It didn’t really do her much good when he mentioned having taken himself and his sister to Diagon Alley by the same means of travel. She didn’t know what his sister looked like now. For all she knew, his sister had a huge splinching scar somewhere they she hadn’t told him about. His sister could be in the hospital right now for complications from apparition gone wrong. She took a deep breath and kept her eyes closed and just before he waved his wand to get the process going she shouted. "Whoa, whoa! Are you crazy, not here! We’ll get in trouble!," she exclaimed after realizing that they were still in the entrance to the park. There were people all around them, more likely no-majs and she knew they would get into trouble if anyone caught wind of them performing magic somewhere in front of the no-majs. She looked around quickly, spotting somewhere decidedly more secluded before tugging him along with her by the arm she’d held on to. "Okay, here should be good. Go for it”" The words ended on a huff and she closed her eyes once again before the pull took over her. In no time at all, she was opening her eyes to the sight of a plethora of buildings. She took a moment to assess if she felt pain anywhere. "I feel okay, I think, so you did good," she nodded, giving herself and then him a once over to see if he had instead harmed himself. They both seemingly made it over okay. "Yes definitely! Please take me there first I just have to see it for myself," she grinned and nodded quickly in reply to his question. This was it, she was finally going to get a chance to see the Daily Prophet in all of its glory. She really hoped it lived up to her expectations. Maybe she’d even get a chance to meet some reporters.

Ed didn’t like being called crazy by anyone, much less by some American girl who seemed to think she knew everything, but he didn’t say anything in response. He merely rolled his eyes. Muggles were oblivious. They didn’t notice people vanishing into Platform 9 ¾, they weren’t going to notice two random kids disappearing, but he just followed her. No point making a big deal out of it. That would be something the muggles would notice. He couldn’t help but chuckle, however, when she nervously admitted that she thought she was all right and he must have done it right. Man, she wasn’t a very trusting person. Why did she even want him to bring her if she was going to second-guess everything he did? Still, Ed was just trying to make it through this date. It would probably be more enjoyable if he kept his thoughts to himself, so that’s what he did.
Now she was grinning, telling him that she was ready to see the Daily Prophet. He offered his arm, just in case she wanted to take it since the street was quite busy, and then started walking in the direction of the building in question. “Here we are,” he announced once they’d arrived. He walked into the main foyer and paused, turning to her to see her reaction. “What do you think?” he asked. The building was overflowing with people rushing here and there, flying memos and so much commotion that it was a little difficult for him to take it all in at once. Still, he hoped she wasn’t disappointed. That would probably make the date less enjoyable.
