Yadi watched as Lucia followed Olive over to the case where the ice cream was displayed and smiled. He could see how excited she was about it and it looked as if the cafe carried quite a few flavors so he knew she would want to try every one of them. They had time to so if the cafe would let her, he didn't mind. "Actually ice cream isn't my thing either. Lucia loves it every once in awhile though," he commented once she was done putting her order in. Looking at the menu himself, he didn't know if he actually wanted to order anything. The cafe specialized in ice cream and that definitely didn't equate to having any good tea. She had been there often, she had said. "Do they have any good tea?" he turned to her and asked. Meanwhile Lucia’s eyes were practically bulging out of her face because she was so amazed by how many flavors the cafe had. The glass was cool to the touch and if she concentrated hard enough she could already taste the cool treat.

Angie, who worked at a tea shop almost everyday of the week, had strong feelings about most drinks. She had tried all of them that Madam Puddifoot's served, and she had even concocted her own versions of them in order to suit them better to her taste. But she still was more of a fan of coffee than of tea. However, she’d rather have an iced tea than an iced coffee. She preferred any cream based drinks warm and the more bitter, acidic drinks cold. “Uh, well I have to admit, I’ve only tried their iced tea with lemon. I couldn’t tell you if anything else is good, but I can’t imagine it would be particularly awful.” she said, wishing she had done more research on where to take them after the game. She hadn’t known, of course, that he liked a cup of tea after his games, and she had no way to have known. But, she still felt like she should have been more prepared. Olive and Lucia seemed to be enjoying their visit with the muggle behind the counter who continued to hand them little spoons with single tastes of various flavors on them. “I want the straahberry chocolate, please, as big as you have.” Olive told the woman, having made her decision long ago, but wanting to cheat the system a bit in order to get a few more bites of ice cream. “Yep, the biggest two-scoop cone you have.” Angie clarified. Olive sighed a little, obviously hoping her mother might not hear.

The answer she gave didn't make him feel any more hopeful about the drink selection but he knew it would probably make her feel uncomfortable if he didn't order anything. To save her from that, he ordered an Earl Grey, something he knew they couldn't mess up. Earl Grey wasn't on the list of his go-to teas but it would suffice post-game. Once he placed his order, he sat back and watched as Olive and Lucia tried out numerous flavors of ice cream on little spoons. Then Olive asked for a strawberry and chocolate cone, adding in that she wanted the biggest one they had. Both he and Lucia chuckled when Angie corrected it, saying that she could have a cone. "That sounds really good. I'll have that too!" Lucia added in directly afterwards even after trying as many flavors as she had. He assumed it was because she couldn't really choose so it was easiest picking what the younger girl had. He knew that Angie had brought them there to treat them but he felt uncomfortable with the idea of her paying for them. He didn't want to assume her financial situation but he had much more money than he knew what to do with so he didn't mind. "Is it okay if I take the bill?" he asked then, thinking it better to ask even though he would insist it.

He ordered a tea though maybe reluctantly, but at least he ordered something. The two of them sat down and waited for the two girls to make their decisions at the ice cream counter. Lucia put in her order, the same as Olive had ordered and the two girls were shortly handed their towering cones over the counter. Yadiel asked if he would be allowed to take the check and Angie shook her head. “Oh please let me take it. You’ve been too kind to us already. Really it’s fine.” she insisted with a lovely smile, handing over the bills before he could get to his wallet. She, as well as he, was aware that he had more money than her, but that didn’t mean she was comfortable letting this man, who was still as good as a stranger, pay for everything for her and her daughter.

Yadi took a seat and watched the two girls receive their towering ice creams. Lucia had a look of wonder on her face that he often saw when she got ice cream or some sort of treat and amusement showed on his face because of it. He was so busy paying attention to the girls that he realized too late that Ms. Angie was already going to pay for the ice creams. "No it's per--" she handed over the money to cashier and he exhaled deeply. She moved fast. And he really would have rather paid since he was the one that had invited them out to the game anyway. He heard, rather than saw, Lucia chuckle under her breath. "Thank you Ms. Angie!" she said just before she tasted the ice cream, making her face light up a little bit more than before. His tea nor her coffee had been ready just yet so he stayed put in his chair and waited for that. "So what do you do Ms. Angie," he asked conversationally? It was a standard question, conversational and not too personal, especially considering she knew what he did now.

