This was weird. This was really weird. Jamie was about to walk into Quality Quidditch Supplies... as a professional Quidditch player. She was wearing a green Harpies jersey, not as a fan, but as a player! Her surname was sprawled across the back in bright gold letters - GREYBACK - and for once, Jamie didn't feel shame in her father's name. It didn't just belong to him anymore; it was just as much hers, and she was going to do as much good with that stupid name as she could. Jamie was at the Quidditch supply store for some sort of signing thing; her contract with the Harpies had been officially announced in the Daily Prophet the day before, and she was supposed to be present for fans to take photos with and sign pictures and whatever else Quidditch players were supposed to do. It was a strange idea for Jamie, since she hadn't actually played a game with the Harpies yet, but she could understand why getting to meet rookie players would be helpful - it would invest people in the entirety of the team, not just the old players, and hopefully boost ticket sales. Jamie was early to the event, though, as was customary for her, so she began to explore the racks of the store, wondering what she could buy now that she was getting paid to do what she loved. It was a wonderful, wonderful life.

Ryo was walking up to the Quidditch supply store in Diagon Alley with his hands in his pockets holding on to the money his mom had given him. It had been a tough couple of weeks, what, with their mum dropping the news on them of their father, the death of their brother, and the news of the possibility of them having other siblings flying around the wizarding world somewhere. It was shocking, to say the least. And depressing considering that he had never really had a chance to meet with his brother, Elias who had been the Durmstrang champion. The icing on the cake, for Ryo anyway, was the realization that he had left his Quidditch Through The Ages book lying somewhere around his dorm back at Hogwarts. He wouldn't be able to get it anytime soon so it was more likely that it was gone. He'd come to the store now to try and see if he could get a new copy; it was a Quidditch store so of course they sold the book. Why shuffle around an entire bookstore when he could walk right into here to find the book because they didn't sell that many of them? Just walking into the store he realized that there were a bunch of people setting up for some sort of photoshoot? Didn't matter! He was here for his book. It was one of his favorites afterall. He walked passed a few shelves, heading to the back where the books might be when he saw a girl standing near them with a green jersey on. He knew the jersey to be a Harpies jersey. Maybe it was a fan jersey? The closer he got though he realized he didn't recognize the name on the back. He paused mid step. Wait.. The name. The name. Clear across her jersey the name "Greyback" was written in gold. Did he have a sibling on the team? "Excuse me miss!" he didn't hesitate in his questioning as he approached her, "What player is your jersey for?" Tag; @jamie

Jamie turned around when she heard a voice calling out, even though it was really, really weird to think of herself as a ‘miss’. She was still a teenager, after all! When she turned, though, she saw that the boy who had called after her was definitely younger, young enough that she didn’t feel as bad about being called ‘miss’ by a stranger. He asked her what player her jersey was for, and Jamie found herself flushing bright red, feeling rather like an imposter even though she knew what the answer to the question was, and knew that it was true. “It’s, uh, mine.” She half-said, half-stuttered. She was going to need to get better at this whole answering questions without getting flustered thing. It had been so much easier to talk to strangers before she had become a professional athlete, and Jamie was going to attribute all of that to the fact that she had much, much higher expectations for herself now. “My name’s Jamie. Jamie Greyback.” She said, sticking out her hand to shake in a way that she hoped was easy-going yet assertive, but not robotic. There was so much to balance! “Are you a fan of the team?” She asked, hoping to move the conversation into something she was more comfortable talking about – her team mates and Quidditch as a whole, instead of just speaking about herself as a Quidditch player.

Just as Ryo approached her, she turned around and, while she didn't look significantly older than him, she was clearly older. Her fast had turned rather red and he felt like he'd missed something or maybe he'd asked her a weird question. He didn't know if the Harpies had recruited anyone this year; he hadn't had the chance to check the sports section of the Daily Prophet to see but he knew he didn't think there were any Greybacks on the team. None that he could remember. She answered him that it was her jersey and, thinking that she may not have quite heard him asking about what player it belonged to, he went to ask again. That was when she proceeded to introduce herself. Jamie Greyback. This was his sister. And apparently his sister played for the Harpies now. Wow was he actually going to be forced to deal with this today? How weird that he'd come into the store to find his favorite book and end up running into one of his siblings who happened to play for his third favorite quidditch team? She played for a Quidditch team so that meant she liked Quidditch. Wow! His sister was a professional Quidditch player! Would that mean he'd get to meet other Quidditch players? Were any of their other siblings Quidditch players? "Wow! I actually have a sister that plays Quidditch! How cool is that? You must be really good!" he exclaimed, a grin on his face and his hands returning to his pockets casually. When he realized her hand was out his mouth made an 'oh' shape in surprise and he quickly took her hand and shook it. "Wow that felt weird. Shouldn't I hug you or something?" You normally don't shake your sibling's hand. He didn't shake Riku's hand in greeting. Tag; @jamie

