“I never had the patience for potions… I wasn’t good at following the directors quite as specifically as we were supposed to.” she admitted. She wasn’t awful, but she really just had no desire to do it, so she had been careless and missed things, or did very small things wrong, or, even got over confident on things she thought that she already knew and thus missed something that she actually didn’t know yet. It was the same with cooking, she couldn’t help but think. She was decent at cooking, but if she was making something that she hadn’t made 100 times before, she had to force herself to really pay attention. Angie’s assumption had been slightly off about the man in question, he did like flying, however, his favorite subjects came down to alchemy and defense against the dark arts, two interesting choices, that, Angie would have never assumed. However, assumptions proved to be a very dangerous game. She wondered why he never did anything with those subjects, or, if maybe he had. It was possible that he was a member of the Order, something Angie herself wasn’t, but she new about because her parents were and had been for ages. Lucia gasped and turned her head, Olive’s eyes quickly followed. Angie turned to look herself and saw a pair of people performing simple, muggle magic tricks, obviously aimed at attracting the kids in the shop. Lucia asked if they could go closer. For a second, Angie almost forgot that were still in a muggle shop and was caught off guard by the magic. Angie looked to Yadiel to see his reaction, he didn’t seem to mind. “Yes - you absolutely must! But remember, they’re muggles, so watch carefully and try to see if you can figure out how they do it!” Angie smiled, speaking about magic and muggles in hushed tones. The two children hurried off, ice cream still in hand, and Angie turned back to the other adult at the table. “I love that those two get along so well." Angie admitted, with a smile as she sipped her coffee.

As soon as the words were out of Ms. Angie's mouth, Lucia gave a happy cheer. "Come on Olive, let's go try and figure out how they're doing it!" she said as she stood out of her chair. Yadi watched the younger girl crawl out of her own chair before Lucia took hold of her hand and they walked up closer to the muggle magicians. Angie spoke then and her turned to her, a clear smile on his face. "Me too. Lucia's has always been good with younger kids though but I think she's really fond of Olive. Her mother tells me that she couldn't wait to see you guys again," his last words came on the end of a chuckle because of his daughter's excitement. Ines had asked him about the two of them because Lucia had barely stopped talking about them before she'd had to take their daughter back to school. It seemed she really liked the both of them but he really couldn't blame her. They were both kind and good company which is why he had invited them both to the game. They'd been equally as kind to him and Lucia. He took a sip of the Earl Grey and tried not to show on his face how much he didn't care for it. It was much more bitter than normal so it was possible that they steeped it for too long or the water they'd used to steep the leaves had been too hot. "Thank you again for being so kind to her. The both of us actually. And for attending the game." he said before absentmindedly taking another sip of the tea, "As well as treating us. Maybe we can get them together again soon and I can treat the both of you?"

Angie helped her young daughter out of her seat and watched as the older girl took her hand and lead her over to the magicians to watch the show with the rest of the kids in the shop. “I’m glad to hear that - really. Olive doesn’t get to interact with magical kids too often. So I’m really glad she’s getting a chance to meet Lucia and learn from her. You’ve got an awfully great kid, there.” Angie admitted with a sigh. She hated that. She wanted it to change but she wasn’t entirely sure how to change it. Olive couldn’t stay in her muggle day care for too much longer, soon, she’d start to show signs of magic and then there was only so many excuses that Angie could make. She needed to find her a private caregiver, someone in their community who could teach Olive about magic, as well as muggle subjects that were important to know, like reading and writing. She didn’t even know where to start with that though. She wished she had more friends who had children. Most of the people her age, the ones she had been friends with in school or even met after she graduated were still childless, and that meant Olive didn’t have a lot of friends outside of her muggle daycare, and even then, Olive only saw those kids at daycare. Yadiel seemed to put on the face of charm, not that he hadn’t been charming before now, but Angie seemed to be extra sensitive to it when it was just the two of them sitting at the table. He thanked her for bringing Olive and coming to see the game and the suggested that maybe they go out again and let him treat. She smiled, “We’d really like that, you're very sweet to offer.” she told him with a soft nod and blushing cheeks.

