[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] A soft chuckle left the lips of the older red-head as the younger girl revealed that she did not know what she was saying. Of course, Ginny was not laughing at her more with her because she understood what the girl was saying. She swallowed deeply, deciding to change the topic for the young witch, clearing her throat, “How are your parents? Your sister?” she questioned softly, she hadn’t seen much of her family as of late. Her brother Percy was someone that she hadn’t spoken to in a while but had seen him around both the Burrow and family gatherings. She wasn’t exactly friends with his wife, Audrey, but they were civil with each other, and as for Molly and Lucy, she hadn’t seen the latter in a long while. Perhaps it was time for another family gathering between all of the Weasley clan; she should owl her mother offering the idea – maybe it’ll take everyone’s mind off the darkness of the time.

Anna was somewhat grateful when her aunt changed the topic of their conversation, but really only until she realized what it was that her aunt was asking. About her family. It was a typical, normal topic of conversation, but hard for Anna to talk about. Her relationship with her parents felt as though it was deteriorating every time she spoke with them. Lucy, of course, was much better to be near than her parents, and Anna trusted her with everything. Lucy was easy to talk about. Still, Anna wasn't one to dodge questions. She was pretty honest and blunt about things, and figured her aunt would probably appreciate that. "I don't really talk to dad ... or mum," she admitted. "He was furious when I told him that I was planning on marrying Oscar this fall. Tried to talk me out of it, forbid it and all sorts of things. Of course, I'm still going to invite them to the wedding, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't come. Or at least, I won't be surprised if dad doesn't." Honestly, Anna never had a good relationship with her father. They were both stubborn and determined to do what they wanted despite what the other thought and the older she got the less patience she had with him. Her mother was generally reasonable, but she also had a tendency of siding with Anna's father. She was more gentle and compassionate, but it was still annoying to never have her parents understand her. Anna shook her head ruefully, "Lucy's doing well. She's sharing her apartment with me until the wedding," Anna admitted with a smile. "It's nice to spend so much time with her. It's been a while, since we were always in different houses at school." Anna smiled, trying to think of something to ask her aunt. "Have you seen grandma and grandpa Weasley lately? Do you know how they are doing?" Ginevra Molly Potter

Perhaps she could have their mother give him a right talking, though ever since Voldemort had returned and Percy sided with the ministry against Harry, things have been a little rocky with her relationship with her elder brother. “Speaking of the wedding—have you figured everything out yet? Like the date? The dress? Stuff like that?” she questioned with a smile, it would probably be a while before any of her children got married so the wedding of Anna and Oscar would be a friendly family gathering. “That’s good, I’m glad everyone is doing alright. As for your grandmother and grandfather, I saw the former the other day. She’s doing great, and she said that your grandfather has been doing well,” she said with a smile on her face. Her mother was almost always home, never working a day in her life from what she learned. After marrying her father, they started their family right away, and she just stayed home to care for the children while her father worked. Dad was getting up there in age though so surely, he would retire soon he loved his job so much, who knew with him.

Anna was a little relieved to hear her Aunt's comment about her dad. Even though she knew he didn't get along with all his family members, when it came to things like this, she always worried that they'd go on his side and tell her that she was being an idiot. She shrugged, "I don't think he has anything against Oscar, unless he doesn't like that he's French," Anna answered slowly. "I think he thinks I'm taking things too quickly and that I'm going to regret my decision to marry him ... and that I'll mess up my career opportunities. Or something like that," she tossed her hair over her shoulder, trying to pretend like her father's opinions didn't bother her as much as they did. She smiled and nodded, "Mostly. It's going to be in August on a small beach that we have reserved. Irina Krum helped me find my dress and I'm super excited!" Really, she couldn't stop thinking about her wedding as it approached. The idea of marrying Oscar just made her so happy, Anna couldn't wait. She wanted to be with him always, and this was the best way to do that. Ginny started explaining about Anna's grandparents and she smiled and nodded, "I'm glad things are going well for them," she said easily. It was true. She loved her grandparents. They were so sweet and supportive and really just fun to be around. "I'll have to go visit them soon," she said, making a mental note of that. She always loved visiting them when she got the change. [googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] Ginny laughed lightly, “That’s because your father was always more worried about work than that of his family’s happiness,” she said with a roll of her eyes. Percy had gone head first into the ministry and had kept his attention towards making anyone there a happy camper, even if it put a strain through the family. While the others seem to allow his past not to define him, Ginny held a grudge to this day – but she was civil with him. She liked his children better than she liked him. She shrugged her shoulders, “I say ignore him and do what you want. You should be happy. If he tries to say anything…let me know,” she said with a smile and a wink towards her niece. “Oooh, a fall wedding on a beach, sounds lovely,” she said with a small sigh and a little laugh that left her lips. As long as her family was happy, she was happy, even if she felt like shit on the inside. She didn’t even remember her wedding to the infamous Harry Potter, all she had were pictures to remind her of her happy day. And she always commented on how happy she had been in those pictures, how the dress was beautiful and the day was lovely. “You should, I’m sure they would love a visit from you Anna,” she said with a smile on her face. It was true, now that there were no children in the house, Molly and Arthur Weasley had time on their hands that she was sure they knew nothing to fill it with. Her mother, especially, enjoyed the company of anyone that wanted to stop by.

