hello there, my name is Maxine Sullivan but you can call me Max or Maxie. i'm a student and 15 so that makes me a sixth year at Ilvermorny, now Hogwarts. You could say I'm ambitious, cunning, & resourceful but I personally think that I am passionate, intelligent & stubborn. People say I look a lot like Bailee Madison, but I don't really see it...

Bailee Madisonappearance:
Maxine with her dark doe brown eyes and dark brunette hair that falls below her shoulders - making her look rather sweet and almost innocent, she is however also a little on the shorter side - reaching around 5'2 on a good day - but is a feisty thing, never letting her smaller stature stop her from doing whatever it is she wants. She may be small, but she isn't one to be underestimated. She has several smaller scars from her childhood, and one along her left shoulder from a bad flying accident that she suffered when she was twelve.
While her family has never been one to really struggle all that much when it comes to money, it isn't always obvious with how Maxine dresses, preferring to wear older things or honestly - just jeans and a worn old top that she likely stole from one of her siblings, while she knows about fashion and how to look good when she needs to do so, although she has never considered herself overly 'pretty' and she hates wearing makeup - she prefers to dress more for comfort rather than to show off something that costs a lot yet is extremely uncomfortable and makes her feel like she isn't herself.

The first and one of the most important things that people will learn about Maxine is that she hates being called Maxine. She can deal with being called Max, Maxie is even okay - or even just M or call her something else - call her tiny or kiddo. But don't call her Maxine. Since her mother’s death, the only person who she’s okay with calling her Maxine is her father - who rarely even calls her Maxine as it is.
Maxine has often been labelled as a headstrong and independent girl, even as a small child this remained a fact about her, she was the only daughter with two brothers - so being ' girly' was something she never really fit into. Instead she had always preferred to do as her brothers were doing, if they could do it - then of course she could do it as well and she'd do her best to do it even better than they could do it. This is still something she continues to do, although for the most part it has become a running joke with her brothers.
She is a very passionate person and when she puts her mind to it, she will succeed - or do her very best to try and succeed until she does manage to do it. She puts her all - her heart and her soul into things she wants to do, and her passion and determination is easily able to be seen. She has a quick mind, almost cunningly so - when it comes to rules she enjoys bending them to see how far she can go without actually breaking them, when it comes to her studies and school work though - Maxine works hard to succeed to the best of her abilities, it is just another thing she wants to do her best at and prove she can do it well.
When it comes to her relationships to people around her, the closer you are to her - the more you see. Family is of utmost importance to the girl, there are few things she cares about more than her brothers and her father, she is very much a Daddies girl - although she rarely uses this to her advantage as she respects her father more than anyone else. Her brothers are very much her closest friends, although she does have other friends through school - she has never been one to have a huge group of close friends, so those closest to her are what she considers loyal friends and she cares deeply, sometimes a little too much about them. She can be a friendly person, at least if you don't mess with those she cares about - if you do; however, Maxine will prove she has her friends backs and is willing to do just about anything to keep them safe.

