Jess smiled when Ginny confirmed her suspicions, saying that the Prophet would probably let her try out different places. That was definitely nice to know. She giggled a little, "Yeah, maybe letting me try things out will help me and them figure out what my strong suit actually is. Then we'll both know what I need to do."It was nice to have someone to talk to about the way Jess felt while she was in school. "Yeah, I think you're probably right. I'm sure they would have liked my writing, I was just a little too shy to give it a try, you know." Honestly, Jess wasn't too different now than she had been when she went to school. She was still pretty shy and not very outspoken, but she was confident in what she liked and what she wanted, which was writing. She wanted to do well here and was sure that if she really tried it wouldn't be too hard. "I didn't even try to talk to the people in charge of the paper when I went to school." She was too scared to even figure out who she'd have to approach if she wanted to. They entered the Leaky Cauldron, Ginny telling Jess to order anything she wanted to. Jess grinned, choosing a club sandwich. Jess was pretty easygoing when it came to her food. She liked the simplest things best. She turned to Ginny. "So, what do you like to do when you're not working?" she asked, going for some easygoing conversation. Ginevra Molly Potter

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] Ginny smiled and nodded her head, “Exactly—better to find the place you are strongest than being trapped somewhere that sucks the life out of you each day,” she said, of course, it sounded a little morbid coming from her lips, but she hoped that the girl would get a little laugh out of it. If not, that would be awkward. “Not literally suck the life out of you, but I’ve always thought that working on something that you didn’t enjoy just seemed to drag on and on.” it was like that with school work when she was back at Hogwarts, if she didn’t enjoy the class she felt like she was trapped in hell sometimes. Of course, she was never at home unless she was on the Quidditch field, but that discovery came much later in her life. Ginny nodded her head, “Yes, I know what that’s like,” she said truthfully, not wanting to go into detail about her shy times at Hogwarts that was filled with darkness because of Lord Voldemort. Now with him gone and a new evil had come to take his place, it seemed many people had to grow their bravery sooner or later. She nodded her head, “I never did either. Weren’t the best crowd to be around,” she said with a soft laugh. Not long after they entered, found a spot to eat, and ordered their food, she was questioned on what she liked to do outside of work. She laughed lightly, “I used to enjoy spending time with my husband, we used to cook and watch movies after a long stressful day. These days, my life is filled with busy work.” That probably wasn’t what the girl wanted to hear, but it was true. She rarely did much outside of working for the paper even when she was off the clock. “I lead a rather dull and boring life outside of the Prophet these days if I’m honest.”Not long after the statement was spoken, their drinks arrived, and she took a sip from the straw. “What about you? What does Miss Jessavette do outside of her time at the Prophet?”

Ginny seemed to really understand what Jess was saying, which was kind of a relief to the younger woman. She wanted to be doing things that were logical, but she knew her mind didn't always work that way. She nodded as Ginny reiterated what she tried to explain, then chuckled a little. "Yeah, I know what you mean, and that is definitely the goal. I want to start in a place that I actually enjoy and am excited about. That way it'll be more enjoyable and feel more worth it."
It was easy to talk to Ginny, which was a little bit of a surprise for Jess. The woman was famous for her efforts to help fight Lord Voldemort, as well as for her Quidditch career and here Jess stood, talking to her like it was completely normal! In all honesty, it was more of a dream come true for Jess, but she was trying to not come off as the awestruck fan. She nodded when Ginny explained that she hadn't talked much with the writers while she'd gone to school. At least that was another thing they had in common. The fact that Ginny was doing well now was also quite encouraging to Jess. Jess felt guilty when the other woman explained how she used to do things with her husband when she wasn't working. Why wasn't she still- oh yeah. The famous Harry Potter disappeared months ago. Of course Jess would ask a question that brought that up. She wasn't surprised at all when Ginny explained that she was busy with work now. It seemed natural, since her husband was gone and her children in school or grown up and probably working. "Well, if you ever want some company, I'd be willing to do something," she suggested, hoping that Ginny wouldn't mind her saying so. When the question was turned to her, Jess smiled and shrugged a bit. "I have a boyfriend, so most of my time not at work is with him," she said simply. She didn't want to make Ginny miss her husband even more, after all. Ginevra Molly Potter