Angie heard Yadiel try once more to convince her to let him pay for their visit to the ice cream cafe, she felt a little badly since he seeme to really want to pay, but she didn’t want to be a burden. She was so used to being independent, she wasn’t used to having someone offer to pay for her like this. Unless she was on a date, then it often came up, but she hadn’t been on a date in a while. She hadn’t dated much since she had Olive, not seriously at least.
Angie had successful paid and the two girls came over to join them, both enjoying their creamy treats. Angie made sure they had napkins on their table, knowing how good Olive was at turning most foods into a facial. She was still developing her clean eating motor skills, and with something as sticky and messy as ice cream, Angie wanted to be able to keep an eye on the drips of her cone before she was covered in the substance. “You’re very welcome Lucia.” Angie smiled when she was thanked. Lucia’s father then asked a question, the man, who didn’t speak too much, was beginning to really interest her. He was fascinating. “Oh, I work at Madam Puddifoot's, the teahouse in Hogsmead.” she explained, her job sounding a lot less glamorous than his. But she did love her job. She loved her customers and she loved her co-workers. She especially loved how flexible it was around Olive’s needs. “It’s a lovely place to work, especially if you like tea and coffee, which I do. And the people and students that come in are lovely company.” she smiled.

Just as the two girls joined them at the table, Ms.Angie began to explain that she worked at Madam Puddifoot's tea shop, the cozy one that had been located in Hogsmeade for years and years now, at least since he'd been in school himself. He'd gone there quite a few times when he'd been in school, by himself and with dates because of its popularity, but it wasn't somewhere he liked to frequent as an adult. The decor could get a little bit suffocating. While the atmosphere in the shop could be comforting, it could also be overwhelming for him. Pressured romance and all. He just wanted to enjoy his tea in peace. "I haven't been sold on coffee yet but I do love a good tea," he said with a small smile on his face just as Lucia scrunched up her face in disgust. She didn't like either selection, even though he'd let her try many of his favorites. She didn't comment though. "How long have you been working there now?" He was honestly curious if that had been something she'd wanted to do when she graduated or if she had gotten the job as a means to an end. He didn't know how to ask it without it coming off as offensive in any way. He understood the need to take care of her child and even still, if tea and customer service was her passion, it was nice that she was able to do what she wanted to do. He'd never imagined doing anything but Quidditch once he'd set himself on the path for it. Even when he looked back now, he couldn't remember liking anything as much as he loved Quidditch.

Angie wasn’t sure how many time she had told the story of how funny it was that she was working there now since she never would have stepped foot inside the establishment as a student. It would have embarrassed her to be seen within the pink, frilly walls, no matter how good the coffee was. She would have said not to any boy who asked to take her there, and instead would insist they sneak into the Hogs Head or at least find a table at the Three Broomsticks if they were uncomfortable with going to the Hogs Head, which wasn’t a good sign in Angie’s opinion. Now she hadn’t stepped into the Hogs Head in years and she didn’t miss it at all, she was happy with spending her time in the tea house. “Everyone has their favorite.” she smiled, she hadn’t liked either of them until she had a child and stopped sleeping as much as she used to. Now, coffee was something she not only needed, but looked forward too every day. A few times a day actually, her caffeine addiction was probably something she should being paying more attention to. “I’ve been there for about 4 years.” she admitted. She got the job there shortly after she found out she was pregnant, except for the few months she took off after Olive was born. And Olive would be 4 in May. “And have you been playing Quidditch since graduation then?” she asked. @yadi ((Olive is 3 turning 4 at this point- btw - I had been doing dates wrong ))

Angela went on to say that everyone had a favorite and with just one look at the girls as they excitedly ate their ice cream, the younger of the two completely preoccupied with the frozen treat in her hand while Lucia ate happily and half-listened to things they were saying, he knew that ice cream was probably theirs. The young woman then admitted to working at the little tea shop now for four years and he was pretty certain that the exact time she worked there would match up to around the age Olive was. He didn't know here well so he still opted not to ask the questions that burned in the back of his mind. It was admirable that she'd done what she needed to do to provide for her daughter. That still left the questions of where her father was in all of this and if he was a part of the young girl's life at all. He wasn't sure why he was so curious about her situation, maybe because she was young and he could relate with her being a single parent. Maybe he could help? Offer advice when she needed it? She seemed to have everything under control though. "Recruited directly out of school. I played in Spain for a while before I came back to the UK though," he answered her question about his career with a small smile on his face as eh reminisced about his time in Spain. His beginning years had been hard but they had been worth it. All of his hard work had gone to practicing and building up his skills. It all paid off in the end and it even got him and his teams to a few championships. "I wish I could have seen you play back then too! I bet there's a big difference in how you play," Lucia commented through licks of her ice cream. Yadi laughed then and nodded his head in agreement with his daughter's words.