Maxine's story begins before she was born, her mother and biological father had known each other at school - having been friends growing up, both having been born to no-mag families and thrown into a magical world for education. After graduation; however, things between them began to change as they slowly were growing apart, they fought it however and stuck together longer than it was expected - until however Maxine's mother fell pregnant. The idea of being parents was a struggle that finally tore the couple apart.
While her mother was pregnant she reconnected with Jackson Sullivan, who was currently raising his own young son on his own as well, they had known each other back at school and the two clicked well when meeting up once again. Her mother was still dealing with being pregnant and her relationship falling apart over the news of becoming parents, so the two despite feeling a connection - decided to wait and see what would happen. But the further along the pregnancy progressed - the closer they became and as her due date drew near - so did the little mismatched family they were becoming.
So on December 22nd, Maxine was born to Alexandria and Jackson Sullivan, following just a few minutes after her twin brother Mason - she came into the world. It was a few months after the twins were born that her parents officially married, with all three children there. However, there was something that wasn't mentioned - as the children grew up - Alexandria made sure the twins weren't aware that Jackson wasn't their biological father, she had contacted Samuel when the twins were due, but he didn't wish to be involved. But the twins had Jackson -and he was their father, their family was happy.
Maxine's family lived on a large property, with lots of space and area to run around and play for the young children. Often, she would be running around and exploring with her brothers, rarely could she be found simply sitting around inside. But it was when Maxine was six and when her magical powers were beginning to really start to flare up that Maxine discovered her favourite part about having so much space. It was in the form of a beautiful young horse that Maxine named Aria - she instantly found a connection with the animal and whenever she couldn't be found she was right there with her favourite companion, either talking to the creature or trying - and failing - to teach herself to ride. Her mother began to teach her to ride after a particularly rough landing, but along with horse riding lessons she was also taught to fly on a broom, both riding lessons became a clear favourite with Maxine and within a little over a year she was happy to be able to do both fairly well.
Her childhood was a happy one, with her knowing and counting down days after her older brother began to attend Ilvermorny, eagerly waiting for it to be her turn to attend the school she had grown up hearing so much about. The day the twins did get their chance to though was one of the happiest days, with her parents being so proud - their father was also a professor at the school, so the adjustment was a easy one, knowing he wasn't all that far if Maxine felt she needed to talk with him. Plus with both Maxine and her twin ending up both in the same house together - Horned Serpent, at first Maxine had been horrified at being in a house with a snake as the animal, but she fit in well and soon grew okay with the idea - the Sullivan twins had quickly gained their own little reputation by the end of their first week, they were mischievous little things - her father found it amusing even if he tried to hide it.
But when Maxine was in her first year at Ilvermorny though, that tragedy struck their family after an accident happened to their mother when she wasn't home - there were rumours of it not being an accident, but to their small family - the tragedy was still as heart breaking. There had been a fire - and her mother had been killed. The mere thought of how her mother must have died began to cause Maxine to have nightmares, constantly dreaming of horrible flames of fire. The loss of her mother hurt and the fact that she knew there were rumours of it possibly not being an accident that made her more upset, her mother had been a good woman - a good witch, and she wanted to know the truth. But there didn't seem to be a truth, if there was more than just a tragic accident that happened, it wasn't discovered or at least not made aware of to their family.
Despite the tragedy that had fallen onto their family, the next few years passed quietly - their lives continued, the children continuing their education and their father teaching. Of course, they did hear of things happening across the water - things happening at Hogwarts and were all the way over in England. But those kinds of things were far away, there was nothing they could do about it - but the things they heard. People - kids dying, kids who were magical but born to parents with no magic... like her mother had been. It gave Maxine a feeling of unease, wondering again on if there could be a connection even as far away as it was and how her mother had died several years ago now.
But that wasn't the end of the news that was heard, as more news soon followed the following year - but this time, it didn't happen at Hogwarts, but rather it was to students - other school students who had left Hogwarts. The carriage and ship from two other magical schools Durmstrang and Beauxbaton were destroyed and the death toll rose again - more students, more lives were lost, and it was becoming clearer than ever that this wasn't going to end soon.
Her fears and worries proved true - although not at all how it was expected. The next news wasn't from over in England, but far closer to home. It wasn't Hogwarts or the other schools, but her very own school Ilvermorny that had been attacked this time. Maxine was furious, and rather terrified - Ilvermorny was her second home, it was her school. On top of that however, Maxine was worried - if they couldn't go back to school, where would they go? She insisted on finding out as soon as she could - and having a father who happened to have worked at her own school certainly helped. But the answer left Maxine a little confused - while it was logical to transfer to another magical school, the answer of Hogwarts was one that was a little confusing. Was it really going to be safe there?
Moving to England has left Maxine feeling rather lost and uneasy, it’s a strange experience but she knows she isn't alone. Along with her class mates she has her twin brother - and her father had been considering seeing if he could gain a teaching position at Hogwarts this coming year, to not only keep close to his children but also help his other students adjust to the move and the changes. But regardless of the familiarity - Maxine still isn't sure - after all the things she had heard that had happened she is worried that perhaps they are heading straight into more bad things that could happen and in a new place - can she keep her family safe?
