"Well we definitely can't let that happen, how else will I ever get better at it without you." Daniel said with a slight laugh as he didn't really have a desire to get better at ballet but it hadn't been a terrible experience the first time around. "I know I really could have gone places in the world, after all male ballerinas do get all the girls from what I have heard." He added to her comment about him having potential. Daniel didn't believe it for a second and honestly he would rather have potential in other things besides ballet if he had the choice if it was true.
She said it would probably be in his best interest and he couldn't have agreed more. She had the looks but the personality didn't help her. Nor did he actually want to be fighting other people over someone like her. If this was just her act toward anyone who was a Gryffindor or just everyone in general he wasn't sure. He would assume it was just for Gryffindors though. "Keep using sweetie and people will start thinking it's some pet name. We can't have that now can we?" He followed that with another laugh as he was just joking, she had only used that probably twice now and sweetie was pretty common place here.

"It's a thankless job, but I guess someone has to do it." she shrugged with a smirk. Why was she enjoying herself so much? God Damn it! She wasn't supposed to like Gryffindors. They were arrogant and too brave for their own goods. They were the annoying people that stepped in while she was praying on the innocent, but worthless souls. And they were almost all worthless themselves, as far as she was concerned at least. But this Gryffindor didn't take himself too seriously and knew how to banter. She wondered what house he was in when he was in America and if there was just no translation for where he was placed. Maybe Gryffindor was the closest place, even if it wasn't the perfect place. But then again, she didn't really know him, there could be more to him, she wasn't sure yet if she cared to figure it out.
He said that if she kept using sweetie then people would start to think, and they couldn't have that. Cray rolled her eyes and honestly began to wonder if the boy understood that she was being patronizing. It was true though that she didn't want anyone to think they were together, but anyone who had even heard Crayla's name before would know that she would never date a Gryffindor. She was stubborn. It was the principle of the thing. "I could go back to calling you, American, then." she suggested. "So American... truth or dare?" she asked, raising her eyebrow to the Gryffindor, whose name she still didn't know. If they were going to be talking anyway, why not make it interesting?

Daniel smiled a little while the girl called teaching someone or just him ballet a thankless job. "And just when I was going to bring you a shiny red apple for being such a good professor." Isn't that what muggle kids gave teachers he thought to himself, maybe he was thinking of something else or it wasn't something that happened. Either way it sounded right enough to him and he wasn't going to worry about being right on something as silly as a joke. "Well I didn't mean to make you feel that way Ms.Ballet instructor." Daniel said as he proceed to then bow before her an as over the top way as possible. "I thank you for the lesson." Daniel added as he stood back up with a smirk, maybe he went over the top but she wanted to be thanked and he made sure she was.
The girl explained that she could go back to calling him American once more to keep people from thinking something was going on. He didn't care what people thought and was sure that the use of sweetie didn't mean anything. Still it was funny enough that she went back to calling him that. "It's either back to American or we see this though and I get to use a name. Princess or something, ice queen?" Oh did he expect her reaction to that to be rather good, possibly not good for him who knew with this girl but it was funny to Daniel as he joked with her. "Truth or dare huh? Haven't played that in years." He asked a little curious where this was going, with this girl it was hard to tell but it probably would be as innocent as past games. "Last time dare was my first kiss I believe, I suppose I'll go truth this time just to be safe."

He tanked her. Something that threw her off. She had said that the job was thankless in jest, she hadn't meant for him to actually thank her for it. And that, right there was why he was a Gryffindor. Of course his personality was too good to be true. He always had to be the good guy. What a turn off. She nodded instead of responding. She wasn't too good with things like that, with polite, formalities, especially with strangers. In proper company, Cray was the perfect belle of the ball. But, this American wasn't exactly what she would call proper company. She didn't know his blood status, or his lineage. And she had no doubt that being an American in England had to lower his status a little, even if he had a good family.
"Ice queen. I like that. Queen seems to suit me, doesn't it?" she teased back, knowing that he had meant it as a stab at her ego. "princess is maybe a little too low for my taste." she admitted with a smirk. he chose truth, stating that the last time he chose dare resulted in his first kiss. Yes, Cray would admit, the game was a little juvenile, but it was fun, and fairly harmless at least. "Okay..." she thought of something to ask and then sighed, rolling her eyes. "Why are you here? Why England?" the Slytherin asked.

