Jess just nodded at Isolde's comment about how nerve-wracking that day must have been. It was. Waiting to hear about her brothers and their well-being almost drove Jess crazy with worry, but in the end they were fine and that was what mattered. However, when the other girl offered that they should stop talking about that, Jess nodded, entirely ready to let the subject drop. Talking about attacks on Hogwarts were hard for her, especially with her brothers there.
Isolde started explaining how she was sure the Tournament did what it was supposed to. She went further, talking about how each country got its own threats, but were determined to continue on. Her eyes widened in surprise. Sure, that seemed like a reasonable assumption, that the countries go threats about it all, but she never thought about that before. Jess started nodding when Isolde talked about being stronger together. "I agree. I'm glad we've been able to use the Tournament to help bring our countries together," she added. She looked down her list of questions, surprised when she realized that they all were answered throughout the conversation. "Is there anything else you want to tell me about the Tournament? Like any other statements or things you feel like people should know?" Jess asked, still trying to seem like she knew what she was doing even though she didn't.
The girl mentioned how it was convenient that Fin was there right when she needed him and Jess thought for a moment. "I think it was just luck, but I'm really glad it happened," she said after a moment. She knew that would seem extremely naive, but she didn't care. She was glad that Fin was there and could help her this day. Every moment she spent with him was worth it, even if they weren't dating and she really just wanted to spend as much time with him as she could. Maybe he would someday be interested in her like she was in him.
