Jess laughed and he grinned, stopping his smile short in order to kiss her back, but it was hard not to smile against her lips. She asked if he wanted to try Jumanji again and he shrugged, "sure, it's already in the player," he answered. At her next question his eyes widened a little, "uhh... I don't know. I guess just snuggling in the dark and enjoying someone simple together," he explained. He waved his hand again and the movie started playing, from the beginning. He kissed the top of her head, shifting so they could be more comfortable for a whole movie. "Now, don't jump at the part where he gets sucked in again," he teased.

In that moment, Jess felt entirely content. He agreed to watch Jumanji again, which was nice because she actually was interested in seeing it, though Jess still wasn’t entirely sure how well she’d be able to focus on the movie with Fin so close. After everything that happened during the last few minutes, she didn’t know how well she’d be able to focus on anything except for him. His answer to her question was adorable and Jess chuckled softly, moving as he shifted a little. She sat close beside him, figuring that would be more comfortable for the both of them, but snuggled up next to him. “That sounds good to me,” she told him in a whisper. He teased her about not jumping at the same part where she jumped earlier and Jess laughed, “Make me,” she teased back, though she was pretty sure that with Fin’s arms around her, she wouldn’t jump at anything. With him so close, she felt entirely at peace. The peace didn’t last forever, however. It didn't even last the rest of the day. That night when Jess returned home, she found a note on her bed. “Stay away from Finley O’Neill. Or else.” A tingle ran up Jess’ spine at that promise, and a realization came to her. Strange things kept on happening every time she spent time with Fin. She thought it was just chance, but now she had a note where someone was threatening her, telling her to stay away from him. Could it be that all of that was on purpose? She didn’t know what to do about that idea. They were dating now. He would think it was weird if she suddenly didn’t want to see him, which was a lie because she did. Fin was the best thing in her life right now. She went to bed trying to decide what to do and when she woke up, she made her decision. Fin was worth the risk. She could handle dead rats and cockroaches, dirty clothes and threats as long as she could be with him. --- the end --- @finley