Daniel smirked slightly as his face wasn't red from a slap after picking some names he could use for this girl. "Why am I not surprised that you'd like it. Besides I did pick the name out for you, why wouldn't I think it suited you?" Daniel asked not really expecting an answer more as a way to reply to her question. "Well of course it would be to low class for you," Daniel replied a little sarcastically as she of course would want the higher position of the names. "At least I have something to call you now." Well besides the few words he had come up with in his head but all of those weren't the most public place friendly.
It would have been a lie if he had said he was expecting that question when he said truth. No he was expecting something a little more insulting from her, nothing terrible but this question seemed a little to casual. Daniel could lie, it wouldn't have been hard she didn't know him or his life so far. Yet he wasn't hiding the reason why he was here from anyone so what would be the point of it. "It wasn't willingly that's for sure. My father dragged him here from American, he moved for a job with the Ministry and I didn't have much choice but being forced to move with him." There wasn't much else to it, no huge secret or back story like some rumors he had heard before. "My turn ice queen, truth or dare?" He tried out the Name at least once, he wasn't totally comfortable with calling this girl a queen but the ice part made it a bit better.

Cray could see in his face that he was surprised with her answer, obviously having expected her to get upset or even physical. She had done so in the past, but as she was getting older she was adopted a more mature way to annoy the crap out of people. manipulation was more her style anyway, it gave her a lot more satisfaction in the act, especially when she knew that she did something that might continue to resonate with her victim a while longer and would plague their thoughts. She knew this wasn't one of those instances, but the surprise on his face pleased her. "Now people might think you're calling me by a pet name. Vicious cycle we have going here, American." she smirked.
His father had dragged him to England for his job. Sounded very similar to what happened to her, why she, the little French girl was in England. However, rarely did anyone ever ask her why she was at Hogwarts rather than Beauxbatons, something she was thankful for. Regardless of her accent, which was a lot more subtle now than it had been at the start of her first year, most students just accepted that because she had been here since year 1 she belonged here. There were a lot of times that she felt like she didn't. She wanted to ask a follow up question, however, he beat her to it, asking her to choose truth or dare herself. "Truth." she said. She wasn't afraid of a dare, however, she was curious what he had to ask her.

Daniel laughed a little as the girl said that now people would think some thing would be going on with what he was calling her now. She had a point if he had cared what people thought of him. They were temporary, all this was temporary till he was old enough to return home on his own. "Oh let them talk, they're just jealous of what we have." He replied with a slight smirk, giving it a pause just long enough for her to probably get annoyed by what he had implied. "Such an amazing student-professor relationship. They wish they had a professor like you." No, no they didn't but they also probably hadn't taken this girls ballet class either.
He couldn't imagine too much harm coming from telling her the truth about why he was here anyway. He had told others, just not someone who he didn't even know their name. Once it was his turn the girl choose truth, he couldn't blame her. She didn't really know him, he could have been some creep and actually tried to ask for a kiss or something like that. Honestly he hadn't thought that far ahead of what he would ask or have dared her if she continued to play. He had a lot of choices of funny things to ask but he restricted himself to things that weren't a little too weird. Her question wasn't so bad so his shouldn't be either. Still Daniel wanted to have fun with it too. "Okay, what's your favorite kind of flower? You can worry about why I ask later." With that she could imagine he was actually going to try and get her some, which he figured would be met with an unpleased reaction to him giving her anything. Sure he could have asked about her name or who she was but this wasn't the game for that right now. Besides she wasn't using his name or seemed to care either, why should he?

Let them talk, he said. That was easy enough for him to say, being seen with her would probably raise his reputation and status up a level or two. However, her being seen with him could cause damage. She didn’t normally care what people thought about her, but if someone attractive and of actually high status had any interest in her, hearing that she was on a pet-name basis with an American Gryffindor could cause serious damage. He clarified after a pause and she rolled her eyes. This boy could be the death of her, she began to ponder. “Keeping me on my toes, I appreciate it.” she sighed. She had told him once not to get any ideas and she didn’t want to have to say it again. “Believe it or not, you’re no longer my only student.” she commented, remembering how Dom Dippit had asked her to show him some.
Out of all the questions that he could have asked her, he asked what her favorite flower was. And the said that she could worry about why he wanted to know later. Immediately the thought of him getting her flowers crossed her mind and she had to actually force herself not to throw up. Commitment and courtship made her sick to her stomach. A part of her knew, or at least wanted to believe that he just added the last part to get a reaction out of her, but either way, it had worked. “Daisies. But don’t go thinking you can bring me daisies and suddenly I’ll use your real name.” she insisted. In order to get out of that mindset as soon as possible, she quickly jumped back into the game. “Truth or dare?”