He admitted that he was recruited right out of school and Angie nodded. That made sense. She knew several people from her own year that were recruited to a professional Quidditch team as soon as they graduated. She supposed they liked having the young ones on the teams with the veteran members so they could transition down eventually when the older ones were ready to retire. It also probably made it easier to keep the team consistent. “And you’re not sick of it it?” Angie asked with a chuckle. She knew, of course, that he loved the game and was good at it and a mixture of those two reasons were probably why he played. However, she couldn’t help but wonder if it got repetitive or boring after a while. She loved making coffee another drinks, and she was good at it and had mastered a lot of the skills required over the years, but it definitely got boring. However, she couldn’t say that coffee was her passion in the way that he would probably say that Quidditch was his. He mentioned that he had played in Spain for a while before coming back to the UK, Angie wondered if that was where and when he met Lucia’s mother. “I’m sure there is.” Angie nodded in agreement with Lucia. “Do you have any idea what you want to do when you grow up, Lucia?” Angie asked the girl, not that she expected a solid answer, she herself hadn’t even thought about it at Lucia’s age, but Lucia was a much better person than Angie had been at her age. “Olive says she wants to be a healer for animals, huh?” Angie asked her child, who nodded eagerly.

Yadi's mouth twitched into a smile at her question, though he knew she didn't really mean it. It was a question that most Quidditch players got when they played well into his age, how they weren't sick of it yet. "Never. I've worked much too hard to get to where I am now," he said with a quick look over at Lucia. "I started out being bad at Quidditch, so yeah my playing back then was a bit different." Lucia's eyebrows raised and her mouth opened in a bit of an "oh" motion and he noticed she had a bit of ice cream on her face. He motioned to it just as Angie asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up. He had to hold in his laugh because her answer changed every time he asked her."Well I don't know any more. I thought I wanted to be a magizoologist, but I think it would be really fun to be a Professor! Maybe at Hogwarts?" she commented, wiping the ice cream off of her face. He didn't hold back the chuckle this time because she was really pressing Hogwarts now. He would probably have to talk with her mother and see where she was at. He didn't mind her going to Hogwarts but he did think Beauxbatons was a great school and he thought she'd have a better school experience there. "That's actually really admirable Olive. We definitely need more animal healers and I'm sure you'll take great care of the animals," he smiled as the little girl agreed with her mother. "Are you an animal lover? Was it animals for you when you were in school?" The question wasn't unrelated to the other questions he had but it was much lighter and not as personal as the others.

“Oh I can’t imagine you being bad at Quidditch.” the words came out of Angie’s mouth before she even realized what she was saying or had thought about the sentence. It was true, and she felt her face go a bit red after hearing the words allowed. After how he had played today, and given the fact that he was the captain of a very successful, professional team, he had to have been born with so much talent, right? She couldn’t imagine someone starting out bad at the game and then growing so much, but then again, if he truly had, she’d find herself even more impressed by him, however, she decided to think that he was just being modest unless he truly countered her. “Oh yeah, a Magicooholigist,” Olive tried her very best to say the word that the the older girl had brought up, linking that it was a word that meant what her mother had explained in simpler words. There was a reason, Angie thought to herself, that she used the terminology that she did, since Olive was still too young to grasp the complexities of some sounds in the English language, she really struggled with Z’s. however, Yadiel commended the young girl on her decision, which Angie was sure would change countless times over the next dozen years, but Olive had been set on working with animals since she learned what having a job and working meant. “What subject would you want to teach? What’s your favorite?” Angie asked Lucia when she brought up becoming a professor at Hogwarts, remembering that during their first meeting, the older girl had also brought up wanting to attend Hogwarts. “Oh no. I mean, yes, I enjoy animals and creatures now, but in school I thoroughly dislike the subject.” Angela admitted, not wanting to bring up that she honestly disliked every subject.

