Louis hadn’t seen his sister, or her boyfriend, for a few months now. He wasn’t stupid enough to actually buy that they were simply holed up together somewhere, mooning over each other, basking in the love they shared. Vic had been Minister of Magic for more than the fact that she stepped up to the job; she was fully capable of the position. Louis knew there had to be something else, something Vic and Teddy weren’t divulging to anyone just yet. He wondered if his parents, or Dominique even knew about what was really going on, but if they did they were just as tight-lipped as the couple. So Louis had written to Teddy, saying that his next Hogsmeade weekend was in April and that if he had the time he’d love to see him. He was surprised when Teddy agreed to come, and they determined that once again they’d meet at Honeydukes. Louis got to the candy shop first, which was good because he was craving some chocolate right then. He liked to joke that chocolate made him more daring, but really it was just the taste of it. He did have some questions that he hoped his likely future brother-in-law could shed some light on. Perusing the shelves, Louis picked out a few chocolate covered strawberries, and after handing over some Sickles, popped one in his mouth, chewing mindlessly as he lost himself over rather imaginative ideas as to why Victoire and Teddy had literally disappeared. @teddy

Teddy had not been happy to disappear like he and Victoire had done, but at the time it had been the best thing to do for Vic's health. And in the hopes that she stay resting and getting better, they had not told anyone where they were except for Harry who had given them Grimmauld Place to stay for the time being. Now Victoire was better and they would soon be moving into Victoire's apartment. Things were finally getting better. So when Teddy had received the letter from Louis, he was nearly over the moon to hear from the youngest Delacour-Weasley and scheduled his trip to Hogsmeade as soon as possible.
Honeydukes was often the meeting place for Louis and Teddy, and it was one of Teddy's favorite shops in the village so his legs practically led him there themselves. When he stepped inside, the blue-haired Metamorphmagus found the blonde Gryffindor with ease. He waltzed over with a wide grin. "Well, long time no see," he grinned at his friend.

Louis turned around and saw Teddy Lupin arriving in front of him. He hid his smile; he was mad at the man after all. “Teddy Remus Lupin,” he began sternly, crossing his arms in front of him. “You and my sister rush off at the end of December. You don’t call, write, owl, visit. What’s up with that?” he demanded, tapping his foot as if he was impatient. He held the facade for one, two, three beats before relaxing and grinning. “It’s great to see you Ted,” he said, giving the older boy a hug with a pat on the back that may have been a little harder than usual. “Free samples,” he said by means of explanation as to why he was standing in this particular spot. He grabbed a piece of chocolate nougat and stuffed it in his mouth. “Mmm, so good,” he said, his voice muffled from the mouthful of chocolate. Louis swallowed and took in the Hufflepuff alumni standing in front of him. His hair was blue as it normally was when he was in a good mood, which Lou took as a good sign. He looked no better or worse than the last time he saw him around Christmas, also good. “So really...how are you?” he asked. “And more importantly, how is my sister?” he added, grinning. Teddy and he were close, but he was more concerned about Victoire. They had been hiding out for unknown reasons for months, and if Teddy looked perfectly fine...then what was wrong with his sister? @teddy real live shot of louis rn

Teddy had always been very close with Louis, and when he first saw the look on the Gryffindor's face, Teddy was caught slightly off guard. He stood there with a guilty look for a moment as Louis reprimanded him for disappearing with Victoire without writing. He was relieved when after a short moment, Louis approached him for a hug which Ted happily returned as a smile spread across his face. Ted pulled away when Louis mentioned the free samples and ate one himself. "I missed having you around, Lou," he mused as the two shared the moment to enjoy their free samples.
When Louis asked how Teddy was, he nodded and put his hands in his pockets. "I'm good," he said. Victoire was good too, but how could Teddy possibly be the one to tell Louis about all that his sister had been through? "And Vic has been... good, too," he said a little uncertainly. He didn't want to divulge information to Louis that wasn't his to tell. Knowing Vic, she would want to tell her brother and sister herself.

Louis inclined his head towards Teddy as the older boy admitted he missed having you around. “Of course you did, I’m a blast to be around. Ask Georgie,” he stated matter-of-factly, not caring he was being rather cheeky. Obviously his own girlfriend enjoyed having him around, or she would have dumped him already. “But it’s nice to hear absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder,” he added, grinning as he shoved another piece of chocolate in his mouth. “You can make up for being absent by getting me some chocolate to bring back for later,” Louis decided, leading Teddy over to the different chocolates. “And perhaps some other sweets, you know, to change it up a bit,” he added.
Louis knew Teddy was hiding something, something about his elder sister. He hadn’t seen her for months, not that he hadn’t tried. Victoire was a private person, but not when it came to her family; not unless it was something serious. If it was serious, he hoped she’d at least give her boyfriend permission to tell her family if they complained enough. Which was exactly what Louis planned to do. “Alright, don’t tell me what’s up with Vic. Though if she dies without seeing me first I will blame you for it,” he said casually, plucking up some fizzing whizbees and dropping them into a bag.

Teddy immediately grinned at Louis' response, which was such a typical retort from Louis. "Ah," he said popping another chocolate into his mouth. "The American. The one I still haven't met?" He inclinded an eyebrow at the young Gryffindor. Of course, part of that was Teddy's fault. He was the one who had disappeared for so long after all. Teddy let out a laugh when Louis suggested that he buy his chocolate for him. Naturally, though, Teddy would gladly pay for the young man's chocolate. What kind of older friend would he be if he didn't? "You got it, mate," he said, playing along.
The Hufflepuff alum wanted so badly to tell Louis where he and Victoire had been, and why but he felt as if it really was something best explained by Victoire herself. "Well, you know Vic," Teddy shrugged, trying to seem more nonchalent about it than he really felt. "I probably wouldn't tell the story all correctly." He winked at Louis to indicate to him he was just joking around.

Louis glared at him pointedly. “You two would have met by now if you hadn’t just up and disappeared on me,” he remarked, then his expression softened. “It’s probably good that Georgie has had some time to prepare meeting the two of you; having an older sister who was formerly the Minister of Magic was pretty intimidating,” he admitted, chuckling. Victoire, to him, was not super intimidating, but he had also know her his entire life and had seen her softer side. He could understand her intimidating factor, and Teddy, the son of two heroes who gave their lives at the Battle of Hogwarts, would be equally so.
Louis wandered around Honeydukes’, sampling and picking out different chocolates. Not all of them were for him of course; he’d bring Georgie’s favorite back to her later. When he was finally finished, he dragged Teddy to the cash register and had the Hufflepuff alum pay for his chocolate. “Where to next Teddy?” Louis asked. They had just indulged themselves on some chocolate, but Louis was seventeen - a growing boy. When wasn’t he hungry?