The kid whose hand she shook seemed to be thinking a mile a minute, and Jamie watched, semi-amused, as she watched various thoughts flash across his eyes. Her amusement was somewhat dampened when the boy began to talk, saying that he had a sister who played Quidditch. Jamie’s brows furrowed slightly – did he mean… her? That didn’t make much sense, unless – Jamie’s face morphed into a cautious smile. “Are you… Fenrir?” She asked quietly, not sure how well anyone in the shop would take to her biological father’s name being mentioned. That was about the only assumption that she could make given the information she had. The kid – her brother? – continued to babble about how she must be really good at Quidditch, and Jamie flushed slightly. That was still a thought that she needed to get used to. The boy then said something about how her handshake felt weird, and Jamie smirked a little. “I wasn’t aware that we were related when I put my hand out.” She reminded the boy. She still wasn’t entirely sure that was what he meant, but the assumption seemed safer after the boy asked for a hug. You didn’t hug random strangers, and that combined with the comment about sisters made Jamie rather confident in the boy’s identity. “I guess we can hug, if you want.” Jamie said with a shrug. She did enjoy hugs, though she wasn’t used to giving them out this soon after meeting someone.

Ryo watched her process his words; she had to know what he meant right? Or did he do that thing again where most of his thoughts stayed in his head and he only voiced the second half of his thought process? She did okay though; it wasn't even a minute later that her face shifted into a smile and she asked the question that he'd expected. Yes he had only voiced a few of his thoughts. He gave a quick nod as she spoke their father's first name. "He's my father too. So that makes you my awesome Quidditch playing sister!" he grinned out happily before he brow furrowed a bit, "Wait you do play right? That's not just a really cool fan jersey right and you actually do play?" He was full of excitement; he didn't mind either way if it was just a fan jersey that she'd put her own name on the back of or if it was a real Holyhead Harpies jersey and she did play. Either way, he had a sibling that was a Quidditch fan! Riku wasn't really into Quidditch, which was perfectly okay, but it was difficult for him to share his excitement with his brother when his favorite teams won when Riku didn't really care for it. Once he'd pulled his hand away from the handshake, she commented that she hadn't known that they were siblings and that she was open for a hug. Ryoma didn't wait, he wrapped his arms around her waist and gave a hug. She was only slightly taller than he was so he didn't feel like too much of a little kid. "It's nice to meet you Jamie. I'm Ryoma Ichikawa and I'm your little brother." Tag; @jamie

This was undoubtedly the most enthusiastic (and most positive) reaction Jamie had ever gotten to someone discovering that she was their sister, and if she was honest, Jamie was so baffled by the positivity that she wasn’t entirely sure what to do. The boy said that Fenrir was his father, too, but that didn’t seem to bother him any – he was more focused on the fact that she was a Quidditch player who also happened to be his sister. Jamie chuckled when the boy asked if she actually did play Quidditch, wanting to make sure that her jersey wasn’t just a fanmade one. “Yeah, I signed on this month.” Jamie explained, in case her brother was wondering why he hadn’t ever heard of her before. “Though I haven’t actually been in a game yet.” She admitted, though that wasn’t any fault of hers – there just hadn’t been any games for her to play in since she signed. The kid didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around her waist, and Jamie wrapped her arms around his shoulders easily. It was really strange to have someone this happy about having secret siblings, but Jamie was going to embrace it while she could. The kid was tall for his age – either that or Jamie was just short, another possibility she was willing to maintain – so it didn’t feel like she was hugging a baby or anything, but she could certainly get used to having someone to hug the way Odette or Aaron hugged her. “It’s very nice to meet you, Ryoma Ichikawa, my brother.” Jamie said with a grin. “I didn’t know that there were more of us!” She enthused, ready to talk Ryo’s ear off about the rest of their family.

When Jamie confirmed that she was a player for the Harpies, one who had actually just signed on, he knew his face lit up. "It didn't really matter if it was a fan one or not, honestly. I was just happy knowing you were a quidditch fan but knowing that you play too? That's so awesome!" his excitement was palpable as he eyed her jersey. His sister actually play Quidditch professionally. How amazing was that? "You have to be good too! I know that the Harpies take their recruitment seriously because they really only want the best of the best." He was nodding his head matter-of-factly as he spoke in his impressed manner. He usually followed recruitment extremely closely, though this year was a little different with everything that had been going on. Just getting the news that they'd had other siblings had thrown him off a bit but now knowing that his sister was one of the new players, he wanted to make sure to check out the competition when he got home. "This might actually bump the Harpies up to my second favorite team now knowing that you play for them. What position do you play?" He didn't actually play himself very seriously but when he did play a pickup game here or there he liked playing as a chaser because he thought it was easily the coolest position. You got to move so fast when you were a chaser and you got to score points! Ryo grinned when she greeted him as her brother. His eye brows lifted a bit when she mentioned 'us', that there were more of 'us'. How many siblings did they have? "Are there more of us? Do they play quidditch too?" he asked surprisingly? He already knew about Elias. And now there was Jamie. How many more siblings could they have? Tag; @jamie

