NEW SCHOOL CLUB APPROVED
The Society for the Preservation of Magical Heritage (or SPMH for short) is officially opening its doors for membership after finally receiving approval from the Hogwarts staff. Founded by Priscilla Rosier, fifth year Ravenclaw student, the Society for the Preservation of Magical Heritage is an organization with the sole purpose of preventing the further loss of precious and invaluable history and practices of the magical world.
When asked about why she felt such an organization was necessary, Priscilla Rosier had this to say; “Seeing all of the destruction that has happened in our world today should be concerning to every one of us, no matter where we come from. As a witch with deep roots in Britain’s magical community, it’s frightening that so much of our shared history could be lost in an instant, and we—as students—are in the perfect position to ensure that our heritage is preserved for generations to come.”
This student organization comes at a peculiar time in Hogwarts history where not one, but two, student bodies walk the halls. As we know, Ilvermorny was ransacked during the summer by extremist American activists. While Ilvermorny hasn’t made an official statement an unnamed source stated that among the wreckage at least one third of the school’s library is irreparable, which estimates to several hundred books destroyed; many of which are no longer in print and irreplaceable. Now Ilvermorny and Hogwarts students alike are uniting to prevent such a disaster from happening again. When asked about this new found organization the Ilvermorny student body president said; “I think it’s a great idea. History likes to repeat itself, so we need to be doing what we can to protect our history. I only wish we’d thought of the same idea, because maybe we could have saved at least some of what was destroyed at Ilvermorny.”
While we hope the Ilvermorny class president is wrong and history doesn’t repeat itself, at least if it does we’ll be ready.