Angela spoke suddenly; her words weren't spoke loud but he heard clearly what she said and his face erupted into a full blown grin then. It was a nice compliment, one he accepted. He wasn't the best Quidditch player out there, many of the current players in the league now were better than he was and soon there would be new talent coming in that would be even better than those players. Having his hard work acknowledged was a good feeling though. He knew he hadn't been the best player back then but he'd worked hard every day to get to where he was. "I was put as a reserve on the Slytherin Quidditch team because my captain didn't think I was good enough," he chuckled by way of explanation. Had he been captain he wouldn't have even allowed that. Then again, it was just a school team and not a professional one. It had given him a chance to better himself though so he was grateful it happened that way. Olive adorably attempted to repeat Lucia as she spoke, causing both he and his daughter to smile, Lucia nodding in confirmation as if she'd said the word expertly. "Herbology! I love herbology. It's so much fun and I like learning about all of the magical plants," Lucia replied with a grin on her face. That was one thing that had remained constant, her love of herbology. There were lots of things that she liked but she'd loved herbology since her first day of the class. "Understandable," Yadi snorted once she'd replied, "What was your favorite?" Lucia decided to speak up then. "Papa always said that he didn't like Care of Magical Creatures but I don't know why. I love that class too!"

Angie, naturally, caught the look on his face with her first comment regarding his Quidditch playing abilities. She couldn’t help but notice, which she had noticed before, but especially when he genuinely smiled, that he was a handsome man. Even though her comment had been slightly thoughtless, it brought a smile to his face and caused him to into a further explanation. He explained that he been put on the reserve team at Hogwarts for his house, which was also her house. “Well you’ve certainly proved yourself then.” she nodded with a smile. That was something she could identify with. No one had expected that she, being who she had been when she was a Slytherin, would be where she was now. No one would have guessed that she would have been someone with their life together, a child and a very stable job by 24 years old. She knew people that she graduated with who were still living with their parents. She had no choice but to prove herself.
Lucia liked and watched to teach Herbology, she explained, but she loved learning about all the magical plants and found the subject interesting. “That’s very respectable. I applaud you for your interest in plants - it’s a very useful subject. It comes in handy more than one might think.” Angie insisted, she often wished that she had paid more attention in the subject, and in potions. She wished, a lot of the time, that she could brew things at home rather than have to buy them in Diagon Alley, especially when Olive or herself found themselves ill and in need of a quick fix. But she was awful and wouldn’t allow Olive to try anything she made herself. Cooking, she could manage. But brewing: nope! “I was more of a fan of Charms class.” Angie admitted. She had a been an average student, grade wise, in a lot of her subjects, however, she had missed quite a few classes of stupid, childish reasons. Charms, however, she at least found useful, even at a young age. And she was a fairly skilled witch when it came to charms. Lucia then told on her father, saying that he always told her that he didn’t like Care of Magical Creatures class either, something else they had in common. “I take it that your favorite was flying - then?” Angie asked the man across from her.

The younger woman smiled in acknowledgement and gave him words that, to many, would seem like an obvious response. For him though it was high praise, the kind he liked to give and the best kind for him to receive. He proved himself. He worked hard, no one could deny that. Getting recognized for it was one of his favorite things, whether that came in the form of more sponsorships, more fans, or even just like that, with words. He smiled once again and nodded. "Thank you. I appreciate it being noticed," he found himself nodding subtly along with his words. Lucia looked up at him and grinned then through another bite of ice cream and he chuckled at her antics. Paying attention to Angie’s word’s again, she nodded in agreement with her words but gave a bit of a sigh. "I think it’s be more useful if I was better at potions but I don’t really care about potions enough. I just like learning about and being able to take care of the plants," she’d scrunched up her face when she mentioned potions, her emotions about the subject being more pronounced, but she quickly shrugged it off. That was when Angie divulged that Charms had been her subject of choice. Charms was the most practical subject for most witches and wizards because you learned such a wide variety of spells to use. He’d liked Charms and had excelled in learning but it hadn’t been his favorite. With a bit of a chuckle, he nodded to confirm her guess of his favorite subject.. "That too but it ultimately came down to a tie between that, Alchemy and Defense Against the Dark Arts if I’m being honest.." Alchemy was complicated and looked good. Defense Against the Dark Arts he thought would come in useful all things considered. The sound of Lucia gasping caught his attention and he looking in her direction with a bit of worry. Her eyes were directed near the front of the shop where and funny dressed man and woman were performing small displays of magic meant to catch children’s eye and astound them. ”Ooh can we go get closer to it papa?” Lucia asked with a look between him and Angie. He gave a shrug and a small smile of amusement as he looked at Angie for her input. He didn’t really mind but he couldn’t say yes on her behalf. Lucia knew not to stray far and to stay where he could see that she was safe. Unless she was excited of course. She got carried away sometimes.