Watching her brother’s face light up was a priceless experience, and Jamie was glad that she was able to make him that happy just by doing what she already loved to do. Ryo said that she must have been good, because the Harpies took their recruitment seriously, and Jamie blushed, unsure what to do with the praise other than smile. “Who’s your first favorite?” Jamie asked, since Ryo said that the Harpies would be his second favorite team now. When her brother asked what position she played, Jamie responded immediately. “Chaser. I was the Captain for the Hufflepuff team last year, but obviously that’s not the case on the Harpies.” She had just joined, so obviously she couldn’t be the captain… yet.
Jamie couldn’t help but laugh when Ryoma asked if there were any more of them. Boy, were there. “There’s quite a few of us.” She said to explain the laugh. “Aaron is the oldest, he works at the Three Broomsticks. Then there’s Odette, she’s a Cursebreaker. Then there’s me.” Jamie paused for a moment, wondering whether or not to mention Elias. He was gone, but he was still one of them. “Elias, but, you know, the ship…” Jamie swallowed. Practically everyone knew that her brother hadn’t survived the ship’s explosion, but that was besides the point. There were still more siblings to list! “There was Adrian, too, but he moved to America to be with his mother. Max is – well, was, I guess – the youngest. She’s still in school, in Slytherin.” She explained. Those were all of the siblings that she was aware of, though Jamie wouldn’t be surprised if there were more out there somewhere.

Jamie then asked him what his favorite team was, and because he had just been waiting for her to ask that question, his grin stretched across his face. "The Wimbourne Wasps of course! They have such a good chance this year to take the European Cup. Not that the Harpies don't, especially now that you're on the team, but the Wasps have been doing so good," he explained through his excitement. Of course, his favorite team had changed a bit when he'd first gotten into quidditch; he could remember a year when he'd been asking his mum to get him some Holyhead Harpies fan gear. Even still, there was no team that he cheered for more than the Wimbourne Wasps now. "The Harpies will only come second to them, because I can't turn my back on my team," he grinned at Jamie. He was going to have to check and see if the schedules were up yet on when each team was playing which. He knew when the Harpies played the Wasps he was going to have a bit of trouble because he couldn't cheer against her on purpose. He'd cheer for both teams though. Jamie then commented that she' d been a chaser and the captain of the Hufflepuff team at Hogwarts. "Oh wow! I actually remember you in a few games against Ravenclaw. You are good!" The Harpies had definitely picked up a good team member if she played like she had in school. Talk returned to their siblings and Ryoma felt his eyes go wide when she began naming off each of their siblings that she knew. There were quite a few of them. None of them seemingly played Quidditch though like she did. That didn't mean that he didn't care but standing right in front of him now was a professional quidditch player that happened to be his sister and he was so excited about it. "Oh wow. I didn't expect there to be so many of us!" He'd noticed the way she reacted when she brought up Elias though and he became solemn at once, nodding his head. She finished by mentioning a sister that was still in school with them, Max. He would probably be seeing her then since she was still in school. Just then a few more people entered into the store heading over to the area he'd passed that looked as if a photoshoot was happening. "Is there something special going on today? Did I miss something," he asked out loud before he turned back to Jamie, wondering if she knew. Tag; @jamie

Ryo said that his favorite team was the Wimbourne Wasps, as if that should have been obvious, and Jamie couldn’t hold back a smile as she listened to her brother talking about his favorite Quidditch team. Jamie loved watching people talk about the things that she loved, because it gave such a deep insight into who that person was. Ryoma obviously adored Quidditch even more than the average fan did, and Jamie found herself half-hoping that her younger brother would become a Quidditch player, too. It could be a family affair! Of course, Ryo still had a while until graduation and it was impossible for him to be on the Harpies with her… but a lot could change in a few years, Jamie was sure. “They do.” She agreed when Ryo mentioned the Wasps having a good chance at the European Cup. The interesting thing about Quidditch was that it seemed that year to year the best teams seemed to change. Jamie hoped that Ryo wasn’t a fair-weather fan. That would be disappointing. Her fears were assuaged when Ryoma said that the Harpies had to be his second-favorite since he couldn’t turn his back on the Wasps. “Not even for your sister?” She teased, though the Hufflepuff was happy to hear that her brother’s team loyalties were so deep. Hopefully that reflected his personal loyalties too. Ryo mentioned seeing her in some matches against Ravenclaw, and Jamie flushed a little when he said that she was good. “Thanks.” She answered, somewhat shyly. She was glad that he thought that, but it was still a little intimidating to know that people were expecting big things from her.
Jamie nodded when Ryo said that he didn’t expect there to be so many siblings. “Almost enough for our own Quidditch team.” She teased. If Adrian came back… Jamie stopped thinking about that before she could think too long on Adrian and how he was gone. That always made her sadder than she ought to be. Ryo asked if there was something special going on, and Jamie nodded. “I’m doing a photoshoot and signing thing later today, since my contract was just announced.” She told her brother. “I don’t suppose I could interest you in a photo?” Jamie teased.

