Jamie was having a day. The winner of the Triwizard Tournament had been announced but the foreign students weren't leaving for another week, which meant that there was still time before exams. What made that day so peculiar was that Jamie had absolutely no revision to do. She had planned her schedule so that she had days off from studying each of her subjects periodically, but it just so happened that they all aligned on this particular day. Jamie had nothing to do, which could mean a lot of things. She had considered getting on her broom to fly a few laps, but since she was still waiting on her final contract offer from the Harpies, she didn't want to jinx herself. Instead the Hufflepuff had meandered towards the pond. It wasn't a super warm day out, but it was warm enough that the cold water would be refreshing, and Jamie smiled to herself as she hiked up her robes and took a step into the pond water, wiggling her toes in the silt beneath her feet and turning her face up into the warm May sunshine. It felt good just to relax for a little while.

These days it had been hard to find some time to relax, and for Raina - studying had taken up much of her time lately, but today - she had, had more than enough of revising and studying for exams. She knew it was important, of course it was - with OWL's coming up it was even more important this year. But the Triwizard Tournament had ended and before they knew it the students from the others schools would be leaving. For Raina this was a bittersweet thing, she had managed to make a couple good friends from the other schools - which wasn't a surprise to most, making friends was for Raina almost as easy as breathing was. But saying goodbye - that was never an easy thing. She had spent part of her day spending time with her friends before deciding she would head outside for some fresh air. A wide smile breaking through on her face as she breathed in some fresh air, it was warm but it was a good day to be outside for sure.
She was walking around near the pond when she caught sight of someone at the edge of the pond - a small smile quickly lighting up her face as she recognized the figure, "Jamie," her voice spoke the name as she moved closer - quickly waving her hand, "Having fun in the water?" her eyes darted to the water covering the older girls feet, a small giggle escaping her as she playfully teased, "Better be careful - I've heard there are some nibbling creatures living in there."

Jamie heard her name being called out, and she lowered her face from the sunlight, small spots dancing on the backs of her eyelids as she got used to not looking directly at the sun (albeit through closed eyelids – Jamie didn’t want to end up blind, thank you very much). She smiled when she recognized the figure waving at her. In addition to being Irina’s little sister, Raina was a fellow Hufflepuff, and one that Jamie thought that she got along with quite well – though it was difficult for any two Hufflepuffs not to get along with one another, given their house traits and everything. Jamie nodded when Raina asked if she was having fun in the water, though she was more enjoying the serenity that came with standing in the water than the fun of it. Raina made a comment about nibbling creatures, and the older Hufflepuff smirked slightly. “Don’t worry.” Jamie said nonchalantly. “I know how to bite back.” Joking about her lycanthropy was something that Jamie was trying to get better at (she was pretty sure that it would be called a coping mechanism), and she was glad that this particular biting joke didn’t seem to fall as flat as her others in the past had. The fact that it had been a full year since Jamie had actually bitten anyone made things much easier to deal with, she mused. “You want to join me?” Jamie invited, holding her hands out to Raina so that the younger Hufflepuff would join her in the water.

Raina had never been one to really care much about someone being older than her or younger than her, at least when it came to things like being friends with someone. Then again, she was rather well known for befriending the new first years each year - the beginning of each year was always one of her favorite parts - getting to know the new students arriving with wide eyes and fresh faces, the muggle borns were some of her favorites - the fact that magic was all new and so amazing to them. It was facinating and adorable for her to see, but even now as the first years get older and move onwards to the next year - she still keeps an eye out for them and is there if any need someone to talk to or just a friend. She had a lot of friends, age never mattered to her and she had actually formed some friendships with even friends of her sisters and others in their years. The more the merrier was a good way to say things when it came to her she supposed.
Her face lit up as she hurried over, "Its so nice out here.." she commented lightly before giggling at the light joke the other girl made, "Well - I'd place my bets on you winning if it came to a bite-fight." Her eyes brightened as she nodded happily, slipping her shoes off carefully on the shore before reaching out to take the offered hands and stepping into the water - a happy sigh escaping her as she feels the cool comfort of the water over her feet, "This is amazing - I really need to come out here more.." Raina gives another gentle smile, peering back over at Jamie curiously, "What brought you out here today? Just relaxation or... a need to feel the water?"

Jamie nodded when Raina said that it was so nice outside. Even when it wasn’t nice out, Jamie liked to be outside of the castle, but considering sometimes the grounds still spooked her due to her accidental biting incident, it was difficult to find a balance. Jamie snorted when the younger girl said that she’d place bets on Jamie winning a bite-fight, pretty sure that the statement was meant to be a compliment but unsure how exactly to respond to a compliment of that caliber. Raina slid of her shoes so that she could join Jamie in the water, and the Hufflepuff joined her friend in sighing. She had already appreciated how relaxing the water was, but there was no reason she couldn’t re-experience the relaxation with Raina. Now that she had been in the water for a while, it didn’t feel quite as cool, but it was still relaxing.
“I get out enough with Quidditch that coming outside just to be outside isn’t as big of a deal for me.” Jamie mused. “But I do wish I had spent more time outside this past year.” Jamie had let her discomfort with the grounds get the better of her, and that was one of her bigger regrets. Werewolves weren’t meant to be cooped up inside, even in their human forms – they were naturally inclined to hyperactivity. Luckily Jamie had Quidditch to keep her from going completely stir-crazy, but still, as the year drew to a close, the Hufflepuff was thinking back on everything that she would have done differently. “I just had a little extra time to myself.” Jamie explained when Raina asked why she was outside. “And like you said, it’s so nice out that it seemed like a shame to stay inside when I didn’t have to.” Jamie shrugged, kicking one of her legs through the water. Sometimes taking time just to relax was a good thing.