What her aunt was saying definitely made sense. What Anna knew about her father growing up, he definitely focused more on his career than on the relationships with his family. Anna just didn't know if she could do that. Every time she considered it, she remembered the day when the Beauxbatons carriage was attacked and the horror and overwhelming worry that took over her. She couldn't imagine her life without Oscar, didn't even want to try to. She needed him in her life and he felt the same way. Why should they wait. She smiled, nodding when Ginny told her to do what she wanted and to let Ginny know if her father did or said anything. Anna nodded. "Thank you." She really meant it. She loved how even when her father was unsupportive, she could still find family that was willing to be there for her. She grinned and nodded when Ginny said that the wedding ideas sounded lovely. "I sure hope it turns out that way. I think everything is coming together nicely for it," she told her aunt, her mind flitting away to all the preparations that she and Oscar were going through. They weren't planning on having a large wedding by any means, which definitely helped the preparing, but she still wanted to make sure that it was all perfect and ready before the last minute. This was one thing Anna didn't want to wait for. Ginny agreed with her, saying that she should visit her grandparents. "I will," Anna promised. She loved seeing her grandmother, in particular. Even though she went by Anna, her first name was Molly and she'd always felt like she had a bit of a connection with her grandmother for that. The two of them got along wonderfully. [googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] “Anytime dear,” breathed Ginny as she gave a gentle pat to Anna’s hand in a supporting manner. Ginny knew how to felt to love someone so much that you couldn’t dare dream of living without them—she felt that way with Harry. When she was younger, it had been a soft crush that turned into love and passion. And now—with him gone—she barely lived her life anymore. He had stayed with her through thick and thin, especially when she lost her memory of their life together, and she wanted to stay strong for him. If he came home tomorrow, she would be in bliss. She remembered hearing what Anna was like when the attack on Beauxbatons and Durmstrang rides home were attacked, and she knew exactly how she had felt. It was horrible—not knowing if the one you love is alive or dead…it’s not a feeling Ginny would wish on anyone. Ginny nodded, “That’s good. If you need any help, let me know—I’m always in the looks for a nice little distraction,” she said with a soft ring of laughter. With her kids away and Harry missing, she needed any distraction she could get these days. Anna agreed to visit her grandparents, and Ginny nodded and smiled, there wasn’t anything that could be said to that.

It was nice, being able to talk to someone who understood. Even though she and Ginny weren't as close as they once were, Anna knew that her aunt loved her and was there to support her in any way she could. Anna appreciated that. She hoped she could be the same kind of person for those around her and felt like she was. She could still talk to her close friends about anything as well as her sister and some of her cousins. Anna nodded, chuckling just a little, "I will definitely let you know if I need any help with the planning." She heard a clock chime from the other room and jumped up, looking at her own wrist. "Oh, I have to go!" Anna looked to her aunt apologetically. "I'm so sorry I have to leave so abruptly, but it was so nice to see you. I'll talk to you soon!" Anna gave Ginny a quick hug and a wave before leaving the house. She needed to get to the apartment if she wanted to be there by the time Oscar came back from work. Ginevra Molly Potter

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] BUT WE DON'T WANNA GROW UP [attr="class","next"] Ginny enjoyed the company of family, especially after everything that has happened to her. The loss of Harry, even though he was only assumed to be dead, still weighed heavy on her heart. She still held hope that he was alive and well and would return sometime soon to her and the children—but each day it dwindled. She kept hope, mostly because she wanted to stay strong for her children. Spending time with Anna was nice, and she knew it was going to be a small visit when she arrived, they all had lives of their own. Anna had a wedding to plan and a life to live—so when she said that she had to go and apologize for leaving so abruptly, she swished her hand and smiled. The girl gave her a quick hug, and before the two pulled away she spoke, “Don’t be a stranger, okay? Visit me anytime…” And that was that Anna disappeared with a wave of her hand and the click of the door, leaving Ginny to clean up.
