Albus paused when River asked if he had to go right at that moment. The Slytherin didn’t, in fact, have to go. He just thought that River might want him to leave, after what he had said. Albus shook his head slowly. “Sitting sounds like a good idea.” He agreed, placing himself back down on the grass. He didn’t sit as close to River as he had before, just so there would be less pressure for both of them to converse. Sitting in the silence wasn’t productive as far as answering the questions they both surely had about what this conversation meant for their futures, but it was nice, just to be quiet. Al’s breaths were deep and slow as he sat in the grass next to River, staring forward as if the Kneazles in the pen could tell him something about the future.
