It had been strange for Priscilla, too, to converse with Kinsey for so long. She couldn't say that she was "opening up" to the older girl in any capacity, though, in actuality. There was a lot about her that Kinsey didn't know—things that probably wouldn't have crossed her mind. It was almost funny to speak of her own family as though they were anyone else, the people whom Kinsey probably saw as the "normal" sort. (People who weren't tied to the Dark Arts, that was.)
"Well, I'm glad you can relate with them now."
It must have been so strange not to have the sorts of conversations that she had with her family. Honestly, she'd never interacted with too many people unlike her outside of school to know how those of lesser blood interacted with their families, other than that the children had always seemed to be horribly out of control. Really, it must have been boring, Priscilla thought. What did they do all day without some purpose to their lives? No wonder so many of them had no sense…
As Priscilla remained in thought, Kinsey yawned. "I'm sorry. I should go to bed now," she told her. "It was nice talking to you," she added as she gathered her belongings. "Bye."
"Good night, Kinsey," Priscilla nodded, surprised that Riley's name hadn't come up once.
@kinsey
Fin.
