Anna scrunched her nose at Oscar when he said that she'd have to be good at words during their wedding vows. "I won't have to come up with them on the spot though. I can prepare as much as I want for that." Which was a good point. It would probably take Anna from now until whenever they wanted the wedding to get her vows figured out and the wordings just right. "You could probably make yours up right then and there," she added, shaking her head slightly but also smiling. It was a little annoying that he was so good at that, but she also liked it.
He said he didn't want to be here either and that they didn't know how long. Great. Anna bit her lip anxiously, determined to question the healers once she could speak with them privately. She wanted to know what his injuries were exactly and how long it would take before he'd be released. "I'm sorry," she whispered, touching his hand lightly. She chuckled softly when he said he would leave for their wedding. Anna thought for a moment, "What if we get married at the end of summer?" she asked. That way he would have time to heal and her mother would have time to prepare.

Oscar nodded when Anna said that she wouldn’t have to come up with words on the spot on their wedding day. Personally, he found that in the heat of the moment, the right words were just kind of there, but he didn’t expect Anna to be the same way. Anna always thought too much, and Oscar was simpler-minded – he knew what he liked, and he knew who he loved, and that was all that he needed to be happy in his life. “I will write something.” Oscar promised. “But that might not be what I say.” He added, because he was probably going to end up going on some sort of tangent when he was caught up in the moment.
Anna seemed nervous about the lack of solid details, and Oscar had to admit that he also wasn’t that thrilled by his ignorance in the situation. He knew that it wasn’t anyone’s fault – the Healers were doing the best that they could, but the explosion wasn’t anything they had experienced before. “It is okay.” He assured Anna softly. He didn’t need her feeling sorry for him – that wouldn’t help either of them. “The end of the summer sounds nice.” He agreed. They could have a nice outdoor wedding, with their friends and family all there… it would be nice, and there would be enough time to prepare.

Anna couldn't help but chuckle when Oscar said that he would write something down, but might not end up saying it. "That's just fine. We've already established that you're good enough with words to do that," she teased. Of course, she was going to have to think pretty hard about what she wrote because she wanted it to be perfect and didn't want to realize at the last second that she left something important out. Then she'd get stressed and worried that it'd sound weird. Really, she just wanted her wedding day to be calm and amazing. Anna didn't want stress to mess anything up.
She nodded when he said it was okay, even though to her it wasn't. This whole attack was terrible. All the lives lost, all the pain to the survivors. She didn't want to remind him of that though. Anna knew that Oscar was already struggling enough without her adding to it. She smiled when he agreed to the end of the summer. "Is there anything particular that you want me to start working on for it?" she asked curiously.

Oscar managed to smirk at Anna when she said that they’d already established that he was good enough at words to make winging his vows feasible. It was nice to just be able to talk to her, now that nether of them were worried that he was going to die. Things were the same… It just happened that he was on a hospital bed now.
Anna asked if there was anything in particular that he wanted her to start working on for the wedding, and Oscar surprised himself with his own answer. “Find a beach that you like, and see if you can reserve it.” Oscar said thoughtfully. “I want to get married on the beach.” Normally he wasn’t a fan of sand or the way saltwater messed up his hair, but getting married in some stuffy church seemed like a disservice to his relationship with Anna. It couldn’t be contained within four walls – it was as infinite as the ocean, sometimes ebbing and flowing with the tide, but always vast and powerful. They ought to have a venue that reflect that kind of love.

At her question, Oscar said he wanted her to choose a beach for them to get married on. She smiled and quirked her head to the side. "I can do that," she answered instantly, before asking her question. "Why do you want it to be on a beach?" No matter what his answer was, Anna would do as he requested, but she couldn't help but ask. Besides that, Oscar was probably expecting her to ask, since he knew how curious she was. He knew her well enough to expect that. She reached forward and touched his cheek gently, careful to not hit any places that were injured. "I'm so glad you asked them to send for me," she whispered softly. She couldn't imagine not being with him right now, even though there wasn't anything she could do to help him. It was just nice to be with him and know that he was in good hands.

Anna said that she could find a beach, and Oscar managed another small smile. He had expected that answer. Even if Anna couldn’t have done that normally, her newfound fame as the winner of the Triwizard Tournament would assist her, as would her infinite stubbornness. Anna could definitely dig her heels in when it counted, and somehow Oscar thought that Anna would think that their wedding was worth being stubborn over. Anna asked why he wanted it to be on a beach, and Oscar blinked. “I could tell you, but you would just tease me.” Oscar said with a small huff of breath that was meant to be a laugh. They had been over how he was good with words, and he didn’t think that showing off again would be to his benefit. When Anna said she was glad he had asked for her, Oscar reached up to brush his fingers over her face, mirroring her movement with his. “I am so glad that you came.” He had never had any doubts that she would, but it was still nice to remember that he was loved by someone like Anna.

