The girl she was walking with continued to ask about wands before they got into the shop, Brooke found herself shrugging, “I suppose they import cores and woods and all sorts of things. It doesn’t really make sense that a wizard would only be able to use the items native to their land, does it? I don’t know if magic cares about supporting the local economy so much.” she admitted. Plus, she wasn’t an expert and she didn’t know exactly how it worked. She wasn’t even very interested in wands or woods or cores to begin with, but if it took their minds off of the anxiety they were both feeling, then why not speculate?
Once they got into the shop, the girl was obviously in awe and let it show. Brooke smiled, seeing the look on her face. “Impressive, right? I was just the same when I came in here with Jace.” she admitted. Brooke loved the floor to ceiling shelves which housed the dusty boxes of wands, all with their labels facing out. Boxes flew off the shelf as the wandmaker behind the counter called upon them to hand them to a customer to try. Brooke remembered being yelled at by said wandmaker for touching too much when she had come in to get a wand. “Try something I guess?” Brooke suggested.