Yadi nodded slowly, listening as she explained her situation with Olive while still keeping an eye on where both their daughters were. He could only guess why Olive wasn't able to be about magical kids more often but he was still glad that Lucia liked the young girl and wanted to be around her. He didn't say it out loud but he knew if he could she would like being able to see Olive more often. He watched the two of them as they watched the muggle magician; a trick would happen and Lucia would turn to Olive with a smile on her face. Probably trying to get some idea on how the muggles were able to perform their tricks. "She can be a handful sometimes but I wouldn't change her for the world" he smiled and shook his head at her words regarding his daughter. She was a good kid all around. Most of it was just her personality but he knew part of it was parenting and he couldn't take all of the credit. He couldn't even take most of the credit. He and Ines worked together to make sure that Lucia had everything she needed and that she knew right from wrong. They didn't always agree on everything but they worked together to come to a good compromise. He was lucky that way. "I think you've got yourself a great kid too." She then accepted his invitation to meet again, the blush in her cheeks not going completely unnoticed and making him smile a little. He turned just in time to see Lucia and Olive approaching the table once again. "... and I still don't know exactly how they do it but it looks really cool even if they can't do actual magic." He just barely caught the tail end of her words as she talked about the magicians.

“Of course not.” Angie smiled when the man sitting across from her insisted that he wouldn’t change his daughter for the world. Angie knew that feeling so well. There were days when Olive drove Angie crazy and she thought that things would stay awful and stressful forever, but then the next day her daughter would wake up with a smile on her face and come in to give her mother a cuddle before getting her breakfast. There was no better way to start the day than a cuddle from a happy baby. Though, Olive was hardly a baby anymore; a realization that nearly broke Angie’s heart. Angie found herself smiling when Yadi insisted that she had a pretty great kid as well. However, as he was saying so, the children approached the table once again. Olive seemed to have finished her ice cream, at least as much as she was going to, a melted mess remained in the cone and all over her hand and face. Angie took the cone and began to wipe down her child, trying to get the melted sugar from sticking and thus getting on everything else. “Magic is pretty cool, huh?” Angie smiled, asking the girls what they thought of the muggle show. Olive gave a yawn as well as a nod. “I think she’s about ready for a nap… it’s been a big day.” Angie explained, sure that Yadiel would understand.

Just as the two girls got up to the table, Yadi noticed that Olive had ice cream all over her just as Angie began wiping it off. He shared a smile with his daughter even though he was certain his reasoning was different, and Angie mentioned that it was probably time for Olive's nap. "Alright. I think Lucia and I have to get over to my parents' house anyway." They always wanted to see her whenever he had her with him so he indulged them when he could and when she felt like it. Taking a look at her in question, to gauge her reaction, she smiled with genuine excitement. "I'll owl you about next time. I'll plan something. It was nice seeing you again, Olive," he spoke to Angie and then turned and gave a short wave to her daughter. "I hope I get to see you again soon Olive!" Lucia added in. He found himself laughing, knowing that she was pushing for that next time to bee sooner much rather than later. It struck him then that he didn't know how she was getting back home. "Did you need a ride back? I can drive you both home if you're comfortable with that." He'd driven them over to the cafe because of the fact that it was in a muggle area. And because he liked driving. It was an offer though just to make sure they made it back safely.

He agreed that they should probably get going and Angie was glad that it didn’t seem like she was trying to cut the outing short by insisting Olive was ready for a nap. She was always a bit paranoid about things like that. Once Olive was clean and everyone began to say a goodbye, Olive went over and hugged Lucia, though the toddler only really could reach up to her hip level. “Goodbwye, see you soon.” Olive said softly, happy to have made a new friend and role model from the older girl. “I’ll keep an eye out for your owl then.” Angie agreed with a smile, her cheeks gone a little pink. Yadiel offered to drive them and Angie nodded, “Alright. We’re not too far from here.” she agreed, they could walk, however, with a sleepy baby and Angie not having brought the buggy, it was a little bit further than she thought she could carry her daughter. Angie allowed Yadiel and Lucia to drop them off and bid them both farewell. Olive fell asleep as soon as they got into the car and Angie carried her up into their flat the end @yadi