Daniel smirked slightly as the girl commented about keeping her on her toes with the pause. "I figured being a ballerina you'd be used to being on your toes anyway." Daniel replied with a laugh, not that he said any of that to keep her on her toes. More he expected the reaction of annoyed to flat out disgusted from this girl. Still it wasn't as bad of a reaction as he thought it would be, she was probably ready for the second part like she had said. She also brought up that she now had another student now, not just him. "So you're saying I have competition now for best student? Looks like I'll have to try even harder than before." He had no idea if she was telling the truth or not but if she was he could only imagine the same thing happened to someone else like it did to him.
Daniel's question had the obvious reaction he wanted and it was great. If anything it tempted him to actually get her flowers now. Not because he was trying to impress her, no more that she would just hate it that much. I'd be funny till she hexed him or something along those lines. "You'd have to remember my real name to use it. Still daisies might just help jog your memory. We won't know till I show up randomly with a bunch of them I suppose." As funny as it sounded like it would be it also sounded like a lot of effort to go around gathering daisies for a quick laugh. It was the girls turn again and it seemed they'd be continuing the game a little longer. "Dare." Daniel wasn't sure what he was getting himself into but if it was too much he just wouldn't do it, he didn't care what she thought if he quit.

The Slytherin rolled her eyes when he said that he figured that she, as a ballerina, would be on her toes anyway. He thought he was so clever, didn’t he? How many people had he gotten to laugh at little jokes and comments like that since he had been here? How many Hogwarts student had be won over with his American charm? “You must be really proud of yourself for that one.” she scoffed. He didn’t seem to be jealous that he wasn’t the only one she was teaching as she was glad for that. Though it would have been funny had he have been. “Maybe start by actually wearing the proper attire next time.” she teased. She chose to ignore his comment about randomly bringing her flowers. She didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing he had got to her and she felt like he was kidding anyway. If he wasn’t, well, she had friends who could make sure he didn’t bother her.
Dare. He had asked for a dare. She had been expecting another truth, to be quite honest and wasn’t sure what to have the Gryffindor do. “Okay, why don’t you go out and twirl around in the rain?” she decided, turning her head back to the falling water, interested to see if he would actually accept it or not. It wasn’t a very hard dare, one that she would have easily accepted, but since he had made such a big deal over his hair, she smirked anyway while she waited for his response.

The girl said he just felt so proud for connecting toes and being a ballerina but he didn't really. He was just having fun he wasn't putting too much thought into his words. He only came up with that as she mentioned him keeping her on her toes. "Oh yes, that was the shining achievement of my life. It's all down here from here." Daniel replied with a mildly sarcastic tone, nothing mean just still having fun with her. It went in waves he felt, one minute having fun and enjoying the conversation to being ready to just go they're separate ways. Possibly it just depending on what they were talking about. Whatever the reason right now was a good point and he was having some fun. "I'll just start carrying around the right clothes all the time for whenever the next class is." Daniel joked not even sure what the proper male attire for ballet practicing would be but he wasn't in too much of a hurry to find out.
Daniel had hoped he wouldn't regret picking dare and as the girl made her decision he just laughed a little. It wasn't bad at all. Sure he had made a big deal about not wanting to get wet before but that was just a joke after all. He figured she would know that but maybe she thought he was being serious trying to get him to go into the rain. Either way it was an easy enough dare compared to some of the bad ones that he thought up while waiting. "If you wanted me to turn around just to see my behind you could just ask. You don't need to make me twirl out in the rain." Daniel replied with a smirk as he accepted her dare and walked out into the rain, it was nice enough with it only being a light rain as he spun around twice before going back to where he was standing before. Other people probably thought he looked weird but he didn't care about that. "Now that my hair is ruined it's my turn, truth or dare?"

