She agreed to let him teach her and Edmund smiled. He was glad that she was willing to learn, because he really did feel like skipping rocks was something that everyone should know how to do. It was relaxing and peaceful and yeah. She should know how. "Great," he answered. Then he hesitated a moment. "Uhhh ... do you want to set up a time or I can teach you now or ..." he trailed off, just waiting for her response. Honestly, he was good to do it whenever she wanted. Sure, there was studying to be done for the end of year exams, but Ed wasn't stressing out about that. He was ready for summer. "I'm good with whenever you want to learn, so long as we do it," he added, not wanting her to feel pressured to do it now. Really, she didn't have to do it ever, but he thought it might be something she would enjoy

He asked when she wanted to learn, he suggested that he could teach her now, but the idea of just getting up and doing something not only unplanned, but something so very unlike her made her nauseous. Anxiety twisted her stomach and she shook her head, trying to keep it at least looking casual. “Another time is good. I think.” she said, not trying to write him off, she did think that learning would be good for her, and so would be stepping out of her comfort zone. But she wasn’t ready for that today. “Maybe this weekend when we don’t have lessons? I really should be revising…” she admitted, glancing towards the castle, where she knew dozens of students were already held up in the library doing what she was, oddly enough, putting off by being outside reading. But it was such a nice day, she couldn’t get herself to focus on magical subjects when muggle pirates called to her from the paperback pages of her current novel. “I should probably head to the library.” she packed her book back into her bag and then stood up. “It was nice to meet you, Edmund. And I do really want to learn.” she promised him.
((go ahead and end it )) @edmund

Edmund nodded when Fiona answered that a different time would be better for him to teach her. That was just fine. He mostly expected her to answer that way from the first. "No problem. Just let me know when you have time," he shrugged, "I'm generally not the busiest so I'm sure we can work something out." He smiled when she mentioned the weekend. "Sounds good to me. How about Saturday after lunch?" That was generally a pretty slow time. He was excited to be able to share this with her. Really, he liked skipping rocks with almost anyone, so adding another person would be fun and probably help them become better friends. She mentioned that she should probably head back to the library and he shrugged, "Sounds good. I'll see you later then." He smiled when she said it was nice to meet him. "Likewise," he responded, his childhood training coming out. "Don't worry, it's not hard. I'll help you with it this weekend." It would be fun. --- the end --- @fiona