It seemed that a lot of her time lately had been spent inside, far too much time compared to what Raina usually prefered. She had been starting to feel rather stir crazy if that was what it could really be called even. So the fact that she was outside and it was actually a really nice day outside today - it was a complete bonus however that she had managed to find some company in someone who was nice and welcoming to her spending some time around them. She gave a small - but happy - sigh as she wiggled her toes in the water, enjoying the cool and slightly refreshing feeling of the water.
"Yeah - I'd imagine, but - Quidditch isn't really my thing..." the game, and flying in general was still something that gave the youngest Krum a lot of unease. She still watched the games though of course - but it still made her feel a little uncomfortable particularly when it was someone she cared about flying around and risking their lives - at least in her mind it was risking their lives. "Its gotta be a little strange.. knowing that soon you might not get to see the grounds so much after this." she spoke softly, a small frown on her face as she looked around, still enjoying the water although her mind was wandering again. "Jamie? Do you know what you're gonna do next year yet? Are you gonna continue with Quidditch?" She hoped it was okay to ask her.

Jamie nodded when Raina said that Quidditch wasn’t really her thing. A lot of people assumed that because of their fathers, the Krum siblings would all want to play Quidditch, or at least like it, but Jamie had always thought that was a rather silly way of thinking of things. Her father was a maniac who enjoyed biting people and killing, but no one expected her to be the same way – or if they did expect it out of her, they never got the guts to say it to her face. Raina said it must have been strange to know she wasn’t going to see the grounds much soon, and Jamie shrugged. “My sister’s still going to be here. If I visit her, then maybe I’ll see the grounds.” Jamie also hadn’t totally ruled out teaching. Maybe in the future, when she was too old to play Quidditch, she would be the flying professor for the school, and then she’d see plenty of the grounds. But that was far, far ahead of her. When Raina asked about Jamie knowing that she wanted to do with the future, Jamie nodded. “I’m going to be a professional Quidditch player.” Jamie said. “So that’ll be… new.” Being consumed by Quidditch would be an interesting experience, but Jamie was looking forward to it more than she knew how to express.

For Raina, once upon a time she had actually loved flying - Quidditch maybe not so much. But after the Flying accident in her first year. Flying on a broom even became something that Raina feared. So while she admired people who loved the sport and sometimes even enjoyed watching it - she was certainly not game to get up and fly around like that herself. Still, she was glad to be able to try and make her own path in the world. She knew her parents still wanted to push the sport and liking it, but they understood enough these days at least to be okay with them making their own choices. "Really? That sounds fun - I wonder if Rina would come visit sometime.. if she had time of course." she stared down at the water after speaking, honestly she hadn't thought about that part before. Maybe she could bring it up sometime soon - even if Irina could just make a single visit sometime, it could be fun and that way she could hear about things that weren't written in a letter.
As the topic shifted and Jamie told about her chosen career, Raina smiled happily. "I can see that, I've seen you play before - I'm sure you will do amazing. I even promise to come to a game and cheer you on. Do you know what team you're gonna aim for?" Her eyes lit up at this question. While yes she hated flying herself, she did have a couple teams she gladly followed along with.

Jamie nodded when Raina asked her incredulous question about whether or not Jamie would really be back. “Irina’s job might be a little harder to work around.” Jamie said, not wanting to get Raina’s hopes up too high. She knew Cursebreakers had to go on a lot of missions to different countries, so they could actually find the objects that they needed to break curses on or whatever. The last thing Jamie wanted was to make the Gryffindor seem like a bad person because she wasn’t able to visit Hogwarts as often as Jamie would be able to with her professional Quidditch schedule. It would still be difficult for Jamie to visit often, but she didn’t have to worry about travelling across an ocean like Irina may possibly.
Raina said that she could see Jamie as a Quidditch player, and the Hufflepuff smiled. No one seemed to be all that surprised by her career path, which Jamie supposed meant she was on a good path. Maybe it wasn’t wild or different, but Jamie didn’t need anything wild. She just wanted to be happy, as stupid and sappy as that sounded in her head. “I want to be a part of the Holyhead Harpies. Green and gold all the way!” Jamie said, a brighter smile lighting her face. It had been her dream for a while to be on the Harpies, and she was hoping the rest of her life would be a dream come true.

Raina nodded slowly, she knew already that Irina would likely not be able to visit often - in fact she was partly expecting it. If anything it made her want to spend as much time with her sister as she could now - to make up for the future times she won't see her as much, "Yeah - she's going to be really busy - but, I'm proud of her. It's what she wants to do and she's going to be amazing at it." She spoke with such pride for her older sister as she smiled, she was happy - and so - so proud of her sister. Even if she was going to miss seeing her as much or as often, she couldn't be prouder even if she wanted to.
She almost gave a small laugh, talking about Jamie being a Quidditch player really wasn't surprising at all, while Quidditch wasn't something that Raina herself was into - honestly the sport terrified her more often than not, she was okay with watching others play even if she often had to close her eyes in fear, "You're an amazing player - The Harpies will be crazy not not take you on." Her eyes lit up as she spoke, "I'm sure its obvious - Quidditch is far from my thing, but even I know how good you are and it's going to be so cool telling people I know a Holyhead Harpy from all the way back when she was in the same house as me at Hogwarts." She did give a little laugh at this, offering one of her big happy smiles.
