Aerick opened the door and was obviously surprised to see her. She was surprised to see him even though she knew that he was going to be there and she had gone specifically to see him. She was surprised that she was in this situation and that she was having to face the consequences. She had thought a lot about just not telling him. She couldn’t imagine that he wanted to be involved anyway. Why would he want to be tied for the rest of his life to a girl whom he slept with once and never tried to see or talk to again? “Hey. Sorry to just show up like this…” she said straight away, apologizing wasn’t really her thing. But maybe it was now. “Can we talk?” she asked. “Maybe not in the corridor here.” she added a bit awkwardly, she wondered how much of her weird behavior he could pick up on already. She must have looked like such a fool.

Aerick shrugged. “No big deal, I just...well I honestly didn’t expect to see you again,” he admitted honestly. He never liked to play games with girls; he was always straightforward and to the point with what he wanted, and didn’t want to beat around the bush. He was only eighteen after all; he had all the time in the world to settle down and have kids, after his father paid for what he did to their family. Wordlessly, he stepped aside and allowed Angie to step into the tiny sitting room of his apartment. “Sorry the place is a mess; I just woke up,” he told her as an excuse for why there were several shirts flung around the sofa. He gathered them up with a flick of his wand and sent them into the laundry hamper where they belonged. He took a seat on the couch and looked up at Angela. “So…” he said, hands clasped together while waiting for her to explain why she showed up out of the blue. @angie

He admitted that he wasn’t expecting to see you again and she nodded, “i wasn’t expecting to see you again either.” she admitted, starting to feel a little annoyed at the whole situation. She knew it wasn’t his fault, she wasn’t annoyed at him. It was both of their faults, both of them probably thinking that the other one had the situation covered and both being a bit too drunk to think clearly about the use of contraceptives. She entered the apartment when he stepped aside for her and then he apologized for the mess, honestly, she hadn’t noticed until he said something. She felt herself growing a little dizzy. The whole thing felt like a bad dream. “I’m pregnant.” Angie blurted out without thinking just after he had sat down. She had meant to be a little more subtle and conversational with her admission, but here in the moment she couldn’t think of a good way to tell a man that he had impregnated her by accident, or, that she was pretty sure she was going to have the baby.

Aerick had to admit, he had been curious why Angela had been there. His brain had racked through the reasons she could have possible stopped by, but not a single one prepared him for those two words she uttered. ‘I’m pregnant.’ He didn’t register it at first, he thought there was no possibility of that happening. They had been careful after all! Or...had they? They’d both had a good deal to drink that night, and it all happened so fast...Aerick couldn’t remember if he had taken the necessary precautions to prevent a pregnancy. He sat back and let out a short exhale. “Is it mine?” he asked, then shook his head. Of course it was his, she wouldn’t have come all this way to tell him her unborn child was someone else's. “Sorry, just processing,” he mumbled. Aerick sat forward and rubbed his eyes, suddenly feeling exhausted. He had just arrived in the United Kingdom a few months ago, and was still no closer to finding his father than he had been when he’d left New York. A baby just wasn’t in the cards for him right now - Angela would understand that right? “So...what do you want to do?” he asked, wisely deciding to start with that rather than outright telling her he was not going to be involved. It might even be a non-issue; he had no idea what the young woman wanted after all. He’d only known her for one passion filled night. @angie

He asked if it was his and Angie didn’t blame him one little bit. How was he supposed to know that she hadn’t gone out much since that night? He had no way of knowing any of the things that were going through her head. She barely knew how to process any of the things going through her head. “I’m pretty sure - yeah.” Angie was a party girl, and she had been with quite a few men, but she didn’t normally just go home with anyone, she had a little more self respect than just to accept every invitation that came her way. Aerick had been her only in quite a few weeks. There was really no other options. “No - um… so am I.” Angie admitted when he apologized for trying to process the information. As confused and upset as he probably was, she was the one carrying the baby of a stranger while also unemployed and still living with her parents. What a life she had set up for herself. “I haven’t entirely decided… but I think I’m going to have it.” she told him, not making eye contact. Not really looking up from the floor much at all. She felt so ashamed. After she had it, whether she’d keep it or give to up for adoption, she wasn’t sure and had barely thought about.

Aerick nodded mutely, unsure of what to say next. He was glad she was sure he was the father in a weird sense; he couldn’t imagine being on her side of the couch completely unsure of who had fathered her unborn child. He obviously didn’t know her well, but she didn’t seem like THAT kind of woman. He sat back a little as Angie said she was trying to process this as well. He could see why; she liked to go out and party. A baby would completely derail any type of plans to continue this lifestyle starting immediately. “Okay,” Aerick managed to say when Angie said she was going to keep it, and not take care of the issue at hand in another manner. “I’m-” He stopped talking, took a deep breath and continued to speak . “I’m not sure if I’m ready to be a father, to be quite honest. I came to London with a specific purpose in mind, something bigger than the both of us combined, and…” he trailed off again, knowing he probably sounded like a complete arse. He couldn’t come out and say that he was here to hunt down and murder his father to extract the revenge he had been seeking for months now; she’d probably report him to the Aurors and have him arrested for conspiracy to commit murder. “Let’s...play it by ear for now, see how things go.” Was all he said. He tried to smile, but he knew it looked more like a grimace than anything. A baby. Well, this certainly threw a wrench into his plans. @angie

He wasn’t sure that he was ready to be a father. Classic. Though, Angie couldn’t really blame him. She didn’t really come here expecting anything different. She hadn’t come expecting a proposal or anything. She didn’t want to marry him, she wasn’t even sure that she wanted to continue to see him if he asked. He had been fun, a fun fling. That was it, Angie couldn’t see herself falling in love with him anymore than she could see herself… well… having a baby. But one of those things was about to become a reality and that was the one that she had to focus on. “Okay well I’m not exactly jumping at the bit to be a mother either.” Angie said with a scoff and turned her face to look down at the floor. Why had she come here in the first place? Because it was the right thing to do and he deserved to know. She sighed. When had she become such a good person? “Yeah. Whatever. It’s fine.” she shrugged when he suggested that they play it by ear. Whatever that meant. “Sorry to have ruined your plans.” she added dismissively. Her plans, however, were still perfectly in place, thanks for asking, jerk.

Aerick bit back a sigh as he leaned forward, rubbing his palms over his eyes. This was coming out all wrong, and now Angie seemed pissed. He couldn’t blame her really, he was sounding like a complete arse. He just...well he had never been in this situation before. Not that he was a virgin, far from it really. But he was entirely sure they had been careful during their night of passion. He kept his palms over his eyelids as he racked his brain. Sure, both of them had had a few drinks, but Aerick had always prided himself on having a safe track record. Had he actually messed up this time? “I’m sorry, its….” Aerick trailed off, about to say ‘a lot to take in’ but he expected he was preaching to the choir. He sighed, and finally raised his gaze to look at her. “Look, I don’t pretend to know what I’m doing, but...if you need the help you know, I will help. Money, babysitting….” he trailed off again, and chuckled wryly. “I don’t expect you see me as a forever partner,” he said, raising a brow at her. He hadn’t gotten that impression, and while she was fun, being together for the sake of a child never ended well. Aerick knew that one all too well. @angie