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] “Exactly!” said the ginger woman as the woman spoke in agreement with what Ginny had said. Of course, it was essentially a comment directed towards Ginny’s agreement with the way that Jessavette though. Having a nice logical head on one’s shoulder was always a good thing. She could tell that bringing up Harry and the life that she missed made the woman feel guilty, especially by the way her eyes changed from bright to slightly pained. Or maybe it was just the ginger reaching for something. She smiled lightly at the girl’s suggestion and gave a small appreciative laugh, “Thank you. I may take you up on that one day,” she said with a quick wink. When the question of her time was changed onto the asker, she did not disappoint. Revealing that she had a boyfriend and she was usually with him. She almost swooned at the young love that was in the air and remembered the many boyfriends she had gone through before she started dating Harry. She nodded her head, “What do kids do these days? Anything fun? It feels like forever ago I was your age and going on dates…” she said with a soft laugh. Of course, she had to grow up rather quickly in her mind, mainly because before she was pushed through the motions of adult life all she remembered was up until around the Battle of Hogwarts all those odd years ago.

It was nice to have the other woman validating Jess' feelings. Sometimes she felt like wanting to find a specific area where she fit was silly, that she would fit wherever she was placed and be able to do the job just fine. While Jess was certain that was true, she also felt like she would do much better if she were doing something she enjoyed more, which was why she wanted to find the perfect department for herself. Even if it took a little while for her to do. She smiled when Ginny thanked her, saying that she might take her up on her offer. "I would love that," Jess answered, really meaning it. She loved doing things with other people and getting to know them better, especially if it meant helping them when they were going through a hard time. She always wanted to be the kind of person that other people felt like they could come to when they needed help with anything. Ginny started to ask what kinds of things she did with Fin and Jess shrugged, "We've gone to dinner, cooked together, watched movies, gone on hikes, walks, and to clubs to dance." She giggled as she thought of their next planned adventure. "We're planning on going to a haunted house sometime this fall, which should be fun." Honestly though, anything with Fin was fun and worth it. She shrugged, "I don't know if that sounds like fun to you, but I definitely enjoy it," Jess told her honestly. She was having quite a lot of fun with him lately, no matter what they were doing. Ginevra Molly Potter

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] After everything that Ginny has been through, it would be nice to have some more friends outside of her small group of family and friends that had survived the Battle of Hogwarts. Sure, Jessavette was way younger than her, but they were co-workers, and they were nice to have as well. She smiled brightly, “Great!” she said, loving that the girl was into the idea of her randomly taking her up on the offer of not being alone. With each other her children away and most of them graduated by now, she was sure that she'd be alone soon enough. Unless they were wrong and Harry was found—but that was a woman’s wish. Jess went to talk about what she and her boyfriend did, including dates, cooking, movie nights, hikes, and so many other things. The girl even revealed plans of a haunted house, and she smiled, but she seemed to think that it didn’t sound fun to her, but she would enjoy it. Ginny shrugged her shoulders, “I think it sounds wonderful, it’s the little things in life that bring the greatest joys.”

Jess didn't really feel like there was much else to be said about spending time together, since she already offered and Ginny Potter seemed excited about the idea. Honestly though, she could hardly believe it. Ginny was one of her childhood heroes, and here Jess was talking to her like she was a normal person and there wasn't anything weird about it! It was a very humbling thought, but she was really glad she got the chance to talk with her. Ginny seemed to understand what Jess was talking about and she smiled, nodding in response. "It is. Spending time with good people and enjoying the little things in life," she said, thinking only about Fin. Her life had changed drastically since she met the man, even more since they began dating. She loved him. Jess wasn't quite ready to tell him so; she didn't know what he'd think about that, but it was true. Ginevra Molly Potter you wanna fade it out? Loved this!

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] ‘It is. Spending time with good people and enjoying the little things in life,’ Her words had Ginny smiling brightly, and truthfully it felt good to be in the company of someone as spirited as Jessavette was. Perhaps spending more time with her could be fruitful for Ginny in the future. She smiled, “Yes—yes it is,” she said in agreement as she took a sip of her glass of water. The two continued their meal, Ginny paid and left a tip before the two gathered their things and returned to work, parting on good terms and Ginny having Jessa promise to get together for lunch sometime soon.
