefully. Anna wasn't entirely sure she would be able to do it, but figured she might as well try. She rolled her eyes, "Your opinion does matter to me, Liona. You know that." It was one of the interesting things of their friendship. They weren't very similar to one another, but Anna trusted Liona and felt like the other girl trusted her as well. "He's from France," Anna answered, somewhat vaguely. "I'm not entirely sure which city. He doesn't really like to talk about his home there," she admitted, then she nodded, "Yeah, I don't think he'd want us to move there, but if he does I would." She shrugged a little, "but I don't think I'll be leaving so soon. You'll still have to put up with me whenever we run into each other." Anna nodded when Liona admitted that she didn't know that Andy and Jamie were close, "Yeah they are. I haven't seen Andy a lot lately though," she commented with a small frown. She was so busy with studying and the tournament and Oscar that she felt bad for not being there for her friend as much as she should be. Her eyebrows furrowed, "Did you guys get the chance to talk?" Anna asked curiously. Maybe Liona would know how Andy was doing ... not that it made up for Anna being a lame friend.

Liona nodded along with her as Molly replied that she might be able to focus long enough for the exam. "If you need help, I offer my servies," she replied with a smile. She could study for that one a bit more while helping Molly study as well, though she didn't really need to study for the exam. She was doing perfectly fine in the class and expected the N.E.W.T. to be no problem for her. She was curious as to what potion they would ask them to make, considering that N.E.W.Ts weren't long periods of time and there were many potions that took months to make. Maybe it would only be a written exam instead of a practical exam but she hoped it wouldn't be that. She would rather do something more hands on for the Potion N.E.W.T. At Molly's words about Liona's opinion mattering to her, Liona rolled her eyes and laughed a bit. "I don't know if that's quite true because you're still bothered by the fact that I call you your given name when I've insisted multiple times that your given name is perfectly lovely," the Slytherin teased in a bit of a sing-songy voice. They'd had this conversation more than a few times and Liona was still convinced that it was silly she preferred to go by another name. Granted it came from her middle name, which they both shared. Liona found herself laughing; Molly stated she would still have to put up with her because she didn't think her boyfriend wanted to move. "I think I can manage that perfectly well," She was a little bit relieved she wouldn't be moving away though. Molly then suddenly asked her about Andromeda, and Liona wondered about how close with her the red head was as well. "Just a little bit. Are you close to her as well?" she tried to remain a bit vague with her answer because, again, it wasn't her story to tell. Andromeda didn't need anyone in her business. She was dealing with something personal, it seemed, and Liona wasn't the type to spread something like that around.