"Oh I'm sure, with a comment that witty, it's a shame that no one else heard it." she forced out an equally sarcastic tone while flipping her long, dark hair back behind her shoulder. She was glad that there weren't too many people around. She was glad too many people, and at least not any of the important people, were seeing them socializing. And better yet, she was glad that other people weren't seeing them playing this juvenile game, that yes, while she had started, still would probably blame on him.
He completed the dare without making too much of a fuss over it and instead making a sarcastic comment to which she rolled her eyes, again. She had wanted maybe a little bit more of a reason from the man, but Que Sera. He returned, significantly more damp than he was before. He asked her again, truth or dare? She was getting a little tired of the game already but decided to have a little more fun before calling it to and end. So, while everything in her was telling her to choose Truth, Crayla was never one to listen to those inner voices, "Dare." she said, her arms still crossed over her chest.

"Thats okay, I'm not being this witty and charming for anyone else but my own enjoyment." Daniel replied as she returned his sarcasm with even more of the same. Something he had not problem with, it was fun to have someone who could give it right back to him. He felt bad when it was toward someone who actually got their feelings hurt but that wasn't this girl. No, and even if he somehow did hurt her feelings Daniel doubted she would let it show. If anything she would just get mad at him.
Daniel didn't mind being out in the rain but now that he was out of it there was a little bit of chill with the breeze. Nothing he was going to complain about or let show but he'd either need to find a fireplace for a few minutes or just change clothes. The girl accepted dare and Daniel wasn't really prepared for that. He expected truth and the first few dares that came to mind were either stupid or just flat out rude and he wouldn't do that, at least with her making such harmless dares. "Okay, I'll make this simple you don't even have to go out in the rain. All you have to do is say something. I'll say no so don't worry I just want to hear you say it." Daniel said with a smirk, this would probably be the moment she left and if so it would still be funny to watch happen. "Ask me out on a date and make it convincing." This would be very good to watch Daniel thought again to himself with a smirk.

He sassed her back and she rolled her eyes with another scoff. Whatever. She wasn’t actually upset or annoyed so much as she was entertained. It really wasn’t often that she found someone who could keep up with her, someone who was a good verbal sparring partner. Even if she’d never admit it out loud, she and Daniel were on the same level and it was fun. He seemed to take a moment thinking of a dare for her. Something which left her with an unsettling feeling in her stomach. He opened his decision by saying that it would be simple and she wouldn’t even have to go out in the rain. He then insisted that she’d say no and she didn’t have to worry, which made the unsettling in her stomach even worse. Ask me out on a date and make it convincing. he dared her. Her eyes widened and she stared at him as if asking him how dare he say something like that. The unsettling had turned into a sickly feeling. She wanted to demand that he watch his tongue and that he didn’t know who he was talking to. However, she didn’t want to seem like she was weak or afraid of him. There was no reason she couldn’t have fun with this too, since he was obviously getting something out of it. So, she bent down and set her mug on a bench. She then walked over to him and set her hands on his chest, snuggling up a little, which made her want to throw up inside. She turned her head and looked up at him with her big, brown eyes and asked, “You wannah got out with me?” before biting her lip. "I could rock your world." she added.

This was the reaction Daniel was looking for. It wasn't one of hate or at least it didn't feel like it, he didn't personally want this girl to hate him. While she might not have been his first choice of company or even been on that list she wasn't terrible to be around. It was the wide eye stare of someone on the inside asking what the hell. It was hilarious to him right now but he did his best to avoid laughing just yet. No he just kept a smirk on his face while she stared at him. He wasn't sure if she'd run off, hit him or actually do it. She just placed her drink down before getting closer, here is when he expected the slap but no she just rested her hands in his chest and looked up to him. She spoke and Daniel had to admit it was actually pretty convincing, in this moment he could almost forgot who the girl really was and just think that she was pretty this close to him and the offer didn't sound bad at all. Still he wasn't completely lost in her looks and the act, well aware this was still just a dare.
Daniel laughed quietly as he couldn't keep it all in at this moment, not when he was about to speak. "I have to say this is pretty convincing." Daniel said in a low tone, no need to be too loud when she was this close he'd let her move back when she wanted to. He need ruining the view for himself till she wanted to. "Okay you won me over, I know this lovely little tea shop in Hogsmeade. I hear it's first date central." Daniel teased slightly, if just asking her to say it was the look he got then actually accepting would be something else. Still he couldn't keep the act up too much so after a moment or so he spoke again. "No, sorry I can't accept. I don't want to ruin what we have now. Don't be sad, we'll always the ballet ice queen." This had worked out to be more fun than he even imagined and if she wanted to continue this game he'd have been surprised.
