a.p.
You are likely the first person ever to admit you paid attention in History of Magic. I choose to look to the future, and learn from the pasts’ mistakes. Something maybe Voldemort should have done in the downfall of Gellert Grindlewald. Alas, I suppose being born from a love spell does hinder a moral compass.
Speaking of, I have another job for you. My sources have told me there has been someone frequenting the bar at Club Indigo who loudly has been going on about how he’s going to be the next “big Bad”. Probably a drunk just looking for attention, but the bartender has had to perform several memory modifications on the Muggle patrons that frequent the club, and I’d hate for them to lose patrons due to this person. I’m going to need you to follow him and find out what can back up this claim. Then report all this information back to me. Do not take any physical action - I will take it from there.

mr. a,
There are historians, so I’d say I’m probably not the first ever… but probably the first who didn’t want anything to do with history after graduating from school. Looking to the future is certainly not a bad thing. I wish I was better at not dwelling on the past, but my personal flaws aren’t all that relevant. As for Voldemort, we should be glad that he didn’t learn from the mistakes of Grindelwald, or we may have been left with a Dark Lord dictator. I’d rather not live in a world that dark.
I will begin my excursions to the club, and update you as necessary, especially if this patron isn’t there on my first few visits. Understood on the lack of physical action – I’ll report to you as soon as there’s information to give, or, as I said, if there are extenuating circumstances that prevent me from collecting information. yours sincerely, a. p. a.p. Grindlewald and Voldemort made many mistakes that anyone with a brain could look back and see. They were too arrogant to notice or accept their flaws, which led to their downfalls. That, coupled with Albus Dumbledore and your dear father of course, we cannot forget the legacy they preserved with the Dark Lords defeat. I would caution you to not be too optimistic however, as we live in far from a perfect world - good does not always prevail over what is considered evil.
Please do keep me informed - we will need intel on when and how best to...quiet this boisterous person.
until then, mr. anderson Albus Severus Potter

mr. a,
It’s funny that you should say that their worst pitfall is their inability to notice their own flaws, since I would argue the worst pitfall of many heroes – maybe even my father – is their ability to notice their own strengths. What about you, Mr. Anderson – what are your flaws? All in the name of self-betterment, of course. I have never been optimistic, sir; maybe that is a flaw of mine, or maybe it’s a strength. I’ll have to think more as to which.
The man you’re asking about is either a Metamorphmagus or extremely adept at self-Transfiguration. He has money, but no one seems to respect him – whenever he meets someone new, they refuse to shake his hand. He’s not powerless, but not lethal, either. He’s rooming in the Leaky Cauldron at the moment; third floor, I don’t know which room. He goes to bed alone every night, so it would be easy for someone to intercept him there. yours sincerely, a. p. Elaine Lyra Dupree

Albus,
A mastermind never reveals his deck of cards to other players, does he? I will not be so vain as to say I do not have any flaws; humans are never born flawless though some people may argue otherwise. I will however, be keeping my flaws to myself. One can never be too careful in these dangerous times, especially if our letters are intercepted.
The Leaky Cauldron eh? How foolish of him; such an obvious place for a wizard to rest his head. To be discreet, one must blend in with the Muggles, even if they are part of a vastly different world. I will be sending one of senior officials to interrogate him. You have done well. I only ask in a weeks time you head to Club Indigo a final time to see if the rumors this man has been spreading have been put to bed.
Mr. Anderson