He was smiling, which made everything seem just a little bit better. Even though he'd just been attacked and was in the hospital, he'd asked her to marry him and was finding things to smile about. That was a good thing, right? Even though things were going wrong? At least, she hoped it was a good thing and that he wasn't just hiding his feelings from her, though she wouldn't really be too surprised if he was. From her experience, Oscar found it hard to open up to people, but that was all right. She was sure that once he had time to process everything, he'd talk with her if he needed to. Her mouth fell open a little when he refused to answer her question, saying she would just tease him. She almost said that she would not, but paused. Anna did have a tendency to tease him about things. Well, to tease everyone. Oscar knew her well. She paused a second, twisting her mouth as she thought. "What if I promise I won't tease you? Would you tell me then?" Anna wasn't entirely sure if he would, but it was worth a try, especially since him refusing to answer made her even more curious than she initially was! She closed her eyes for a brief second as he touched her face gently and then smiled as she looked at him. "Of course," she said simply. "I'll always be here for you, whenever you need me." Anna was sure that Oscar knew that, but she said it anyway. She wanted to make sure that he knew.

Oscar hated not telling Anna why he wanted the wedding to be where it was, but he also wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to tell her at that very moment. “I will tell you when I am out of the hospital.” He promised her. That gave him some time yet to figure out how to phrase his thoughts in a way that wasn’t so… mushy. He was sure that Anan liked mushy, but Oscar would prefer for it not to be sickeningly sweet. He wanted it to feel real, and sometimes if things got too eloquent or too well-performed, they stopped feeling as genuine. And he didn’t want that. Anna said that of course she had come, and Oscar managed a small smile at that. “And I will always be here for you.” He promised. He had already had his chances to prove it, when Anna had been a Champion in the Tournament, and had been going through all of those trials with him by her side. That wasn’t going to change anytime soon.

Oscar said he would tell her once he got out of the hospital and Anna made a face at him, "If you're delaying this to try and make it so I forget, it won't work," she warned him. She was going to remember, mostly because his refusal was making her feel super intrigued. Anna wasn't going to push him anymore to tell her more now. She knew Oscar could be stubborn, just like her, and didn't want to cause any form of argument, or stress for him. She didn't want to get kicked out, after all. She smiled when he said he would always be here for her. "I know." Anna paused a moment. "Is there anything I can do for you? Do you need anything to feel more comfortable?" She didn't know how long she'd been with Oscar, but she didn't want to get kicked out before she was able to help him in whatever he might need.

Anna said if he was trying to delay her, so she would forget, it wouldn’t work, and Oscar blinked at her, trying to look as innocent as possible – which wasn’t very difficult at all, considering he was swaddled in bandages and sitting n a hospital bed. “I would never dream of such a thing.” He promised Anna. She had a memory like an elephant, that one – which seemed to be both a blessing and a curse for both of them. Anna asked if there was anything she could do for him, to make him more comfortable, and Oscar shook his head as best as he could manage. “The nurses keep telling me to sleep.” He informed her. He didn’t really want to, especially now that Anna was here, but it was hard to keep his eyes open, and Oscar wondered if they had slipped something into the line that was running through his arm. “Just… stay?” He asked quietly.

Anna couldn't help but smirk when Oscar tried to look innocent. She was fairly certain that her accusation was right, but she wasn't going to really call him out on it right now. The last thing she wanted was for the nurses to think she was stressing Oscar out. "Sure you wouldn't," she teased, bending down to kiss the hand she was still holding. He mentioned that he was supposed to sleep and Anna bit her lip. Was that Oscar asking her to leave? She didn't want to. She glanced at the clock on the wall, wondering how long she could stay here, whether or not they'd care if she returned after curfew. She didn't care. Being with Oscar was worth it. Then he asked her to stay and she smiled at him. "As long as they'll let me," she answered softly. "but I think they'll make me go back to Hogwarts tonight. I'll come back tomorrow," Anna reassured him, assuming he'd be alright with it.

Oscar wished that he wasn’t so tired, because Anna’s words became harder to hang onto. Of all the things in the world that Oscar needed right now, Anna was higher on the list than sleep, and he began to mentally berate himself for not asking to be allowed to remain awake a little longer. At least he had gotten his first priority out of the way – he was going to marry Anna. Merde, he was going to marry Anna! She agreed to stay as long as they let her, and Oscar gave her another weak smile. “Stay.” He repeated. The last thing Oscar saw before he drifted off to sleep was a flash of red hair and a diamond catching in the fluorescent lights. For the first time since he had left Hogwarts, Oscar was at peace.