As he spoke about his favorite team, Jamie spoke then, teasing him and asking if he would give it up for her as his sister. He gasped dramatically then though his amusement was clear in his eyes. "What kind of fan would be if I turned my back on my team! The Wasps have been through so much! They deserve loyal fans and I'm a loyal fan. The Wasps will always be number one in my heart," he spoke with passion but he had a grin on his face the entire time. "The Harpies are number two though and I'll always be cheering for you, sis." He casually said it but calling her sister had a big impact on him because it was a word he'd never had the chance to use. He had a sister now. He had multiple sisters now, apparently, but Jamie was right in front of him and she was his sister! He found himself grinning again thinking about it before adding a nod to emphasize his words. He couldn't wait to watch her in her games with the Harpies because he would always be rooting for her. Talk returned to their siblings for just a moment and Jamie mentioned how they almost had enough for a Quidditch team and Ryo snickered, covering his mouth as he laughed. There surely were a lot of them but he knew he wasn't that good at playing Quidditch himself, not good enough for a professional team anyway, so he wouldn't be good for a team of his siblings either. He would much rather watch and cheer them on. Ryoma looked back at the equipment set up as Jamie explained there would be a Harpies photo shoot an signing late that day and his face lit up when she offered him a photo."Like a photo with you? Ooh! Yes! Will you sign it too? I want the first one so I can keep it forever." And it would be his first photo with his sister! He was really excited now. Tag; @jamie

Jamie just laughed when her brother asked what kind of fan he would be if he turned his back on his team. She was tempted to rib him abut what kind of brother he would be if he turned his back on his sister, but since she was fine with Ryo’s favorite team not being her team, it was a little silly to keep teasing him about all of it. “As long as I’m your favorite player, I suppose I can sacrifice the favorite team slot.” Jamie teased. True, she and Ryo had only just met, so that might not even be a good enough reason to change his favorite player – other than the fact that he might not have actually met any other Quidditch players, and he had met her. Jamie nodded when Ryo confirmed that the photo would be with her, and nodded again when he asked if she could sign it. “I’m sure I can squeeze you in first.” Jamie said. It didn’t look like there were that many people in the shop, and none of them had started forming a line for pictures, so Jamie wouldn’t have any angry fans screaming at her about how it was their turn first or anything like that. Jamie took her brother’s hand and lead the pair of them over to the photographer. Jamie gave him a winning smile. “Hey, are you ready to take photos yet? My little brother wants a picture with me before we get started.” She explained. Hopefully the guy wouldn’t give them any weird looks about claiming to be related, even though it was the truth.

Ryo tapped his chin is faux contemplation as she insisted that she at least be his favorite player. Could he really give up his favorite chaser in order to be a good brother and cheer on his sister? He kept a serious look on his face for just a second longer before he broke out in a grin and nodded his head. "Okay you’ll be my favorite chaser then. And even when you play the Wasps I’ll be cheering for you super hard. The next time the Harpies play the Wasps I’ll ask my mum if we can go to the game. That way I’ll be there too," he grinned and gave another nod of his head. He was the biggest quidditch in the family so no one really wanted to go to quidditch games as badly as he did. He didn’t get to go too often but sometimes his mother and Philip would get tickets as a birthday present and they would go to a game. He’d only ever been to a Wasps gave once before but maybe if his mother found out that he and Riku had a sister that played for the Harpies, she would be more willing to let them go. He figured even Riku would be more excited for Quidditch then. When the discussion returned to the topic of Ryoma getting a picture with Jamie, he beamed when she confirmed that she would sign the picture for him too. He was actually getting a professional Quidditch player’s autograph. And the player also happened to be his sister. He honestly didn’t know if the day could get any better. He then remembered that he was due to get ice cream with his brother after he was done shopping and it was suddenly the perfect day. She led him over to where the photographer seemed to be finished setting up before asking if he was ready. His face lit up once again as she referred to him as her little brother before nodding enthusiastically at the guy. He seemingly gave his camera and equipment another once over before he waved the two of them over and directed them to stand in front of the camera. "How should we stand?" he asked, his question directed more at Jamie than at the photographer. Would she want to do something silly or something normal?
